Corners
This is probably the best Brentford team I have ever seen. However we are a bit rubbish at attacking corners. I am sure we have probably scored directly from 1 or 2 this season, not that I can remember any off the top of my head (Notts County doesn't count BTW - was a good few touches before it went in). Under Scott and Allen I always got a bit excited when we got a corner because the majority of the time we would make a chance out of it. Recently I feel like we are never going to score from a corner. I was thinking about it on Saturday and I think the type of player we now have doesn't make us as much as an aerial threat as we once were, and don't get me wrong I much prefer it this way. However I think we could be a bit more creative with corners. I would like to see us go short more often or even have someone 30 or 40 yards out from goal who we can play it out to and put together another attack. I think we are 10x more dangerous with the ball at our feet. Maybe a change like we did for throw ins in the final third. Just wondering if others felt the same way? Or maybe someone can tell me we've actually scored from 10 corners this season and I'm being stupid. We do get an awful lot of corners though. I suppose it's a nice problem to have given we have just finished a mammoth unbeaten run!
Surely not?!
