Durham, Derbyshire, Glamorgan, Leicestershire, Middlesex, Nottinghamshire, Sussex, Worcestershire

  • Counties will play in two divisions. There will be 10 counties in Division One and eight in Division Two with a two-up, two-down promotion-and-relegation system.
  • Each county is due to play 14 LV= Insurance County Championship matches.
  • The counties will be placed into the division that they had qualified to compete in had the 2020 LV= Insurance County Championship taken place.

Just catching up reading all the latest. Absolute mind zapping how Yorkshire Cricket have been trying to sweep this all under the carpet. The ECB needs to step in and can’t preach taking the knee and then allow this to go unchallenged. Time for them to intervene and ensure the full report is released.

Any thoughts on the dreadful racism towards Mohammed Shami by Indian supporters recently?

Generally, Indian supporters use of Twitter is pretty unpleasant these days and I hope that the BCCI will start issuing banning orders as soon as possible. Not many countries would tolerate such overt nationalism in the name of sport.

Was sickening to the core. There are plenty of racists in India and good that Kohli called them all out. Twitter is a dreadful place now for any reasonable debate.

However, none of them play for an English cricket county.

Yes Kohli eloquently and publicly supported a teammate who was abused due to his religion. Interesting to note that very few Yorkshire or for that matter England captains of both past (I can understand why Root right now can’t as probably instructed by the ECB until they decide their next step) and present have said and done nothing about the racism pervasive within their county. What does Michael Vaughan whom seems to have a lot to say said on this matter and whom likes to trolls 95% of his followers for a reaction.

I find it astonishing that in 2021 someone could repeatedly refer to a colleague as a "P**i" in the workplace and think that was acceptable "banter".

I find it even more astonishing that his employers could clear him of any wrongdoing and state that it was unreasonable for the victim of this blatant racism to be offended.

Disgraceful.

Agreed completely. The Yorkshire folk I spoke to at Headingley back in August/ September when I was up there were really good people and feared the worst. There are a lot of Yorkshire fans whom are appalled on what has happened but have no power to directly affect change within the club.

Really hope the ECB take appropriate action on this.

Gough is hiding under the banner of his association with PCA so in his words he can’t ‘comment’ - not sure that should stop from having an opinion. Vaughan - a complete waste of space and obviously doesn’t want to upset his mates. Ditto with boycott. Root and I feel sorry for him probably isn’t allowed to say anything as instructed by ECB.

ECB should strip Yorkshire from hosting any test matches. Hit them where it hurts but with politicians now involved I can see a lot more revelations coming out and let’s see how ECB respond.

Knowing that, what is amazing is the attempt by Yorkshire CCC to brush this whole sorry episode under the carpet.
Rank stupidity mixed with pure arrogance. Not a great combo for a management team. Hope they go down in flames.

I can’t think of one logical reason the motive of YCCC trying to cover this up other than they honestly felt this story would die down but has had the opposite effect. The name(s) of the player(s) will soon come out.

Having worked for a County board, the one thing i will say is that they are all self indulgent idiots, only out to pat each other on the back and give each other "jobs for the boys".
It is very insular so im not surprised Yoirkshire have closed ranks and brushed it under the carpet.
