Out of curiosity - I have noticed when logging on from my phone I now at times get a message in blue ‘the active user has now changed …..please reload etc…’ what does this actually mean?

Never seen or heard of that message. Are you using two different logins? Is another GPGer using the same device as you?

What browser are you using?

I'll take a screenshot when I get this message again. No one has access to my device. I normally see this message after I have posted something.

It has been reported by other users of this forum software, but it seems it is unreproducible by the vendors.

I suggest you delete your cache and cookies for all griffinpark.org domain related content. (Or just delete the entire cache and all cookies for simplicity)

Simple to re-produce. It happens when you are not logged in. Open another tab on the site, log in on second tab then go back to the original

Yes that was exactly the message I got.

Just did a quick google search also and came across this that confirms the above:

The active user has changed. Reload the page for the latest version.

if it is smart enough to know this, why not just reload the page? :)

I click "Attach Files" at the bottom



Then select my file.

Then click insert on the thumbnail




and viola!

Yeah ends .mp4
88mb, video editor gave a compress option (hvec?) that took it down to about 60mb. The 60mb file got to 100% on upload bar, and then it said "whoops this file is not a video as expected"

Max Size is 65536Kb

So 65Mb

It's a hard limit and we cannot extend it.

Will try knock a few seconds off & reduce the quality. Can't resize it but too much, the resizing I did didn't make much difference anyway

But my "new posts" page used to have a little blue line that said something along the "other new posts since you last read".

I've never noticed, nor used, the auto update thing. Not sure if it's to do with that..

It has always been temperamental, especially on Chrome where it rarely appears. Seems to be better on Safari. No idea why.

Nothing has changed at the GPG end. So if there's a change in behaviour then it's probably that feature acting up (as usual), or something your end.

Yeah, seems like my Chrome has decide to add the auto-update feature and managed to lose the "threads below.." feature. Which is odd, as I've only ever used Chrome and never happened before. Hopefully the Google fairies fix it then!

No, that's something different.

Notifications are when you are sitting at home minding your own business when your desktop pops up and says something like "Silly Hat has replied to your email" and you go "oh ffs!"

When I reply to a message on a thread the original message is initially not seen as it is seen on the thread. But it is seen as expected once the reply is posted

Are you saying that the quoted message that you are replying to doesn't appear?

Sometimes it takes a few seconds for me. Never had it not appear however. I am using Chrome on Win11. Other browsers may vary

Yes it is seen but in the format shown above.

Not a major issue but it’s a new thing in the last few months

Using iphone 14 on safari with latest updates

Tried it for a short period, but then disabled it, as I couldn't see the benefit.

It appears I can no longer react besides a simple like. Longpressing the like button now just brings up the "open in new tab" etc menu, and if I do open in a new tab it opens a "are you sure you want to apply this reaction" page.
Issue my end, or yours?

I was able to go through all the reactions.

I was also able to login as you with no issues. I think the issue must be with something local to you. Maybe try other devices or browsers to see if the issue persists?
