The challenges by Essien on Hamann (and someone else) last season, were both far worse than those in my opinion, and were intentional...........didn't see him piping off about that though?

I think he did mention the Essien challenges in his interview on Saturday: along the lines that people made a lot of fuss about Essien but his challenge was not in the same league as Hunt's. Most of us would agree that Essien's challenge was in a different league - but because it was much worse and totally deliberate!

I found it amusing the way he wound up the press and opposition managers when he came over here, but on a serious level he shouldn't just accuse everyone of doing wrong apart from his club. I appreciate the fact it's a pretty sensetive situation, but very few people outside of the club have said hunt or sonko's challenges were intentional, he seems to have realised this and now seems to be doing what everyone else does: blame the NHS

Anyway articles with comments like http://www.chelseafc.com/article.asp?hlid=422300&m=10&y=2006&nav=news&sub=latest+news are one of the reasons chelsea have such a bad press

er, didn't Khalid Boulahrouz get sent off in Germany this past summer for almost ending Ronaldo's World Cup?

Anyone who says jose was kind to reading doesn't know what there talking about. I've always wanted Chelsea to do well, especially in Europe, (partly because I used to support them from the armchair before I turned the corner and supported a proper team) when you comments that are as arrogant as the ones in that article, you wonder why they seem so obssessed with getting negative publicity

Don't hold your breath waiting for an apology from Mourinho or Chelski, Hunty!

I don't think he is, he's more relieved "the speical one" started gobbing off about the medical facilities at Reading. ;)

Stephen Hunt (retired)

Fortunately, since they keep specific records, the medical teams can quantify exactly the extent of this ****s lying. Wish you could charge someone with bringing decent society into disrepute. His comments have been just barely on the safe side of libel. Horrible cretin. :mad2:

I see moany Mourinho won 2-0 but couldn't help having a dig because they were playing Saturday. Does he ever stop?

From the Reading v Arsenal live BBC text commentary:

1634: Reading's Stephen Hunt chases a ball which Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann collects. The Arsenal keeper seems less than impressed with the Royals player and wags his finger at Hunt, who was involved in the incident that saw Petr Cech seriously injured last week.

Complete over reaction by Lehmann and the ref was simply wrong to speak to Hunt about it. But the best bit was the reaction of the Reading crowd who burst into song - FUKC OFF MOURINHO! and Stand Up if you hate Chelsea! :D

You do realise why Mourinho made a big deal about this to place the media's attention on this and what an idiot he is... to take the pressure and attention of his players for the upcoming game against Barcelona... which consequently got about half a page in the Metro, and they went on to win

Can't believe nobody knows this... and he's done it before

Stephen Hunt (retired)

Who cares why he did it? It's what he did that makes him a **** and you should know, Ronan, that the ends don't justify the means.

If Chelsea win the Champions League methinks he, Roman and the Chelsea faithful might disagree with you.

I think Hunty was at fault with the Cech incident. I think it could have been avoided, but I don't think he intentionally went in to fracture the blokes the skull.

Had to laugh at Lehman with his reaction, what a complete and utter knob.

Stephen Hunt (retired)

Lehman has issues...

Stephen Hunt (retired)

If he didn't intend to injure Cech, as you say, then what is he "at fault" for? Playing a contact sport? Glad Hunt showed yesterday that he'd continue to play a high-tempo game, even against the apparently untouchable big-boys.

He also has a big bald patch under that curly afro he has.

Hunt needs to sort his hair out as well. Maybe that's why he collided with Cech - He couldn't see where he was running.

:( and what is wrong with long floppy hair? :(

Oh man cant believe this....there are some ****ers out there that need to get a life!:nono:

Its only a game after all

Didn't Chelsea fans issue death threats against a referee a while back. They really are a repellent football club, aren't they?

Was either Urs Meier or Anders Frisk. They did following the Drogba's red vs Barcelona. The ref retired

In both cases, Jose M's comments have surely contributed to it; not suggesting he wants fans issuing death threats, but he raises the temperature of the discussion every time. As Hunt is starting to show his Middle Earth features more and more, could Jose be accused of inciting racial hatred?

It was Frisk.

Urs Meier was the referee who disallowed Sol Campbell's goal for England v Portugal in Euro 2004.
The Sun subsequently whipped the nation into a frenzy, giving his telephone number etc.
I think he retired too.

i went to Prague a few weeks back, obviously this story had a slightly different slant there as Cech is their best player (along with Rosicky), so the communists were a little worried about him being out for so long

i relayed to my mate and his dad how i knew all about the player who'd injured their hero! they weren't impressed  the dad, in his broken english, said "what he did... very bad... he could not have done it" - i think we ended up agreeing that Hunty could have avoided it if he wanted to. i thought at first he might have slipped but he was clearly leaving a leg dangling to let Cech know he was there, and unfortunately it resulted in serious injury.

i say "unfortunately", but he lived, and it's chelsea, so it's actually really funny

Stephen Hunt (retired)

Don't see how you can say the injury was funny.

They aren't Chelsea fans and they aren't football fans, let's get real.
Also Downes is right when he says 'anyone who'd meet Ibu in a dark alleyway is pretty brave'.

Hunty was highlighted on MOTD last night. Put in a peach of a cross at one stage and had another effort well saved.

Never thought he had enough quality to succeed at the top level but fair play to him. He seems to be holding down a starting spot for Reading at the moment and I wish him further success.

Typical penalty incident though... should have gone down at the initial contact rather than wait a bit longer. ;)

Hunty was Brilliant wern't he! :sorted: Fair Play
