Sam Saunders

He's the best of a bad bunch but we must be able to do better; once his set-piece delivery goes there's not much else.

His delivery from corners and set pieces was in the main excellent yesterday and still provides our best chance of scoring.

Sam Saunders

Can be a bit of a passenger at times but if he averages either an assist or goal a game he's worth playing.

Sam Saunders

he kind of yaps around the pitch like a slightly spoilt dog. capable of doing some good things admittedly but i think he thinks he is better than he is

Sam Saunders

Note to BFC Management: please withdraw offer of new contract.

Sam Saunders

Sent over some good corners but nobody there to get on the end of them. Doesn't do much else though at present.

Sam Saunders

Pretty player.... Bright boots, footballers jog

Sam Saunders

.........of the team has no free kicks around the opposition penalty area he is toothless........not good enough............

Sam Saunders

Bottles any 50/50 and has no pace really think we can do better than him. Shame its not hockey bring him on for free kicks then back on the bench sorry Sam but ur not a winger and doubt u could play in the middle as u have no strength at all

Sam Saunders

Swap for Sam wood.

Sam Saunders

Twice whilst running towards goal,he stopped, switched onto his other foot and then did **** all. Love you Sam, but it's not working. :(

Sam Saunders

Not our worst player that's for sure. Good set pieces and a good through ball yesterday were our only real chance of scoring.

Sam Saunders

..........good set pieces??????.........what.......taking a corner??????............

Sam Saunders

he was no worse than anyone else. For the people who keep feckin banging on about his lack of pace, take a look at Alexander, he's stuck in first gear........and in case you haven't noticed Forrster ain't Usain Bolt either ?

Sam Saunders

You are right, it's not all about pace but Forrester beat his man 2/3 times yesterday and got one great cross in from a lost cause in the first half. Saunders rarely ever beats his man and gets very few crosses in from open play

Sam Saunders

What happened to encouraging the players?

I think you're missing the point. Saunders is not being asked to play as an out and out winger he's never had the pace to play that role, even Scott knew, that's why he tried 3 different right wingers, none worked though.

Saunders is a creative player who has 2 good feet and can deliver killer passes ( like the one to Donaldson ), that wasn't a cross ?
It woudn't make any difference if we had Arron lennon and Theo Wallcot on each wing and we still wouldn't score because Alexander wouldn't be able to get on the end of them. Charlie's goal for MK Dons showed us easy it was to score, the differnce was he had a peach of a pass from Bowditch who is a player with pace............who we could have signed.

He had a better game yesterday but got frustrated by a lack of movement in the team.He has his limitations but he has flair and I like the way he looks to move the ball forward and create something. Being a bit of a poser he is an easy target when things are not going so well.

Sam Saunders

Thought it was him who put a great ball through for Claytons miss if lm right it's about all he done.Would not be on my retained list

Sam Saunders

Legend in his own lunchtime, one good pass or cross a game is not enough of a contribution at L1 level. Can't remember his last decent game. Get rid.

Sam Saunders

I find Sam a very frustrating player and I dont think he is doing enough in wide positions to retain his place at the moment cause whenever he gets a chance to put a cross in he inevitably cuts in and scuffs a rubbish effort with his left foot. But his pass through to Clayton says to me that he might be worth a chance in central mid. He'd bring some much needed creativity and when he wants to he can win the ball back. All that considered id sooner see Reeves back in the team but its an option IMO.

Sam Saunders

He can't tackle and his work rate is non existent if he played in central midfield we would be bullied and played off the pitch week in week out

Sam Saunders

I imagine it's not a fun job being the full back on his wing.
Hasn't got enough for me. Can't beat his man which isn't good for a winger. The free kicks are great but you don't always get those.

.

One of the only players tracking back at Wembley to try to win the ball.........................memory is a bad thing

Sam Saunders

I think Sam plays better when he is fighting for his place in the team; he seems to come into the team play well for 5 or 6 games then his performances drop off.
I think Uwe should drop him for a couple of games and give Myles a chance.

Sam Saunders

Sam can be very good for us, but his performances have faded largely along with the rest of the team. I'm not sure if the team fading influenced him not playing well or the other way around but he can be a good player. So the notion of 'get rid' as mentioned earlier is quite frankly ridiculous. You 'get rid' when better players have come in, not before that if you don't like their current form.

I would like to see Weston given a chance though, he's not seemed bad in the glimpses we've seen of him in the past several games. A team with Forrester, Weston and Saunders could be pretty good imo, if they could all be fitted in.

Agreed I think Myles has looked good recently. A midfield of Weston, Douglas (O'Connor when fit), Saunders, Forrester could be good IMO, if a little too attack minded.

Thanks for your input Uwe

Haha if I was Uwe I think you'll find my user name would definately be "Ich bin ein Bee-liner".

..........so was his shooting that day............

Sam Saunders

He's easier to defend when he is scoring goals admittedly. I think he would do better in a side with more footballers but don't disagree he is a bit too much of a lightweight.

Sam Saunders

Was poor again last night, would rather have seen him replaced than McGinn at the time.

Sam Saunders

...........made me chuckle yesterday when their lump of a centre back did Sam for pace............not good..........

Sam Saunders

Certainly needs a break as set pieces are currently nothing to get excited about. Ability is all there but needs to know his place is in danger as perhaps a little complacent

Sam Saunders

I thought Sam had a decent game yesterday but his corners and free kicks weren't that good and I assume that is one of the reasons he gets a place. He has no pace either. I have a bit of a negative view on wide players without pace [ and that includes Mr Beckham].
