From the below link "Hunt’s signing ends a six-month chase by Wolves for his signature and the knockdown fee means the club have paid around £2m less than their final bid for him in January"

Sound familiar. I believe Hunt moved from Reading to Hull for........£3m therefore looks like Hull wont have to pay Reading a sell on fee :suspect:

It will be interesting to see Hull unveil their next signing......

Bit of a hate figure at Wolves atm despite still doing the business on the pitch this weekend. Time to come home?

I guess with him being out of contract at the end of the season may have something to do with that.... a good read...

Why did he get booed that time we played reading in a pre season friendly ?

Stephen Hunt (retired)

No thanks.he's probably on a huge wage and is 32 in August

According to a Wolves season ticket holder mate all he does is runaround like a headless chicken and lose the ball - pleased to see him go

Can you imagine Uwe's face if someone suggested bringing SH into the squad? Priceless!

Well he helped set up a goal for Doyle last week. I wasn't pleased we let him go.

Obviously have a poorer memory than me?!!

as much as I didn't rate him, he's had a good career.. he's played 39 times Republic of Ireland..

I was always how he made a living playing at the highest levels.
Not a talented footballer but he did have an engine

I'm amazed he's one of our former players who 'made it'. Jay Tabb who went with him to Reading was also not all that.
Half our current squad are better, IMO ..

People saying Hunty & Tabby were rubbish!!?!! This place is a nuthouse.

Who said Tabby was rubbish he was a good talented player, and I don't think anyone said Hunt was rubbish in my view Hunt had great ernergy and tried hard sometimes to hard and is a surprise to me that he has had a better living than Jay from the game-

Four posts above states Hunt wan't a talented footballer but had a good engine and the one following questions how he made a living out of football and that Tabb wasn't all that.

Hunty helped set up 2 goals on Saturday and then scored yesterday to help them win 3-2 away at Brum...hope the moaning Wolves fans give him a break now.

Stephen Hunt (retired)

O hara on the radio singled him out before the brum game as a reason for their upturn in form. He probably knows more than most on here

Sorry, have I missed something? What did Stephen Hunt do to upset you? I'd have him down as a Bees legend.

:imwith:

Not sure any Bees fan could ever really have anything against him after that game v The RaRa's when he made Judas squeal for mummy

Stephen Hunt (retired)

Think somewhere like MKDons or Leyton Orient is most likely for Stephen.

Stephen Hunt was NOT a Bees legend. He's no super villain either but really he can jog on.
