Anyway, believe what you believe, at the end of the day i am a fan and I want whats best for the club. I dont agree with Andy having until christmas, in fact I think we need 4 points from the two home games, if not, then we're in trouble.

Paul Buckle has got to be in the running doing well at Torquay at the moment and is an ex Bee :sorted:. If not Chris Wilder from Oxford.

then we could go for

Ray Lewington who I cant see being on much more than 125K at Fulham, could work with Bully, and who would attempt to play a passing game with lots of width.

Alan Pardew, who does not need the money as much as he needs to rebuild his reputation. He was a whisker from success after being in a very similar position to where we are now at the same time last season when he was Southampton Manager (in fact it may have been worse).

Steve Coppell, maybe as Director of football or as Manager working his magic with a very good squad that are clearly under performing for the current incumbent.

Looks like just Paul Buckle in the running as Chris Wilder has only just signed a three year deal at Oxford.

Sorry, but Torquay have gone into reverse. Not convinced Wilder would be the man or would leave Oxford, they are actually a bigger club than us.
If Coppell really does live in Ealing, you never know, but I can't believe he'd manage us again.

So, Deano it is, we just have to pay his relocation expenses.

Agreed Wilder is at a bigger club,and Coppell lives in Sunningdale 30 mnute drive to GP.I will gladly give him a lift to the club tommorrow morning.

im not saying ive ever been happy with AS, at the time i thought he should of been shown the door along with TB, but to be fair he done well, but maybe he has gone as far as he can:(

If we have to change manager if andy cant turn it around surely we can do better than these,none have any experience of management at this level.

dont think any chance with wilder and coppell has retired from football.
Would prefer to get somebody with decent track record at this level,but i think ray lew would be a decent choice

Dont say that Mr Pipe. It's the humourous comments of people like ROB and NB that make light of a serious concern we all have about our club.
I'm sure they are both as concerned as anyone else on here about the state of the clubs form. I for one enjoy there posts. I am a 70 yr old oap and need all the laughs i can get. :D

I mentioned his name several days ago, so I hold my hands up to that. I do watch the non league tables a lot cos my local team Dover are doing quite well.

we got 4 league games before the brum game 3 of them at home and all difficult games, with the results were getting i can see him being kept on untill the cup game out of respect win or lose for current efforts and past rewards and then it will be :wave: sadly if at least 8 points are not collected from 12!

Just read the Scotts post match comments and he might just as well have sent in a tape from previous games as its the same tired comments. They may be true but I am sure the players will be delighted to know they have to work harder this week as, semingly they were knackered last night.

With the number of injuries to our forward line I bet he is cursing his decision not to sign the lad from Windsor and Eton, certainly the little I saw he was no worse than anything else we have available and who knows could have responded to this crisis.

With the injuries now scattered throughout the team on the face of it Scotts options will be limited but perhaps he now has the chance to make some radical changes and get away from hoof ball as quite frankly there is nobody to win the ball in the air. he can play weston up top or Hudson but he no longer has a bully like Alexander so may have to resort to passing football. Perhaps give specific instructions to whoever is on goal that kicking from hand is forbidden and instead we have to play the ball from back to front, by some fluke he could find a succesful formula!!!.

Doubt we will see any real changes and if we lose it will be the same old excuses plus the fact we have a substantial number of injuries.

Unfortunately for Scott a Managers longevity is dependant upon results and if we look at the end of last season and the begining of this they are horrendous. I cant recall what the figures were but dread to think what would have happened if they were all in one season, I am sure if they were then even his biggest supporters would be calling for change.

For those who expound loyalty I have a considerable amount, however my loyalty is to the club not the players or manager as they will come and go whilst Brentford FC remains. That being the case I now beleive that for the sake of the club if Andy cannot win the next couple of home games then he needs to go.

The man's deluded. Same old tripe " we didn't do enough with the ball".....WTF does that mean ?
He's completely lost the plot and surely his "disciples" can see that ?

The word is that Coppell had a long term relationship breakdown in the summer and he was lower than me watching us at Orient.
His mental state is always a worry but he did say that the year in charge of us was his most fun in manangement, that was before he had his spell in the Prem with Reading after winning the Championship by 176 points.

Having read AS's post match comments I am left unconvinced that he will be able to turn things around.Trotting out the same old excuses is predictable but does not instill confidence.
This is HIS team selected by him , managed by him & clearly the dynamic of the two is failing.You only need to look at the goals scored to know we have major problems in the creation & scoring of goals but I believe that is only part of the problem.I really think there is an underlying issue that maybe connected to either his management style or inabilty to motivate this group of players.
Whatever the reason he needs to find a winning formula in the next couple of games or I beleve he should go.It's regrettable given his past contribution but I believe it is inevitable.

Not disagreeing with your overall point but I think we only lost once in our last 13 games last season (3-2 away at Swindon who were flying). Drew a fair few but it still took us UP the tabe to ninth.
