And better than Pope too.I actually think that David is a better keeper than Prickford. Our keeper is better than the England keeper, how mad is that.
Actually proving a bit of a liability lately. And better than Pope too.
?Actually proving a bit of a liability lately.
Hope he stays, obviously, but wouldn’t be surprised if Newcastle were also interested in David. I’m sure Howe would prefer his first choice keeper to have functioning feet. And better than Pope too.
He is only 20 months older than Matthew Cox! The fact that he has played 26 games for Southhampton may be one of the reasons why they are a favourite for relegation. The Southampton keeper Bazunu is one we should be looking at. If / when they go down, which I think is inevitable. A real prospect.
He’s not the reason they are favourites for relegation. He’s very highly regarded by their coaching staff. Just a thought that he might be a good acquisition ?He is only 20 months older than Matthew Cox! Matthew Cox is highly regarded at Brentford but I would worry if he was our regular keeper. He’s not the reason they are favourites for relegation. He’s very highly regarded by their coaching staff. Just a thought that he might be a good acquisition ?
A bit like Ben Mee at Burnley when they went down?He is only 20 months older than Matthew Cox! The fact that he has played 26 games for Southhampton may be one of the reasons why they are a favourite for relegation.
Ben was a major factor that they survived that long!A bit like Ben Mee at Burnley when they went down?
He may be highly regarded by the coaching staff but he's definitely not highly regarded by their supporters. He’s not the reason they are favourites for relegation. He’s very highly regarded by their coaching staff. Just a thought that he might be a good acquisition ?
A 21 year old keeper with >100 league appearances and in his first PL season is a decent prospect. Is he really the reason they’re bottom? I doubt it. Haven’t seen enough of him but worth consideration. Ramsdale at 22 had kept goal for two PL relegation campaigns for two teams but has done pretty decently for Arsenal since! Also, being Irish, no work permit issues. I think they’ll make a decent profit on his £12.5m fee if they sell.He may be highly regarded by the coaching staff but he's definitely not highly regarded by their supporters.
I know he was at Portsmouth last season, they rated him but said he was incredibly raw and capable of howlers at times.A 21 year old keeper with >100 league appearances and in his first PL season is a decent prospect. Unless he's got rocks in his head that nice new contract will have a relegation release clause in it, so yes it must still be feasible that he'll move.Tottenham want to sign England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford this summer, even though the 29-year-old has just signed a new long-term contract at Everton. (Sun)
Good, one less destination for David![]()
So who would you listen to ?He may be highly regarded by the coaching staff but he's definitely not highly regarded by their supporters.

Shame about the header going wide, goalkeepers even getting half a chance to score is as rare as hen's teeth.... would have been one to tell the grandkids about.
Amazed the header seemed to go straight to him, keepers surely come up to try and pounce on a loose ball and for nuisance value as an extra body in the box rather than to be the target of the corner?! Ah well. He was unmarked at least!
I fully agree.Ben was a major factor that they survived that long!
Everton are doing the same as we would, protecting their future earnings by getting him to sign a new contract. They showed faith in him and developed into the National keeper and know he is capable of better than a relegation fighting side so no doubt negotiated an agreement that gives him more money now but guarantees them a lot more money when he leaves in the next window.Unless he's got rocks in his head that nice new contract will have a relegation release clause in it, so yes it must still be feasible that he'll move.

I often use twitter and forgot my login - forums arent really my thingMendy isn't getting to play any time soon, however my guess is we wouldn't pay his wages and rightly so. Out of interest how does it feel making your first post after 2 years? Interesting first post![]()
Sanchez isn’t even getting picked by BrightonRaya has shirt number 23 tonight against Norway, while Robert Sánchez has 13 and Kepa starts. Suggests that he's 3rd in line tonight, and that's with Unai Simón injured.
Or maybe number 23 is an act of solidarity with Toney.

How on earth do you pick Kepa before David Raya?!
Commentator predicted to the keepers right. It went to the keepers left.commentator predicted where to go to save it. surely we know this too
Looks like he played a blinder. This fella is going to take some replacing, isn’t he? They reckon they have the best two keepers in the world at City and Liverpool, but I’d say Raya is better, and a more complete keeper.
Shame he can’t save a pen. ??
Think one v Swansea play off semi .Looks like he played a blinder.
Interested to know if he has ever saved a penalty for us?
Richard the cat Lee would have.......no keeper is saving that peno .
Which commentator?commentator predicted where to go to save it. surely we know this too
Not really relevant, how often do we conceded penatlies? If only he could save pens. I'm more confident of him scoring one than saving one! Has Ivan just destroyed him in training?
