I think Anna is :love2:

I may retract my comment about Nicole Vaidisova v Anna Chakvetadze being the last women's match worth watching if Anges Szavay :love2: plays a quarter final against the winner of that match

Yeah Agnes is really hot !! NOT !!! See evidence below.

At least Dementieva is still in it I guess.

Wimbledon 2008

Nah I'm in love with Caroline Wozniacki. Pretty blonde, nice hair, decent face, good figure.

Wimbledon 2008

That jammy sod has saved about 4 set points :banghead: WHAT a game this one is.. Thankfully my boy took the set.
Gasquet looks a completely different class than the other guys Murray has played, so much more power. Think this is curtains for him to be fair.

Wimbledon 2008

Well least we all now know that Murray will never win Wimbledon. This guy is in a different league and he is only a top ten in the world player. :bound: I feel better now and can possibly even come to terms with my Murray loathing, its therapy if you will :computer:

Wimbledon 2008

A match worth staying with I think. Unbelieveable make to win the 3rd set.

Wimbledon 2008

Whatever you say about Murray, the guy has massive balls!....He was totally outplayed in the first 90% of that set but hung on in there and got his reward....Well done sir.

Wimbledon 2008

he is a break up 4th set Centre court is buzzing!!!

Wimbledon 2008

Not the biggest fan of the guy, but still good to see a british player fighting back with gusto.

Wimbledon 2008

Gasquet has gone to pieces. The crowd seem to be willing Murray to victory which is odd as reading the GPG you would think everyone hated him.

Apparantly not !

Wimbledon 2008

Like him of loath him, its great entertainment tonight. :sorted:

Wimbledon 2008

Murray wins!!! Who would of thought it, his fitness coach has defiantly worked a treat. Great win.

Wimbledon 2008

Truly gutted. :banghead: Not sure why, I actually feel quite ill about it! Not just the cash but the fact he is such a bellend.

AND WTF was that celebration all about. cock.

Booooo.....!:nono:

You bad loser Mr Coat Less....it was a well deserved and IMHO, quite reserved celebration considering he came back from the brink

Infract yourself mr coat:(

McEnroe had a go at his physique, it's a running joke.

A partisan crowd in any sport can inspire and that's what gave Murray the edge. Gasquet must be related to Jean Van De Velde though.

Betfair was crazy - £28k matched on Gasquet at 1.01 and £800k+ at 1.02

Wimbledon 2008

McEnroe had a go at his physique, it's a running joke.

Slightly better

Well, I think Nadal will smash him silly and we can all get back in our boxes for another year :)

Wimbledon 2008

Well I don't have strong feelings about Murray, but having turned on as Gasquet served at 5-4 in the third set, I have to say that it was an incredible effort by Murray and he played some unbelievable tennis. Not sure he wouldn't have been blown away by a Nadal or a Federer, but he's got some heart to come back from that position.

Wimbledon 2008

I have never been a massive fan of Andy Murray myself, but you've got to give him a massive amount of credit for coming back from 2 sets down to win that match. Even his biggest critic can't deny that. Well done to him.:sorted:

The bloke is a cock. Can't stand him, I was looking forward to seeing the tw*thead go out in straight sets.

Can't believe the 'local' support for a bloke that is so anti English.

The sooner the wall goes back up the better, with Murray in the foundations.:sorted:

Wimbledon 2008

I listened to the third set on the way home on 5 Live. (Pat Cash :nono: ). Each game Gasquet got through it to love or 15, for Murray to come out and hold serve, time & again saving 2 break points. The way he fought for that third set was immense... like a boxer on the ring, just hoping for a jab to make his opponent think twice.

Great PR for team Murray and an important win in his career without doubt. Lets see if he can get to 5 sets with Nadal.

Yeah agree totally, why were all those English attendees at Centre Court cheering him on??? :nono:

Do they think Murray will be cheering Martin Johnson's England against say France in next year's Six Nations or Capello's against Croatia?....will he fukk, he's already down on record as being in the 'anyone but English' camp.

I loathe this sweaty with so much venom so come on Mr Nadal go for it, Torres has already shown you the way!

JB.....

Wimbledon 2008

He played very well - excellent in fact and showed real bottle. As for his personality, ffs he's just a kid, he's bound to say something stupid sometimes - after all JBN's still doing it and he's three times his age. ;)

Anyway, why on Earth would I support a Frenchman over a Scotsman?

Wimbledon 2008

I would even support Mugabe over that sweaty any day!

JB...:sorted:

Not really a big fan of tennis, used to watch it a lot during the Connors/McEnroe/Borg era and when I fell in love with Boris Becker(must be a German thing I have going:love2:) so havent really watched it for years but had a bit of ironing to do and saw this thread from earlier saying he was being whooped, so switched it on to see him lose and watched some of the most entertaining tennis I have ever seen :sorted:

Wimbledon 2008

The shot to win the third set was awesome. I'd thought the Frenchie had won the point with his shot. It's up there with Hbarty's shot against Federer in the 1st round.

If you're referring to his "anyone but England" comment then you need to get some perspective.

Especially as it was said in jest when he was about 17.

TBH it's easy to dislike Andy Murray, he has an arrogant streak, his voice is monatone and his public persona is that of a particularly unintersting dour Scotsman.

But I wonder how many people take into account him being thrust into the public eye aged 17-18, being faced with the British press pack, which is unlike any in the world, and the pressure that comes from being our best player in a sport which draws the national attention almost completely for two weeks.

He has said some stupid things, acted petulantly and failed to excite but he's a kid, he's only 21 now FFS.

And he is unbelievably talented.

Personally I will revel in his talent and hope to watch him become the best. He may well fall short, plenty hope he will fall short, but those praying for his demise are going to have a few dark days in the next five years IMHO.

Wimbledon 2008

Great entertainment. Talented bloke who will grow out of his Kevin the Teenager phase. It's his Mother I can't stand. AAaaarrrrggghhhh. :yuck:

I think I mentioned on here that a Jock friend of mine has a wife who is fairly high within the management of a certain Glasgow hospital. She worked with a certain Mrs Murray and he tells me that they were pleased when she finally left after years of arrogant talk of success and her sons. Now maybe jealousy kicks in but they were described as a very insular and unhappy bunch who looked down on peeps, I must say that Jamie comes across as a lad with personality and seems pretty content with his work in interviews.

Wimbledon 2008

Murray has Nadal next.

Should be a great match, if Murray can serve up some more aces

Wimbledon 2008

I always support the teams or players that play against any home nation except england, its normal isnt it? I want all scottish, welsh and N Irish teams and tennis players to always lose.
