Was a shame conceding that last minute goal. Although was a very good strike from quite far out.

Once Brentford got the 2-1 lead they sat on it probably a bit too much. They didn't really play forward much and were caught right at the end. Brentford probably deserved to win but the standard of football on display was pretty good. No hoofing by either side both, were trying to play and Brentford probably did edge Ipswich out.

Some good performances all around though, Dallas looked good and Redwood was good going forward. Richard Lee was in constant communication to the team, which unfortunately Gounet wasn't to the same level in the second half.

The team were playing in the same style as the first team which was very positive to see (and no I don't mean conceding at the end), but very good signs from the Development Squad.

Firstly let me say I applaud Matthew Benham for funding an academy, I suspect he feels it may be a way of paying himself back for the hugh amount of cash he has and is putting into the club. But my fear is that should we uncover a real gem he'll be off to a bigger club quicker than you can say " agent". We cannot compete wages wise with the majority of Championship clubs and probably quite a few in League One.
I doubt we'll see many Academy players breaking into the team this season unless we get a few injuries, so it will be interesting to see if anyone makes it into the first team squad next season ?
There are a few first team contracts running out at the end of this season so maybe some of them will be replaced by our own players, and if this is the case the Academy set up will have proved a success.

Not to worry about competing with Championship clubs, by the time these players mature into league standard we will be in the championship, and playing in a new ground. Brentford will not be the joke that some fools used to think they were.

I don't think that table is far out. It seems that went back to the top when we beat Swansea, and that left Charlton with a game in hand, which they lost.
That would mean that we have played 11 games, leaving 9 still to play. As we are in January that looks right to me.
I have been googling like mad trying to find a table.

Only saw the 1st half as had to dash back to work. Gounet made some decent long range saves, could of caught a few though. Mawson and Pierre won everything in the air, Pierre is very vocal. Future captain? Dallas is quick and direct, final ball wasn't great though. Saw him talking to Rosler throughout the half, with Rolser giving him a few claps and encouragment. Could be inline for call up soon? Reeves was so steady on the ball, good to see him back so soon after Sunday. Porokara rarely took on his defender in the first half buy was tidy on the ball and has a lovely touch for someone 6ft+. The goal was good, silky finish from Adams.
Like I say I only saw the 1st half, but not much to shout about the rest.

Dallas very impressive.
Very nice finish by Adams, looks a good player.
Also good to see Reeves playing after Sunday.
Comfortable at 2-0, Gounet was rarely troubled.

The back line is very strong, Mawsom and Pierre are very strong in the middle and Redwood and Griffiths are very good at full back and like to attack.

We played some very good football. I believe we over took Bristol city in the league and now 2nd behind a very good Charlton side who still have to come to JR/GP.
