Do We Need Another Forward??
Or a loan to the end of the season to "try before we buy" as has been done in the past.
That way if Scott H comes back before the end of the season (something I doubt) then we will be well placed for the push to the promised land at the sharp end of the season. :bound:

How about Tom Lawrence from Leicester? I understand that they are looking for him to go out and get experience on loan.
From reports I understand Ipswich, Blackburn and Cardiff all vying for the Wales Under 21 international's signature. Worth a look or a gamble considering his tender age?
I remember him playing in that one game for Ryan Giggs at Manchester United v's Hull and remember him looking decent.

I can't see us getting anyone else in at the moment, they would just be warming the bench, unless anything happens to Gray then I think we would
address the issue, have to wait and see what happens with Grigg in December, think we may have to move people out to allow for new recruits

You have an almost incredible ability to state the bleedin obvious ad nauseam. If as you have intimated earlier there is a danger of you exploding should Andre get injured please would you ensure that you are not sitting anywhere near the middle section of New Road as I do not much fancy being showered with the resulting crap.

Be very surprised if that happens we have 6 games between the loan window closing and and the transfer window opening, and should Gray get injured or suspended we would only have Proschwitz to replace him, so can't see us taking a risk as we would be ****ed for six games, if Gray twists an ankle in training the day before Wolves. Furthermore Gray looked knackered towards the end of the Milwall game, he can't be expected to take the whole burden on himself without support.

It can only benefit if it the right player, simply getting a body in who is "a forward" won't be any good unless he is considered the "right forward". We will always be looking to strenghthen but is has to b e quality over quantity and I doubt there is much quality available. Should your scenario pan out as happening, then we have to accept that NP, Betinho and maybe someone like Dallas has to fill in before January window opens. Not ideal, but surely better than a Murray Jones or Callum Willock signing.

And we have done very well indeed, my worry is, I hate to think what subject you are going to punish us with when thread closes, (will it be Goalkeepers or the Burgers/Onions) although in a warped sort of way I can't wait for your next chapter!!!!!

Agree we have done very well and I couldnt be happier, but if Gray got injured we would be in trouble as even the most RT fan could see NP and Betinho are not the answer. Enjoy the game on Friday night and fingers crossed Andre doesn't get injured. lol.

Could see Dallas getting a chance up front if something happened to Gray. It would be too early in Moore's career to take that pressure

When people talk about forwards, I always read 'Dallas', 'Smith', 'Moore' all mentioned. They are not strikers.
We have 4 strikers: Gray, Hogan (injured), Nick P, Betinho.

you're right. people go on about Dallas as the stand in main striker, no way. I like him a lot but he's a wide player and I just don't understand how anyone can come to the conclusion that he can play a lone striker role like Andre, he's never played there ( for us anyway). I agree we have the 4 strikers which are the ones you listed...............

I think people talked about people like Dallas upfront because they have no confidence in Nick P. Also no one has seen enough of Betinho to classify him as an option either and Hogan is long term injured so it is clutching at straws to classify the wide players as strikers.

He may turn out to be "like a new signing" later in the season though, but I'm still flummoxed how he can adapt to the British game without playing first team football.

And doesn't the fact he's a young foreigner with little experience of senior football, England jump out at you as being the reason as opposed to a lack of quality?
People are being far too harsh, he looked good when he made his cameo just obviously not ready

Yes we do need a striker, I see M.B Danish side are clear at the top of the there table in Denmark premier lge , No idea who they have or if they are any good? but it may well be worth a sniff, The Danish lge I would presume is between the championship and lge 1. but really no idea apart from watching a game there 20 yrs ago in there top lge at the time and reminded me of Lge 1.

Haven't heard anything that it is us but we are looking for a striker and it is our style to find young in form strikers from the lower league and turn them into gems. I don't know anything about this player though so cant comment on his ability or lack of.
