Sorry but all those who think we will get promoted after this result are dreaming. If you cant score against teams like LO at home then we have no chance. Oh and while i'm at it Coventry will rip us to sheads next Sunday
Do you honestly believe that? On current form, they are a considerably better team than us. I thought the ref had a decent game actually.
Maybe, problem was Clayton didn't go over, got his shot off and didn't appeal.
as far as form goes they are better, but form is hardly a good reason to believe we are a lesser team because we aren't hitting the potential we have, at the end of the day, we out played them first half and were camped in their half for probably 65 minutes, until they got a penalty, maybe its a case of sour grapes because I love Brentford and hate orient but I don't see what they have that we've got and 10 times more, we are a much better team and have much better players, we're just missing a catalyst, all they really have is belief something we seem to be lacking.
Don't think that is fair, as Orient had a very well organised defence. I could see that with the confidence that oozes throughout their team, why they are top of the table. We might have won had Craig scored, and it's fine lines that win or lose games. I'm annoyed we lacked the fight to get back into it. We just ran out of ideas.
Thought we were on top till that penalty and still don't think it was a penalty. .

Reading through this is soo depressing! We really weren't as bad as most people are making us out to be. Simply the same as last year dominating games, not taking our chances. Richard Lee didn't have to make a save.
They were very average and after some injuries and as season goes on they'll finish top 8 but nowhere near top 2.
It was.
Just for the record, when was the last time we played a team who's starting team numbers went from 1-11? In 1980? That shows how lucky LO have been with injuries and unfortunately for them probably shows why they will likely miss out on the PO's this year, but my goodness what a great start and they are no mugs that is for sure.
Sorry paul usa but i saw nothing pretty. In fact i saw nothing encouraging at all. Just trying to comfort myself with the fact the orient are a bogey team for us. But i still dread sunday.
There was a foul on Grigg before that as well, Clayton's honest something most players aren't he'd rather score a goal than go down, but regardless of whether he took the shot or not he was fouled and should have got the penalty

I should have been clearer. - We play pretty passes from our box to half way - we can do that cos the oppo let us do it - when it matters, in thier half, we do not play pretty football or have much idea.

Oh and why do we always have a lack of options from throw ins, I hate seeing one of our players holding the ball behind their head searching for someone to throw it to. Its league 1 and it doesn't hurt launching a throw into the box if we are in the oppositions final third, particularly with Dean and Taylor to aim at. It doesn't mean we are changing our football "philosophy" it just means we are utilising an opportunity to get the ball in the box!
Belief can get you along way though. Look at Yeovil, Doncaster, B'muff.... We might have individually better players than LO, but we don't have a better team as a whole. Rosler needs to sort this out by Xmas at the latest, because if we ain't close to the play offs by then the club needs to ask the question whether he's the man to get the best out of these players..
Good report Bridge Bee, the passing football IS a myth. Anyone can pass it around on the half-way line, then it all breaks down where it matters. We looked good against Sheff Utd but look where they are now. Coventry on Sunday is looking grim now. They score goals for fun.
what are you watching...we have taken a step back from last season.no signs of improvement
you are joking....Donaldson throws himself to the floor as much as most players,at times when he has a half decent opportunity of going at goal

Although we shaded it in the first half we never looked like scoring, so once Orient started banging the ball into the channels we were always going to lose it. The subs were poor: it wasn't a game for Tex and Dallas was awful.
Time for Uwe to think the unthinkable and configure an attack without Donaldson, who never looked like scoring with a few long-range punts, is not able to win headers, can't pass and doesn't close down. I don't really care what people think of his socks, time to try something new.
Lee - solid apart from when he slipped over in first half clearing, t close with the penalty
Craig - not too bad at left back but not a marauder like Bidwell
Harlee - trying hard but slightly off what he was l
Taylor - limited but dominant and perfect for what we needed. Good signings uncannily like Terry Evans from afar
Logan - a bit wobbly, didnt seem that focussed
Dave - not bad, without ever looking comfortable on the ball
Filo - v poor. One cross on the run in particular horribly overhit. International class did not remotely show up today
McCormack - not his best game, seemed to fade. Drove forward well in first half
Forshaw - embarrassing how much he stands out above the rest. Totally in control and when he gets the ball it is like he could do whatever he wants
Grigg - seemd to play up front in the centre. Didnt suit him. Needs games
Donaldson - a curious mixture of excellent forward play, unnecessary tricks that don't come off, and huff and puff
Their keeper didnt make a decent save
We WERE coming into it and looked the better team before the penalty, without ever really looking like scoring
Orient are very well organised. They all look like they know what they are doing but they are playing pretty well near their maximum. We are some way off ours.
Reading this thread it seems that the opinion is Orient are an average side that will implode.
Not sure what that makes us as they just beat us 2-0 at our place.
We play very pretty football to just past the half way line - but when that bit of quality is needed we just do not have it.
We have some very good individuals playing for us. If only we had a management structure that could get them to play as a team.
Very poor tonight and we sadly got exactly what we deserved.
Most worrying aspect after tonight and these 8 games is that we've actually gone backwards from last season. We signed 14 players but how many of them have actually made us a better team? For me we are badly missing Moore, Adayemi and Forrester and haven't replaced them.
McCormack I like but i don't think he's going to win us games on his own. Saville is certainly a huge talent but really a young kid, Grigg a couple of goals but not much else. Fillo? Drifts in and out but not much of an impact.
Other than that have we just signed a load of squad players who haven't made us any better? Bonham, Venta, Nugent, etc all seem a bit of a waste.
Im not so sure we do have better players this season though, we have lost Simon Moore in goal, Tom Adeyemi (loan) and Harry Forrester. Dont get me wrong, the guy from swindon is good but we lack somebody to come off the bench to make an impact. Grigg is not the signing we hoped for, Douglas has been injured and we are unlucky with both Bidwell and the kid from Everton have injuries but as for bringing back Trotter, smacks a bit of a desperate move IMHO.And yet I think we have better players. We've certainly been hampered by injuries and suspensions, but some of the stars of last season have failed to hit those heights so far this season, and too often we fail to stamp our own mark on games. Uwe's been backed as well as any Bees Manager and he needs to start to show pretty quickly that he's the solution and not part of the problem.
