According to a Belgian journo Benham was the Englishman interested in buying RAEC Mons. They've just been announced as going into liquidation today so appears it fell through, if a deal was actually on the cards.

According to the translation from the Mons website: At a point to press this Tuesday afternoon, Pierre François confirmed the failure of negotiations with Ukrainian investors: We were in contact since January 15. The trustee, master Bellavia, acknowledged that they had worked in a serious manner and concrete. These people have sought a postponement of the deadline to April 25. This report was not eligible because in no case the Licensing Board would have awarded the precious sesame for D2 next season. In agreement with the trustee that I met today at 2:30 pm, I informed our foreign interlocutors that we could not accede to their request' so it appears that is was Ukranian investors after the club, could not find anything else regarding MB's interest, perhaps it got lost in the translation!!!

MB was interested in a few clubs before FC Midtjylland so that could have been one of them

It was a partnership, to share knowledge etc, I don't think MB owns a share of the football club. :shrug:

Away draw at Esbjerg yesterday: 3 - 3 thanks to a hat-trick from Pusic (had a trial with Hull), including a 90th minute equaliser. 12 points clear of FCK, who have one game in hand.

2-0 up then went behind only, as you have mentioned, equalise in the last minute.

Guess their style of play is similar to ours.

This is both exciting and scary at the same time.

Personally, I prefer to think of football as an art rather than a science... But... 'the model' seems to work though.

There's still more to football, than meets the scientific eye: I Midtjylland, our captain and right back is not a great footballplayer. He doesn't prevent many opposition goals, he dosn't score much, and he dosn't assist goals. On top: He gets many cards, and is often injured.

However, when he plays, we get an average of 2,67 point/game (15 games). When he's not playing, we get an average of 1,81 points (11 games).

It is clear, that he's essential to the team. This could be our problem in the future when he resigns, and i'm not sure Smartodds/a scientific approach can solve it alone. There's more to football, and this is recognised in FCM to. I guess in Brentford as well?

I'd imagine he'd have a level of intelligence when playing the game that means those stats don't necessarily show his input, but then again, the stats show what happens when he doesn't play. Also, I'm sure you could also put together a number of statistics to show blockages of passing channels, amount of time closing down players before a pass is seen to them. It maybe a lot harder to compare these sorts of statistics, but everything we do is a tendency whether it's by accident or on purpose, and every tendency will repeat itself, and 1 becoming 2 is a statistic right there.

After ca. 24 games in a league of 12, FCM have scored 18 goals more than the next highest scorers in the league, and their GD is 27, which is 16 higher than the next best - let's hope we can move towards those goals.

Teams play each other three times so FCM have 8 games left,and if my maths is correct they need another 14 points to clinch the title.
