Rehearsals for the big night are already under way at GP, so I'm told. Glen Murray has been drafted in to direct the diving sequences.

He was poor today but we have had worse this season. He was one of those refs that wants to be the centre of attention, its all about him etc and it sounded like he had been given a new whistle and he wanted to try it out every 30 seconds.

May have had a new whistle but may have been better off in investing in new glasses as it seemed handball was allowed today, by both teams !!

Today's ref was dreadful and you could see looking at him he's never played football at any decent standard. He was the geezer doing cats cradle and skipping ropes with the girls at lunchtime and submitting 500 word entries for creative writing competitions on what you did in your summer holiday.
I think prancing Stroud will probably make us forget him by 10 pm on Tuesday because he is the worst of the worst for me over the last 10 years.

I'm not sure it was a pen but like you posted he was so far away he couldn't have made a call anyway. He was obsessed with having a word with players that had stepped out of line but not sufficiently to get booked.
How after 6 substitutions which are supposed to add 30 secs per sub and his lectures to both Harlee and their skipper Smith plus the drama after Vibe had a meltdown after he was man handled at the corner he only gave 3 minutes extra time is beyond.
We have suffered at the hands of weak refs who side with the bigger team since we got promoted but this one is close to being the worst.
Billing stuck a straight leg out on Harlee and the ref let it go and they didn't capitalise but when our captain let him know he was unhappy he was hooked.
Likewise second half he allowed Nakhi Wells to blatantly push Harlee on the edge of our own box which to 11,300 + fans was a blatant foul and then spent another minute plus lecturing our captain .
Geezer was an embarrassment to himself and football in general. I hope he gets trampled to death by rogue elephants when he takes his turn in an unsupervised Solo attack to another level.

He also allowed no extra time for 'Udders blatant time wasting. Missed at least 2 clear handballs by them as well. Not helped by the lino on the NR side. A starry eyed, very weak ref, who gave us nothing - all the 50/50s went in their favour, IMO.

Don't agree regarding the 50/50 decisions, thought Town were clever and played a very impressive pressing game. Thought the ref was just inept certainly failed to spot handballs from both teams.

Don't think his performance had any reflection on the result, they were better than us and although Vibe should have equalised overall Town, in my opinion, got the result they deserved

He had a bad first half but didn't think he was overly bad second half, and in general to be honest. Have seen far worse- also our penalty shout didn't deserve a penalty

I knew exactly what to expect when he gave the 1st 4 or 5 decisions to us - absolutely nothing else for the rest of the game!

I'll try & remember to take some pills before Tuesday's game starts...

Made me wonder when we got a free kick. He painted a line where it was to be taken from but didn't paint a line 10 yards away......surely the point in all this artistry is to stop the defensive wall creeping forward?

I thought he awful but for both sides and it didnt affect the result.

1) How on earth was it only 3 mins added time?
2) How were numerous players on both sides allowed to handle the ball?
3) Why was every decision next to Wagner given to Uddersfield (even throw ins!)
4) How did he miss the foul on Sawyers (yet then give it to us when we complained - this to me was the worst decision of the lot as it showed he didnt back his own convictions)?
5) Why was Van Der Parre not booked for numerous dives?
6) He ****ed up so many times that Harlee correctly called him on it. He books ok fair enough for getting in his face but where were the bookings for anything else.

Hate to say it but the Canos decision was right it wasnt a penalty.

To be fair he didn't get a chance to ruin it as we didn't bother to challenge for roo many balls throughout 95 minutes of dross.
Egan yellow was fair and he probably should have carded Evans who whinged and complained from start to finish at every decision.

Not trying to make an excuse but do you think we would have battled more if it were a different ref? I mean, we all know what he is like and know he will card people for breathing and thus took it easier to avoid needless bookings.

And no, I'm not I'm not being serious.

There should have been more than 4 minutes added time and there should have been more time added during added time. Perhaps three or four minutes short, in total.

I'm sure he gave 5 minutes added time and in any case the final whistle was a welcome relief so why would you want the pain extended?

It was the Braemar Road linesman had more of an influence on the game...arguably a pivotal one for incorrectly awarding Wolves a goal kick when it was a clear corner that subsequently led to their first goal.

It wasn't even a difficult decision either. We deserved nothing but on such little decisions the fickle finger of fate turned against us, they scored the equaliser pretty soon after. Lino gave it but Stroud could easily have overruled the call as even Blind Pew could see it was a corner.

Stroud didn't have a bad first half but gave us little in the second half by way of decisions.

Thought Madley with one d did ok, bearing in mind he and his brother aren't generally the best. Couldn't see whether Langford got much grief from Dean S or Cloughie.

Madley was fine, he let play continue when we scored our first which seemed the right thing to go and gave them a free kick on the edge of the box which some thought was not justified, although at the time I did.

I had a good exchange with Simon Hooper at 14.50 ish as he and the linos had finished their warm up, I called his name and over he came and shook my hand, massive respect to him for doing that, he asked me if I was alright and I politely said that he'd been a total disaster v Cardiff on Boxing Day, he said that he knew that, I told him he was better than that and to not ruin my day again, I was going to throw in C5 had questioned why we didn't get a pen and why he booked Harlee but no need to as he conceded that it wasn't his finest hour, I did shout out to him at HT about his improved showing.

Is this why for the first time I can remember he didn't give a penalty against us? The Cardiff one was bad the one at Fulham in the 1-4 was worse!

The stuff with Woods was strange and Sawyers getting booked was odd.

We had an assistant linesman on Braemar road who spent the first half playing pocket billiards and forgot to stay in line or raise his false at all and then second half was like a 13 year old watching porn and couldn't keep it down!

So just how does that equate to ok.
Add to that the booking of Sawyers without even talking to their player who manhandled him. The bizarre decision to award a free kick against him on a dangerous position for a perfectly fair shoulder charge.

Since he is supposedly omnipresent surely he should be available for all matches - and could also help fill out some of the spare seats in the corners also.
