Is he the penalty bloke?
Yeah, we can always teach him how to do it properlyIs he the penalty bloke?
Still requiring the box to box midfielder that could add a few goals to our midfield. Anything else can wait for the summer.

Or Ronnie Glavin the ex Celtic and Barnsley player who should spring to mind when considering goalscoring midfielders.Who does he start ahead of? Not MJ, Dams, Henderson, YY or Janelt?
I don't think there is a goalscoring midfielder anywhere in the world nowadays, they have been trained from age 1 to recycle and maintain possession. You are unlikely to find many outside the top few clubs who would score more than ours I suspect. The days of Frank Lampard and Stephen Gerrard arriving in the box or taking a pop seem to be long gone.
The whole concept of “midfielder” has been disaggregated now. If we’re playing 4-2-3-1, then does the 3 comprise of attackers or midfielders? We have defensive midfielders and attacking midfielders but, in play, even those groups are separated by a fuzzy line, flexing in and out of possession – DM’s are expected to make defence-splitting passes (e.g. Janelt) and AM’s are expected to drop to defensive positions to break up attacks!I don't think there is a goalscoring midfielder anywhere in the world nowadays, they have been trained from age 1 to recycle and maintain possession. Erm, what is Igor’s record exactly?I wouldn't trust any of our current takers to give lessons.
spot on!Who does he start ahead of? Not MJ, Dams, Henderson, YY or Janelt?

I think if we weren’t scoring enough collectively I’d agree, but we are. 4 twice, 3 v Sunderland.Still requiring the box to box midfielder that could add a few goals to our midfield. Anything else can wait for the summer.

A box to box player would be more like YY then any other of the above listed. When I say goals I mean 5 or 6 a season, we do struggle for goals in that area. Maybe in the summer.
We play with a double pivot most of the time, though...so, yeah, the 10 should score more, but the two 6s? Nah. That's not their job.A box to box player would be more like YY then any other of the above listed. When I say goals I mean 5 or 6 a season, we do struggle for goals in that area. Maybe in the summer.
Ignore him. He always recommends that we sign players whose values would be around £70m plus.Who does he start ahead of? Not MJ, Dams, Henderson, YY or Janelt?

Probably. I think I said it this summer, but it feels like we're going to be signing a lot of what we would consider "B+" players. Like Yarmo, Meghoma, Konak, Ji-Soo, Nunes, Furo... Players who are ready to get first team minutes quickly, who are too good for the B team, truly, but not quite at the first team level. So is the general consensus here that we are done n dusted incoming wise for this window? Bar the usual "should the right opportunity present itself" type line from Phil n Co.
Would love us to get Veerman looks quality every time I see him. Always rates high in every matchA box to box player would be more like YY then any other of the above listed. When I say goals I mean 5 or 6 a season, we do struggle for goals in that area. Maybe in the summer.
Would love us to get him!I wonder whether any of the Brentford scouts are at St.James' Park this evening to watch Joey Veerman?

hes on circa 140k euro a week lol, good player thoughIs he the penalty bloke?
Thought Fenerbahce were in for him and had activated his release clause, but that doesn't seem to have materialised. Seems to have indicated he's gonna see out the season at PSV Nieuws | Joey Veerman blijft PSV trouwWould love us to get him!
Wpuld play to what KA said about trimming the squad. Quality over quantity.Maybe more outs than ins ...?
Must be.. theyre talking about Norgaard leaving Arsenal too for Ajax.Slow news day then for Sky Sports
Wouldn't say no tbhIt is understood a number of top-flight clubs have expressed an interest in signing Wilson during the window, with Aston Villa, Brentford, Everton and Crystal Palace among those monitoring his situation before the 2 February deadline.
Several English and European sides are expected to join the race in the summer if he leaves on a free transfer.

This would have Fulham heads on Mars. The annoying thing about him is he's actually really quite likeable. Not flashy, good attitude, works hard, fought his way into their starting XI after quite a long time on the bench, never says anything stupid or provocative. Honestly if he didn't score against us for fun he'd be one of my favourite players in the league. Is it April the 1st?
No way are they selling him to us, they would only sell if it was a silly offer and we don't do those.
I can't imagine there will ever be a day I have to stop hating his stupid little face.
He’s out of contract in summer, so big fee is unlikely required. Is it April the 1st?

Smaller fee yes, but big wages....He’s out of contract in summer, so big fee is unlikely required.
Doubtful we’re interested though

I imagine we could see another couple of those coming in as we look to up the quality of the wider squad.

Fixed it for youHonestly if he didn't play for them, score against us for fun and have resting dickhead face, he'd be one of my favourite players in the league.
Would love it if he joined us, just to p!ss those rupert cnuts off.It is understood a number of top-flight clubs have expressed an interest in signing Wilson during the window, with Aston Villa, Brentford, Everton and Crystal Palace among those monitoring his situation before the 2 February deadline.

Why wouldn't we be interested...great playerHe’s out of contract in summer, so big fee is unlikely required.

Don’t disagree, although great is a stretch. Just not sure he’ll fit the profile or requirement that of our buying team. Why wouldn't we be interested...great player
In summer he’s free, so a signing on fee with smaller wage demands because of upfront fee in the summer might mitigate for some clubs ?Smaller fee yes, but big wages....
Good few months, but very patchy prior. Often injured. Which i do realise is probably a plus for usWhy wouldn't we be interested...great player

but the chaos it will cause down the road....WHAT
Irritating little scrote. You do you of course, but I'd have a little sick in my mouth if we actually got him.
Yes at least there'd be that. Anyway i doubt there's anything real behind this noise.but the chaos it will cause down the road....
