Ref Watch 2016/17
I thought today's ref was shocking, stubborn and inept. How did their keeper not get booked? Risible ineptitude

The Madley brothers can always be relied on to infuriate
Shame Mac couldn't play today he would have managed the ref and sorted out Donaldson's theatrics every time someone came near him..
And would have got sent off no doubt.
Mac never gets sent off, as said he knows how to "manage" refs and tones down when he needs to.
I was referring to the dick head of a referee today more than anything.
I know, I was certain he was going to send him off.Yeah true, I felt he was itching to brandish a red and then when he had the chance with Egan he surprised me and didn't.
His brother Mad Madley sent off Tony Craig for fouling Clayton 2 years ago and today his brother was equally inept. Totally wet and spineless. Gave us nothing all afternoon.
Wasn't it one of them that sent Jug ears off at Leyton Orient ?

We had no-one "manage" him today, one of the m/f, either Woods or Yennaris really need to learn ref maangement from someone like Alan McCormack. Smith was having a word on the way out for the second half but we need players happy to get in the ref's ears during a game.
Birmingham's number 11, Cotterill, tried to "manage" him and got booked for his trouble, Is that we want our players to do?
He got booked for stopping Barbet take a free kick quickly or not going back 10 yards, he had earlier been a knob at a corner, nothing to do with trying to manage the ref.Birmingham's number 11, Cotterill, tried to "manage" him and got booked for his trouble, Is that we want our players to do?
Now he was proper annoying.
...............the sloth of a keeper took the royal rise out of today's inept referee.............[/QUOT
I have said for a long time that since the rule changed about the keeper can take a goal kick from any side instead of where the ball went out of play there has been a lot more time wasting.

Pity we didn't have the ref who booked Button in 40th minute on Saturday for his usual time wasting. Kuszczak would surely have been off.

............I can think of a couple...........There truly are no words.
Sorry, this post coincided with my own, above, but it was a push, both hands, which unbalanced the Burton player. Maybe not at all obvious from most angles, but quite clear if inline on the Ealing Road.As for the disallowed goal. It's football. Physical contact is allowed.

But I have to say, he got the disallowed SH "goal" correct - Scotty gave their guy a subtle, but clear push as the ball came down, which meant he was able to speed away unchallenged.
Fair enough, but he was square on to the ER, which was why it was more obvious.Didn't look like it fromBraemar. Looking forward to seeing it again.
No argument there. But he was still appalling.
No doubt he lost it during the brawl at the end, and there were a few dodgy decisions before then, too.

Obviously the majority of the crowd were incensed with the ref by then, but if there was a TV camera at the right angle, it should show up.
