Hilarious picture on the front page about this story, I bet Rhys Murphy thinks that's really amusing. :nono:

Rhys Murphy

hope it's not the end of the lads career

Agree that it does seem a strange choice of pic.

So we've all see enough of him to make a judgement then.

Am I missing something fundamental  You are questioning the asserting that he "wasn't the best loanee we have ever had"

I am suggest that the above quote is correct and he is NOT the best loanee we have ever had. If you have a different view (i.e. he IS the best loanee we have ever had) then you are fully entitled to it (and welcome to it)

Don't be such a pair of tarts. The lad must be devastated and in a very worried flap and no doubt reading this from his recouperation chair. Last thing he would need is you two gibbering on about whether you can tell how good he is or was based on two games in a team of hoofers.

Can't help feeling the usually very level headed GPG moderators or whatever they call themselves have let themselves down with this.
The article about the injury is flippant, and trying to make a joke out of it with the picture is slightly pathetic.
Having a debate about whether he is any good or not is also out of order...he's a teenage lad who must be worried sick that his livelihood is about the vanish before his eyes.
This is someone's career we're talking about here and I don't think this kind of immature reaction will do us or the reflected image of the club any good.

I fully agree. I don't want to treat this like Diana Queen of Hearts, but this is not a time for jokes at the expense of a young lad whose career may be in jeopardy. Please, if you can, remove the article from the site and replace it with something more appropriate.

I also agree, I am a bit puzzled at the choice of picture and would prefer a more serious angle on this sad piece of news.

I accept this is a fan site and the views on here do not reflect the official position of the club, but I think there is a responsibility by the GPG to ensure that the clubs reputation is upheld.

Other then that I have no complaints and think everything else about GPG is brill :D

nurse betty says the gpg is the place to come for all bfc news so dont diss them

Rhys Murphy

you beat me to it ------ obviously not tooo serious.

and also obvious that he is rated at the arse and not a young player that they are about to give a 'free' to as can happen, eg their owusu a year or two back.

good for him!

Rhys Murphy

The injury news hasn't been on any 'official' site has it, maybe it's b***ocks?
Tribal Football reports him going back to the Arse, but they also state we have David Bentley on loan from Spurs!

Rhys Murphy

The injury news came from young gunners.com and isn't mentioned anywhere else. Sounds like a rumour.

Bentley ? great stuff. cant believe this hasnt been on the OS. typical

Rhys Murphy

On basis he isnt injured then he would need a run in the team up front alongside a target man that he could work off. Ie not a 4 5 1 formation. I don't see how he is going to get more than a cameo role in a game with CC CM and BS ahead of him in pecking order.
..................yep, and we're getting in Simon(?) Royce (GK) to keep him company.......................roll on, eh?........................

Rhys Murphy

Well better news for Rhys, his knee problem isn't as bad as first thought, but he's still going to be out for another six weeks or so. Although it's doubtful that we will see him in a Bees shirt again.

Thank god for that.:D

Rhys Murphy

Didn't really do it for me I'm afraid.

Rhys Murphy

Rhodes was on loan at a few clubs before he hit the big time with us. Kids can grow up pretty quickly, I wouldn't rule him out just yet

Remember where he came from, Arsenal , where they all including the youngsters play passing football on the ground. It must have been a big shock coming to us and having to play up front and trying to adapt to our long hoof ball style....?

Rhys Murphy

Think a pre season friendly against an Arsenal XI (mostly youth) would be a welcome addition to our build up next season. Strengthen the links, Murphy and Chesney to turn out and gives Scotty a chance for first dibs on helping blood some talent. Permanent signings are the way forward to build but I think Scotty's gamble on using one of his loans being a kid from a prem set up is a smart one.

Gooner here,

It will do him the world of good. Youngsters are too pampered with us. They need to experience the real world and face different tactics and teams. I'm glad they are mostly out on loan to championship and league 1 sides. Part of their education.

Rhys Murphy

Lets be honest if they come from Arsenal there has to be something about them and I am sure Murphy is no different.

Rhys Murphy

I wouldnt mind giving him another go. going on his youth goals to game ratio, he seems to know where the onion bag is

Rhys Murphy

I think Rhys struggled initially because of the types of games he was involved in ie Charlton , Leeds , Tranmere all tough close games where the ball wasn't openly kept on the ground for extended periods of time . Good luck to him at Arsenal.
