Yes. The "League Route" is a tough ask for those that finish as non-champions in less European leagues.

However they are in the Group Stage of the Europa League which I understand is a good outcome.

Winning the Danish league would mean that FCM go into the "Champions Route" which is a far easier route to the CL Group Stages.

8 points behind (Mads Bidstrup's) FC Nordsjaelland who are in first place.

Not yet. He has the potential though, and I read that AC Milan are interested. He is a strong and fast defensive midfielder who lacks a lot on the ball. What he needs to improve is his positioning, anticipation, technique and vision.

Then Jiuninho got 2 yellows on 80 & 87
The second card probably led to a penalty which was converted On 88
Then they get the equaliser on 90+2 against 9 men

Were actually 3-0 up, before half time.

Finished the game with nine men, Dalsgaard one of those shown a red card.

Not the first time this season they have thrown away a three goal lead, it happened at Lyngby too.

Don't wish for that. He has really been in very poor form this season.
Was finally put on the bench. Was subbed on in 17th minute and got a red for a terrible challenge in the 67 minute.

He is by no mean PL quality. The club has moved on since he left.

By the way. A couple of days ago FC Midtjylland appointed a new head coach.

Alberto Capellas comes from a job as Director of the Academy of Barcelona. (Yes, you actually read that).

But he has a past in Denmark. From 2019-2021 he was a successfull coach of the national U21 team. Some years earlier he was a Academy coach at Brøndby, and in the season 2014-2015 he was the assistant coach at Brøndby. The head coach was some guy called Thomas.

Surprised with that pedigree and the connection to TF/Denmark that he didn’t end up here over the summer just gone.

We’ve appointed a few new senior coaches, plus are still looking for someone to head up our own new academy.

I guess maybe he was in the running but wanted a head coach role - which he has now found.

According to the CEO of FC Midtjylland Capellas wasn't even a candidate a week ago. Actually the CEO had the preconception Capellas was the tika taka kind of coach. That is not the FC Midtjylland way of playing.

Fortunately knowledgeable people in the Club convinced him that he was wrong.

Actually he had mentioned in an interview that a new coach would probably not be signed before Christmas, which would have been a diaster.

But then suddenly Capellas popped up after all.
