i think nelson has done little wrong this season.....i cant think of any goals that were all down to nelson off the top of my head except the goal at swindon from the corner which he flapped at.I like Abbey as well..i think both are good enough for this level

i've no doubt Nelson will come back to haunt us, he'll produce a faultless performance, all because the club he goes to has a good goalkeeping coach unlike Brentford.........................f^ck off Stannard.................... :D

i think Nelson is one of the biggest to$$ers we've had playing in the red and white stripes (just realised he playes in Orange or Grey or...............or.................) how many shirts does he get to chose from markbfc? does he have a complimentary dummy to go with the shirt too......................:sorted:

he's been out for most of it. and don;t start the arguement that we'd be better off if he'd been in goal gor all 46 matches..................we'd be 20 points adrift....................not just the 9 or 10....................

I'm just wondering why you think the club have treated him like this. What are the reasons?

Has he got in touch with Bristol Rovers yet? ;)

Good keeper, would be one of the best in Div 2, couldn't give a flying fig about him as a person, its what he does between the sticks that counts for me.

I agree to some extent but unforunately most people on here are commenting about his behaviour between the sticks.

You can afford to be a character and wind up the opposition when you're competent and confident in your ability. Unfortunately Nelson should have concentrated on matching or bettering the performances of Nathan. But no, whilst not really at fault, he had to show off and wind up the oppo, great when you're winning but bloody pointless and somewhat half wit when you're 10 points adrift, without a win for god knows how long and relegated to boot.

He has talent no doubt but I'd be happily shot of him, he needs to change his attitude and apply himself to the job first and then he might just become a good league 1 goalkeeper.

The bloke is too error prone, his decision making sucks and his positional sense isn't much better. The fact that he also seems to want to incite a riot with the oppo fans every game just confirms we will be best shot of the bloke.

On the evidence of this season Abbey is much the better perfomer, I for one wouldn't shed any tears to wave Nelson goodbye!

It's his winding-up of the officials that really shows his crass immaturity. Why deliberately annoy those that can award penalties and lots of minutes in injury time when you're 2-1 up against Oldham.

Remember folks this is our club captain who has squirted his water bottle

i) over a steward at an away game (ok it was Charlton) and escaped being punished for being a ***** because the referee had left the pitch by then and CCTV didn't catch it
ii) over the penalty spot last Saturday when a penalty was awarded and picked up a booking for being a *****.

Abbey is better than Nelson. FACT.

Nelson does strut around abit, but he is passionate on the pitch.

Didn't go to Nottingham so didn't see what happened there, but after the Scunthorpe came, at the final whistle Abbey looked so gutted that we had lost. He then turned around and applauded the Brook road. A good sentiment from a good goalie.

I think the words chosen for the options in the poll are immature.. but I guess when it's Nelson.. it's ok :rolleyes:

I look past the sarcastic wording of the options of the poll, I see them as Yes/No, Like/Dislike, etc. so I will vote accordingly.

He's a *****!!!!

But for his antics there would not have been 4 minutes added time against Oldham, therefore we would have won and got promoted. FACT!

so the Blackpool result wouldnt have mattered and some of the saves he made to help win/draw games didnt count.

Please grow up, one game doesnt make a season or is it one swallow.....
