Play Off Final

And so it comes to pass...

What do you reckon? Offer them a 4-0 defeat now in order to allow them to avoid humiliation? or smash them :)

Play Off Final

Its either going to be a 1-0 or 4-3 job I think. Depends how much both teams get at each other, I can see us racing out of the blocks and stopping them trying to play their passing game, especially if Mitrovic is out.

Play Off Final

Any chance we could get Jota on loan to come off the bench for a last minute goal?

Play Off Final

The biggest game in our entire 131 year history - and no crowd to witness it. Surreal.

Play Off Final

If we play like we have for 80% of the season, then we will win. I just hope that we turn up and compete in a play off final, as the other 3 occasions have all been a let down. However, this is the best set of players we have ever had, Benrahma is due a goal or two, we scored the most goals in the championship and had the 2nd best defence.

As I've said on another thread, we need to start like last night and get a goal ahead. Our record shows that once we take the lead this season, we rarely lose.

There I go again. I said after Stoke & Barnsley I would be pessimistic and expect nothing and last night has got my hopes up all over again! I'm really hoping that the disappointment of those two games will make sure they won't throw it away for a third time. I don't think I could take that, especially against F**ham.

Pointless post really, but I wonder what the attendance would have been at Wembley for this game? How many armchair fans would have come out of the woodwork?

Play Off Final

Bees 4/7 for promotion
Fulham 11/8

What does GPG Supercomputer say??!!

The Championship PO final is usually a near sell out. This would have been 85,000 plus - larger by far than anything else we have ever played in front of.

Scott Parker just spoke as if he had the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Well that was a peaceful 24 hours I just had. Now I’m back to the pre Swansea game. Nervous as hell but equally excited. Confident we will win but just that fear of losing to that scum !!

We're better off without a lot of the "fans" who showed up for the Arsenal game

We should know better than anyone how much luck is involved in football.

Of course, as some of you rightly say, there’s an argument to say we are the better team. After all, we did beat them twice. The bookies also have us as favourites.

But in a one-off game they can beat us. It’s just the way football is. And it’ll be very hard to stomach if they do.

My main hope is that we put everything into it. Just outrun them and outfight them. If we do that and still lose than I think I’ll recover (eventually).

You might be right but we’ve been denied the first ever Wembley full house and I expect us to win. Dreams are made of it and we can’t watch. It’s heartbreaking.

As you said, a one of game and we are vulnerable.

We beat Swansea 6-1 (on aggregate, winning both games) but lost our first leg to them 1-0. Winning both games in the regular season means nothing.

Brilliant isn't it, he won't motivate anyone if he speaks like that in the changing room

The Sky pundits tipping us. It’s a final so who knows but feeling fairly relaxed about it right now

Just got a feeling our little Algerian magician is going to save his best till last.

For Brentford players, getting to the premiership is theIr lifetime dream come true, and not many have played up there before regularly I don’t think. Conversely, many of the Fulham players have been there last season with Fulham I believe, and had a torrid and disappointing time of it, getting trounced week in - week out and relegated. I wonder whether this might have some level of psychological impact in terms of hunger next Tuesday? Fulham didn’t look elated to have scraped through to the final tonight.

I think we become Nervous Nellie fans at big finals at Wembley so it's a blessing we ain't there. Let them get on with it and get the result! 3-1 Bees.

Yours, Nell.

It’ll probably be the largest TV audience that have ever watched us play.!

And because it’s a large pitch, that will give us a lot of space to stretch them, and run around them.

Parker looks like he’s lost the game, already making excuses. What a refreshing difference in Thomas Franks attitude.

Play Off Final

I’m bloody nervous...

Scott Parker just spoke as if he had the weight of the world on his shoulders.

A couple of times he sounded like he was going to start crying. Probably completely exhausted. Also sounded like he thought they’d got away with it.

It's a standard sized pitch.

I think they did get away with it. Certainly seemed to crumble under pressure. Our analysts will have a field day dissecting that .

Play Off Final

I spoke to a couple of Foolham fans who said we couldn't cope with a big pitch, as our game is built on not conceding Another today who said Ollie could be banned as he was seen in a pub drinking with fans after last night's match, ignoring social distancing To balance that out, another said he wanted Swansea to win, as he was really worried about playing Brentford

..."Premier League", not Premiership (!).

On tonight's performance they did.

Scotty thinks the final is a toin coss. They looked demoralised, they know that if Tomlin hadn't got injured they would have had to go to injury time at least. Whereas, we look full of confidence.

Take it only video coverage on Sky? Will have to find an accommodating mate! Not sure who has Sky these days of our friends! Lost track over the years . Even Mrs hb, who has no interest in football, has said she'd 'probably' watch! No reflection on iFollow coverage, but may have to rely on Marky & Mick.C! Happy to do so if no alternative...

Play Off Final

What's gone has gone - Fulham will be downbeat having lost tonight but really it means nothing. They are a good team.

We are a fabulous team and if we put it on like we did for large parts of yesterday's match, we'll win. Of course football doesn't work like that but it is no fluke or accident that we are where we are, as we all know (and us oldies are amazed by!)

You can buy a one day Sky Sports Pass for £9.99 from Now TV - see nowtv.com. They also do weekly and monthly passes. (I think Now is owned by Sky)

A pass gives you the full choice of Sky's sports channels, including "Main Event" which will have the game, for 24 hours from activating your pass. Depending on what's on, you may also get something else which appeals eg after watching Bees beat Swans last night, I watched the cricket today.

You can watch on your PC (or iPad or Mobile, I imagine) and if you have a Smart TV, also on that when you download the Now app on the TV. You can have it showing the game on two devices (possibly three?) at the same time

Hope this helps but if you have any technical queries, you'll be better off asking someone else on here, since I'm a bit of a div on such matters.
