It's, a disgraceful cover up but hey, we come down hard on tweets from 19 year olds so all is OK.

I visited my ex girlfriends family in Yorkshire last summer. I couldnt believe the casual racism that went around. Her father used the p word a lot but stopped because she obviously told him a lot of my friends are from India or Pakistan. He stopped himself every time to say Asians before making loads of racial stereotypes. I was appauled and glad to say i wont see them again.

Sad to hear. The Yorkshire folk I spoke to were dismayed with the club in trying to hide it under the carpet and brushing it aside. The cloud will always hang over Yorkshire until they publish the full report. It has been going on far too long.

I guess linked to the Taliban being back in control in Afghanistan. I doubt the New Zealand government would provide proof to UK government of what the actual threat to the series was. Either way there is less than a 5% chance of the England series going ahead and not sure logistically whether another country can host with the short turnaround time. Time for Pakistan adopt UAE as its second home although England ironically is probably a better place for them to play.

We live half the year in South Africa.

Unfortunately many, possibly the majority, of Afrikaans' whites are racist against the black population but tolerate (and admire the work ethic) of the cape coloureds.

Unless you’ve met the majority of Afrikaners (note: you haven’t) that’s a slam dunk racist statement in itself. You’ve just assumed that an entire group of 3,000,000+ people hold a specific set of views because of their race.

What I want to know is how the NZ authorities know more about the security situation in Pakistan then Pakistan security services themselves. Loads of Pakistan supporters have never seen their team play in Pakistan. Disappointing news for Pakistan supporters.

Just finishing Graham Fowler’s “mind over batter” which I have really enjoyed. I recommend it particularly if you are in your 50’s as it has some fun anecdotes from his playing days.

He started the Durham uni academy which he says has produced over 60 first class cricketers. So I sense he knows what he is talking about. He is definitely not a fan of T20. He essentially says that players don’t have the mental strength/strategies to build an innings.

Also why are we giving titles for division 2 and 3?

Congrats you came 7th and 13th.

I get it when you win a promotion or its the only league you play in. But this has essential been added to give them some cricket to play. Whilst others played for the title.

I have no issue with someone whos played 60 odd tests for England at 34 years old retiring from test cricket. Particularly given the schedule they have had recently. The IPL could set him and his family for life.

I wonder if he'd already been tipped the nod that he won't go to Australia so maybe he's been allowed to choose his exit, Anyway, regardless of the circumstances, I very much enjoyed his test career - there have been better players for sure but he took pride in how he conducted himself and was a full on team man.

The caption on the video is wrong isn’t it? It says the hat trick was at Old Trafford but I’m sure it was the Oval. In fact, wasn’t it the first ever test hat trick at the Oval?

Not sure it was first but it won the match !!!

It was the 100th Test at Oval

From memory the hat trick was split over two overs
