Northumberland Park for me as meeting someone coming from Cambridge - not sure about the return journey though.

I went with my Dad. I was in the last year of junior school and got very angry with the teacher when she announced some homework at the end of the day due the next morning. I said I couldn’t possibly get it done as I had a very important football match to attend for which I needed to leave straight after school and wouldn’t be home until gone midnight.

I vividly remember that the homework assignment was to come up with somethng, a drawing or whatever, that represented at least one thousand of something. I walked up to her desk the following morning and handed in a scribbled picture entitled “5,000 Brentford Fans”

My journey there was quite eventful as I was nearly arrested by plain clothes coppers, who were looking to nab a youth for a spate of burglaries in my local area. When they showed me the photo fit I was almost inclined to agree it was me given my resemblance to the photo!

They thought you were a youth?

Bloke at work has suggested Theobalds Grove to WHL - 12 minute journey, decent car park at Theobalds - I'm aware WHL could be busy after so maybe walk down to Bruce Grove (about 15 minutes) - any commuters from the North of London got any thoughts?

looks like the coach details for Spurs has just changed ;)

In a very fortunate position here as my son lives in Edmonton and it’s a 20 minute walk to the stadium. Will drive up from Hampshire in the afternoon, parking permit sorted and stay the night. D-in-law has access to tickets through a collective and my son(Liverpool) has ‘bagged’ one from a mate who is newly anchored by dirty nappies and night feeds!
Sorted ?

I've been to Spurs three times since the Bees last played there...always night games. Once at the new ground.

Walked back to Tottenham Hale last time, it was a bit of a walk but absolutely fine.
This was for a sold out PL game in January 2020. Next time I will do a vlog of the experience to settle any future disputes over route optimisation.

On another occasion I recall walking to Seven Sisters and that also being fine i.e. no queues by the time I arrived.

A friend described the stadium as "like someone landed a spaceship in the sh*ttest part of town". You can be the judge of that of course.

If travelling back into London wouldn't it work better to head up the line to Silver St station to get a seat and miss the queues at WHL?

I would say that was a pretty accurate description

There are direct trains that are non stop Cheshunt to Northumberland Park. Just checked Trainline. Intend parking in Station Car Park for a fiver and then training it.

Ended up taking the route of:

Osterley > Hammersmith
Hammersmith > Liverpool Street
Liverpool Street > White Hart Lane

Wasn’t necessarily the quickest possible route door-to-door but it broke up the journey nicely.

Moorgate to Alexandra Park then free shuttle bus direct to stadium - with decent pub at Alexandra Park. Very smooth on the the way there but 30 minute plus delay on the way back due to one set of traffic lights! ?

After the game walked to Northumberland Park, queued for 10 mins then
around that long ramp, train came in, I ran to get on, it then just pulled out
a quarter full. Crazy. Home by 11
