Ref Watch 2016/17

Staggeringly inept.

Missed a blatant push on Canos which even their fans say was a pen.

Missed the throw in shenanigans that led to the second goal

What was that high kick decision against Jota when he was through

Penalising Canos when he dispossessed their last man

Where their first and our second goals offside?

Ref Watch 2016/17

The bloke is a complete James Hunt. Useless, and a face you would never get tired of punching.

Ref Watch 2016/17

He's just so awful and seems to focus on himself rather than the game. He can't be at fault for his assistant not showing what looked an obvious offside for their first, but the shove on Canos is so clear it was unbelievable... and Stroud is stood within metres of it. Then the high boot decision followed by allowing them to take the throw on miles from where the ball went out for the equaliser. I have to believe he only officiates at this level due to a lack of alternatives within the refereeing ranks, but he seems to genuinely drift off during games.

Ref Watch 2016/17

Without any doubt, the worst refereeing performance I have seen in a long time. Also a blatant hand off in the face when Vibe beat the last man to head for goal with about 20 minutes left....he was about 10 metres away and gave nothing! Shocking

It's the worst referreeing performance since...er...the last Keith Stroud performance.

His only consistency is his inconsistency.

Ref Watch 2016/17

I think he likes the controversy. It makes him the centre of attention, you see.

Ref Watch 2016/17

And fell for the the swallow dive by their full back that led to Jota getting booked.

That was a complete joke, not even a foul let alone a booking. The left hand side lino looked like he was on another planet.

Ref Watch 2016/17

Jota wasn't booked for the foul ( which wasn't) he was booked for his reaction.

Ref Watch 2016/17

Whenever I see the "Dorset dwarfs " name in the frame for one of our games I shudder! I don't know whether it's "little man syndrome" or whether he is just not very good at his job but if he was officiating in the Premiership his inconsistent performances would be torn to pieces by the so called experts.I will breath a sigh of relief when he finally hangs up his whistle. And living in his part of the world I hope that one day I bump into him and have the opportunity to "thank" him for all his efforts !!

Ref Watch 2016/17

I've heard from an (non BFC) insider that Stroud is the least popular current official amongst stadium staff. Rude and arrogant to the 'little people' taking care of him.

I find that hard to believe.
He seems like such a lovely fella.

Yes but I said "led to" It was Jota's reaction to Stroud's staggering ineptitude which got him booked for dissent rather than what should have been a booking for simulation by the full back.

Yet strangely, my old next door neighbour (also a football league referee) says he is one of the most popular amongst other refs, is consistently rated highly amongst the assessors and is a very friendly bloke

Sorry, my post was in response to the one above that said it wasn't even foul let alone a yellow. Was just pointing out he was booked for throwing the ball away not the foul (which I agree was a dive and understand Jota's frustration)

There is a site on facebook called " Get keith stroud expelled from the referees list " many supporters from charlton on there so not just us who think he,s crap !

Again ? How many times do we have to have that **** this season ?

Hooper is usually ok IMHO although he did admittedly have a bit of a shocker last time he reffed us .

Can't say the same for Stroud unfortunately . Complete clown

Ref Watch 2016/17

Given up even bothering to shout at them anymore. The standard this year is the lowest I can remember with the assistants offering the referee no support whatsoever.

Ref Watch 2016/17

Naïve today. Not disastrous, but one of these refs who doesn't quite have the realistic, close feel for the game of someone who has played it for a while. For example, in the first half, he missed JoFlo being mugged by the Town right back (in fairness the strangulation was surreptitiously carried out on the blind side of the ref and lino), and then, seconds later, was conned by Rico taking a bit of a dive when he didn't have too many options available to him.

I assume he'd had tuition at drama school for the way he produced the yellow card to Harlee Dean? I half-expected him to take a bow before re-starting play.

The theatrics will be in full swing on Tuesday when Keith Stroud takes to the field
