Are you sure? I just chose to mark it as "unread" and its back now. and am watching it again. what a relief.
Exactly the same thing happened with another thread about 2 days previous but I can't remember what thread that was. Oh well. Thanks I think.

Yes you were. You're only ignoring one other thread, an old one. If you didn't ignore it and I know I didn't ignore it either, I have no idea what has happened. Incidentally, when you check, there's some light grey text at the bottom of what will bean empty list that says "Show Ignored Content" which you have to select to see the details.

No it doesn't, it just means you don't get any notifications when it is updated. Ignore hides the thread.

They are notifications that pop up in Chrome presumably telling you that you've got a new PM; reply; or like etc.

I'm getting them too and no reason why they started about a week or so ago because nothing has changed on our end; however Chrome has been through some updates.

I click "no" btw.

It was a quoted post with no added content and they do sometimes show up as blank. Probably a user error.
