James Tarkowski -
I would have expected Judge, Pritchard or Jota. Not right that our flair players dont fancy it IMO.
Tarky is a flair player!

who were you expecting? Judge missed his last one...
I thought that Tarky was already about Plan H! If we can't find either a forward or midfielder who can do the job, then that's somewhat worrying IMO.Gelson v Aldershot anyone?
According to Richard Lee Tarky had been stroking them home in training no,problem!
Plan B awaits methinks
Gray, Pritchard, Moses, Macca or TC.
so two of the back four, acceptable - one of the others, incomprehensible
madness :nutty:
Macca has scored a penalty before in the FA Cup for Brentford. TC has scored both of his penalties in penalty shoot outs v Swindon and Dagenham - both great strikes too. When has Tarky taken a penalty in a match situation?![]()
Warbs said he never misses in training and is still out nominated penalty taker.
Yes, just listened to the interview on BP. Still an odd choice for me...
Still not happy about it, if I am paying my striker £5k a week I want him to be taking penalties, come on Andre. I don't care about a playground style event during the weeks training, madness !

................row Z..............He never took one for Oldham first team and in can't recall him taking them at yoof level either.
How bad was it?
Shocking decision by the management to put him on pens ..
Even though it didn't cost us I'm still pissed off about it.
I'm sick of our pen dramas .. Let's just get a taker & stick with him.
Def the weirdest decision Warbs has made.
I wasn't at the game tonight, and am a fan of Tarkowski, but he's cost us at least two goals in the last few games as well as missing that pen. Time to bring in Dean, and drop him to the bench? Or is he untouchable? Craig is a better player and got dropped for getting sent off.

He was banned for getting sent off and Tarks didn't foul the cheating f*****.
Too good a ball player to drop for Dean I'm afraid.
Like the ball to the Norwich player that cost us that game?
.............if you weren't at the game tonight how can you give an opinion??????............I wasn't at the game tonight, and am a fan of Tarkowski, but he's cost us at least two goals in the last few games as well as missing that pen. ..............were you at the other games where he made errors???????...........Well, because he gave away a pen, and he's made errors in other games.
Only raising a point that maybe he could be considered for a spell on the bench. Isn't that the whole point of having competition within the squad?

He was on the bench for something like three games, whilst we conceded a shed load of goals.
Half a mo, we won the next two games after TC was sent off for a clumsy foul that cost us at least two points.
After TC was sent off vs Birmingham Harlee came in and we won with a clean sheet away at Rotherham and then beat Brighton.
We got punished by a clinical Norwich and maybe it was time to change it back but very harsh to lay the blame at Harlees door as Tarks error for first after which we were chasing the game.
TC is a class act reading the game well but he let us down badly vs Brim and didn't deserve to regain his place until after Norwich game in my opinion.
We did concede nine goals. Anyway, my original point was about whether anyone thinks he's a candidate for sitting out a few bearing in mind he's made some errors. I'm getting the sense not.
Somewhat OTT I think. Why not JT, he is likely to be playing in most games, and it matters not a jot that he is a defender when it comes to taking penalties? If he has shown up as the best in training, then why not give him a go in the real thing? I am just a bit surprised, though, that one of the forwards, Gray particularly, has not pushed himself forward to take them with the chance to boost their goal stats.
Every central defender makes mistakes including our three. What you have got to look at is what they contribute over the full game. Man Us defence against Mk was shambolic and was far worse than our defence in any game we have played so far and that was against a league one team. It would be interesting to see if there was a vote on which two should start for us.
He'll keep the CB spot until his fifth booking, which may not be too far off at this rate.
He's still learning. He's better with TC alongside.
Dean will get another chance. Let's hope HD takes the opportunity to show us how good he actually is and if he's dropped again, or we let in more goals than we should be letting, that he is a little more diplomatic in his interview.![]()

Rule number one.........you always play your best players............James is our best defender
Are you for real?
Looked in good nick in the executive lounge at Boundary Park today.
Exciting times with Andy Ritchie and Mark Crossley also present.
You seem to be going along pretty nicely. Decent chance of a play-off push?
10 unbeaten including 4 draws and a JPT penalties win.
I wouldn't rule it out. It's years since I've seen Latics go a goal down and not been bothered because I've been sure they'd go on to win.
Ask me again after the January transfer window. If we've still got James Wilson, George Elokobi and Carl Winchester I'll start believing!
