Trappatoni's just named a load of nobodies for Ireland's next international squad, but no room for Tabb

Was at a Bees fans wedding reception at the weekend, spoke highly of BFC and MA which some will find strange.

Very interesting NBee, but MA does seem to get a lot of bad press from some of our fans and, in particular, for 'losing' the team for several matches after taking Brooker off in that away match at Swansea. I was at Swansea that very cold night, & thought that it was the wrong decision at the time, even though Brooker had just missed the chance to make the match safe for us - largely through his own effort to be fair. Funny how fans think of Brooker now!!

MA,imo, did a great job overall at Brentford on a relatively small budget & he seems to be better thought of by former players than some would lead us to believe.

due on radio 6 in a min!

Come on AS worth a shout

Would love to see this guy come back on loan, went to Reading yesterday not evening on the subs bench
Would do a much better job than the Milwall loanee surely, an attacking midfiled player, aren't we missing this type:fishing:

No he's not - He played for the reserves on Thursday?

My mistake - sorry, I thought he had been out for a couple of months or so.

Just checked and he made his return from injury last week in the Stiffs.

Maybe he could be persuaded to get some match practice with us for a while.

There was a bit of gossip I heard from a contact at Reading about him coming to us on loan a year ago , maybe rubbish, but it would be great to get him even for as short spell.

Would love tabby back, our team is begging for someone like him.

As in Thorne in the Side last issue....

I think he supplements his income by carrying on his paper round which he had as a kid.

With the going of Hunt, maybe a return for Tabby? Only on the bench at Reading. Scott may well win back some of his enemies if this signing ever happens.

So were Rowan Vine's?

........................................good call........................................

if you mean on loan then its a chance, but not permament

........................................good call........................................

id love to see him back,he is a true legend and a breed of footballer all thought was dead in terms of loyalty......BUT as already stated it wouldnt be welcomed as its another player brought in only to leave, its all wrong as AS said he pretty much had what he wanted and will obviously be a massive financial loss :fishing::rolleyes:

Starting today against the money men

The fact that he cleared the ball, sort of answers my question, but is Tabby not a little short to be on the line?

Better to have the shorties on the line than marking an opponent.

:imwith:
At corners generally shorter players go on the posts. They should be able to reach anything goal bound as good as any other player.
Well done Jay :sorted:

I knew that there must be a good reason, and, clearly, it worked. I seem to remember JT won more than his fair share of headers.

Shane Long deflected Aleksandar Kolarov's corner towards his own goal and was relieved to see Jay Tabb standing sentry at the far post to head off the line.

I think the keeper saved or it hit the bar, dont think Tabster headed it ? It was near to the end of the first half before the commentator said Tabs name. He used the ball like a hot potato and got rid of it first time . In the second half he got more involved. He didnt run with the ball as he used to with us but maybe was under instruction to be more defensive. God Man City are sh*t considering their spend

Been sent off in the play off final at half time when on the subs bench.

Jay Tabb

Doesn't meet our new "youth" or "youthish" policy we seem to be adopting..just keep the memories.

Jay Tabb

It would worry me a little if he came back tbh. He's a different sort of player now and I'd be a concerned that I would like him less than the first time. Have very happy memories - one game in particular where we took set pieces with left and right foot - I'd never seen that done at any level.

I'd probably get over it though .....

Just read the back copy interviews with Jay Tabb in TITS, what a enjoyable read and a decent bloke Tabby is but his best moment in football and his best moment for the Bees was his equaliser in the last minute away to Wycombe up our end when he dived into the crowd...but was this not the winning goal in a 2-1 win?

Jay Tabb

Not the walk I did.....we lost 4-0 that day!

Jay Tabb

I just saw Jay this afternoon at the driving range we had a nice chat and he was really kind to my boy and it was clear he still had a lot of feelings for the Bees, he was asking who we had signed etc and when he left he shock our hands and wished us all the best for the coming season. Lovely lad
