To be fair that is probably about the best move. About a year or so ago he was doing a great job of pulling the wool over everyones eyes and looking like a really great player and there was talk of sides like everton paying 6m or more. He has now been sussed out again and is really seen as a great trier with some ability but not the top quality premiership player, his crossing is still too inconsistent for a winger.
A team like fulham who overachieve if they stay in the top half of the prem and who are always underdogs are probably about the right fit for him, brawn over skill.

Living 2 miles from reading I can count at least 40-50 personal friends or acquantances who are reading season ticket holders, not one of them would be that sad to see him leave. He tries hard, is popular, but flatters to deceive far too often and his decision making, finishing and crossing is too erratic. Exactly the same as we said about him when he left us. They like him anmd think he gives 100% but would bite the hand off that offered millions.
if you think he is worth a place in a top 6-7 side in the prem you are clearly barking mad or just talking total b***ocks (again) yourself

Lots of average premiership players make ROi squad. My point is that he is not an everton/6M quality player. He is at best a hard working player who can just about do a job in the premiership, he is not the player he was being touted as being 2 years ago and people now see that, hence the sussed out comment.

To be honest it is exactly the sort of signing I expected. He was never going to get into a top half side and a club facing a relegation battle is about the best that was going to happen
I really can't see it being a succesful season for Hull, they were in free fall last season and this seasons signing are not exactly going to make a world of difference.

Good luck to him. WIll probably be for one season only (but that's better than none), though I think there are more bad sides in the Prem this season than for a long time - as well as the 3 promoted teams, Hull and Portsmouth look very weak, Blackburn and Bolton not much better, and it wouldn't surprise me if Stoke had a poor second season

He was injured for large part of his final season, which led to Tabb cementing a more regular place on the left. Allen had to decide whether Hunt was worth a new contract on more money or let his contract expire and leave for nothing. Would Tabb & Hunt played in the same side regularly under Allen, probably not, therefore Allen imho chose Tabb over Hunt, some of which would have been because Tabb was cheaper too,

In the premiership for one season. If you had bothered to read my post properly in regard to hunt then you would have noticed that I said the top half of the premiership is beyond him and a lower half struggling team is the best he could hope for. Last year teams like everton were after him, now his best chance is with someone like hull.
i think you will find I have been proved right
i know loads of reading fans and everyone is biting hull citys hand of right now. Hunt gives 100% but is not considered someone they are that fussed about losing.

Although Everton did try and sign him for £5m the January before last, but Reading turned them down at that time and Hunt signed a new contract with them, when they were in the top half of the premier league, does that count?

All I have said is that he is not good enough for a top half side and I have been called a mug, a jealous lousy footballer, berkshires finest etc etc. I assume that perhaps Mark does does think he is good enough for the top half or else where the heck is he coming from?, I don't know.

You see, that was exactly the point I made a few weeks ago. A year and half ago he was being touted around top sides but since then I said hunt had (and I think this is what rattled marks cage) been found out to not be a top 6-7 team player afterall. Cue the abuse.

there not the best team in the prem but hey they gave it a go and survived so on that evidence yes they are good enough and i can see them staying up again this year brum straight back donw hopefully so we can go there next year, wolves will come down then another suprise like newcastle last season

Someone else posted earlier but he's not as popular as he was when Reading were in the prem. Coppell benched him and many Royals think he's lost interest, been trying to engineer a move and become "Charlie Big Potato". His value has dropped and maybe Rogers has realised he should take whatever is offered quickly as more likely to keep dropping.
