It's more to do with who its from that was the shock. Mild praise from Warnock is as rare as white dog's poo.

Stuart Attwell

ESPECIALLY when his team lost!!

lol internet petitions, ALWAYS the most effective form of protest lol

44 signatures lol

this just in: FA sack referee because of internet petition! maybe not...

still, he's getting quite a collection eh - is this his first season, and already three clubs' fans know to avoid the c*nt like the plague :nono:

Stuart Attwell

Still have yet to receive a reply from the FA to my letter of complaint about Master Attwell's 'performance'

I can't, he's a ugly beanpole that moved to Eastern Europe in the hope that local ladies lower their standards. I also think that he hoped that the strong £ would buy him a girlfriend but how could he predict the future. He's a nice chap that goes on about other people's individual goals whereas his own one is to simply get laid. I want to leave it but I can't.

Ah but if he makes the same mistake as you and refers to Czech as Eastern Europe, then he wont get laid by the local ladies. They really don't like being called Eastern Europeans. Not surprisingly as Czech is very much Central Europe.:nono:

Stuart Attwell

Vienna is more East (tho not easter  ), as i've been told a couple of times!!

Damn you NB, made me laugh tho

I think I read that the lino at Anfield last weekend for the "studs" incident has been sen to league 2 this week to work with ......Stuart Atwell (Grimsby Vs Exeter)

Indeed. I'm sure Exeter and Grimsby will be thrilled  As an aside though, I didn't think that Bosingwa's challenge was actually that bad - t'was a push rather than a kick after all and the Liverpool player clearly wasn't hurt. What made the whole episode so ridiculous was the linesman immediately waving for a foul TO Liverpool the second Bosingwa made contact lol

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but there appears to be a new directive from the FA this season, that they clearly haven't told anyone else about, that when an attacking player takes the ball into the corner to try and run the clock down, a foul is immediately given against the attacking player, regardless of whether he's fouled anyone or not.

Perhaps taking the ball into the corner now is seen as ungentlemanly conduct or it's an attempt to prevent the frustration of the defending player resulting in him taking a swipe at the bloke in the corner ?

Sent Mike Newell to the stands yesterday. As much as don't like Newell I would loved to see him in a one-on-one with that little s**t after the game.

Went to watch England u19's v Spain u19's last night. The ref was on the whole having a good game. Until about the 75th minute when an England player gets a straight red to the bemusement of the crowd. Guess who the ref was?

 but no, he's not being fast-tracked is he!!
you can see highlights here - http://www.thefa.com/fatv/microsite...7-9911-4761-adff-96713468a380&delivery=stream
bit of a silly challenge, but not red card worthy
classy stuff by the FA website - AFC Bournmouth (misspelt on the highlights package), and the description of the first goal:
quickly closed down by Jose Luis San Martin. Under pressure, Smithies missed his kick and the ball rolled past him and back off the foot of the post. San Martin reacted quickly and laid the ball off nicely for Iago Falqué to slot home into an empty net and give the visitors a perfect start.
this is clearly poppycock and/or balderdash, if you watch the highlights lol

Stuart Attwell

Thanks for the highlights link.

I was in the opposite corner to where it happened so it was difficult to really judge. I was going on the reaction of the fans nearby. Looking at the highlights it is astounding this was a straight red.

The GK error was classic. Not very composed to try and recover by passing it to the forward.lol

Stuart Attwell

it demonstrates again his complete lack of footballing brain... why send someone off when they're 3-0 down already?? just - what's the point? refereeing should be easy at that point, because the game has been won... but no, Mr Drama has to do it again

the only reason you'd send someone off is if he tried to "do" someone. and Attwell is showing here that he doesn't understand the difference between a nasty tackle and an attempted block

i don't understand why players go into challenges like that though - there's gotta be a better of challenging for the ball...

Stuart Attwell

Every time there's an article on dodgy refereeing there always seems to be a reference to Attwell's 'phantom' goal.

Funny that :)

Needed an escort off the pitch last night in the Gillingham versus Aldershot game !
Gills fans are absolutely fuming with him

Stuart Attwell

they should have left him on the pitch to face the music when will the fa listen????

Stuart Attwell

"Well I think he had a blinder. Refereed most of the game with imagination - problem was he must have had his eyes closed most of the time and imagination was all that he used. Its all well and good fast-tracking children into a man's game but they really should get a more extended apprenticeship in the amateur arena before being allowed to get involved where money and careers are at risk. Still, lets look on the bright side, a proper referee could well have sent Nicky S. off last night for a couple of bad tackles and a lunge which fortunately missed but could well have been booked for intent."

A Gillingham fan.

Stuart Attwell

Stimson not happy, either! Here are some of his comments on their club site:

"In the first half, Dennis Oli, from where we are standing, had a blatant penalty. If he goes over, it’s a stone-wall penalty. He didn’t, he stayed up and the ref didn’t think it was a penalty. Then later with Barry Fuller – I was so pleased that he got up from that tackle. The referee didn’t see that one either. To be fair, this referee has missed quite a lot in his career so far so it’s not surprising!"

I particularly like the last bit!:D

Stuart Attwell is on telly at the moment refereeing the QPR v Ipswich Town match.

Excellent news the more the Ipswich strikers score the less chance of them wanting to recall Rhodes.

Stuart Attwell

The commentators we're virtually giving tw*twell verbal BJ's about his performance:nono:Any3-1 so Rhodes is here until end of the season;)

According t oIan Wright on radio 5 live tonight, this football year is going to be known as the "stuart Attwell"year due the amount of cock ups by ref's

You lost me with the first 4 words

Was it mental Andy Hall from Rochdale who gave that pen against Swindon last night? I caught a glimpse and sort of thought I'd seen that plum before.
