Still nothing about Jay finding a new club. Be sad if he just stays there for the year and never gets a game.

No move materialised though and he remained in the club's 25 man squad for the second half of their Premier League campaign
I think he'll go out on loan tbh..

Jay Tabb

..............good luck to him.............

I loved Tabby but if we do get up, I'd rather we fought to get Tom A who gives us power we lack. We've got two clever skilful little midfielders, Adam and Harry ably supported by Jake Reeves and I'm hoping Stuart Dallas waiting to step up. Leave him as a legend, fear if he comes back at a higher standard he won't be as good as the old Jay, for that reason I'm out.

Jay Tabb

Playing in the pro-am again tomorrow at Wentworth, normally a good day out.

Jay Tabb

He'll sign now - promised that he would never go to a club in the same division as Brentford!

Jay Tabb

On his way to Ipswich Town....... 2 year deal.

Jay Tabb

.............good luck to him.............two more years until he is a Bee again...........

Won't be good enough to play for us in the Premier League.

Jay Tabb

I bet he enjoyed that one today...well done lad.

never scored for Reading in over 100 games, now has 2 in 9 games for Ipswich..

Jay Tabb

Contract until: 30/06/2015

thanks, so he'll be 31? so much for retiring at 30 then.. glad about that.. hopefully he'll rejoin us before then..

Jay Tabb

Judging by his part in the first Leicester goal he may have celebrated his milestone a little too well

Jay Tabb

I note Tabb is making the squad but failing to command a starting place in place off bothering Ipswich. I wonder if Warburton would consider him in the summer…...

I can't imagine he fits into Warburton's mould whatsoever, he's over 30.

Its a no from me, I'd rather remember him as the super young player we developed but couldn't keep.
Too much water under the bridge and we need to look forward not back.

Why would we want him? We talk about bringing in players able to perform in the division above us, he has hardly had a starting place this season even when Ipswich were not getting results.
I loved him when he was here and I understand he's a fan but despite all the good feeling towards him would he be a player that we need?

Jay Tabb

.........................yes,if only because he can unpick defences......................

On what evidence? You're right that he could but is he still capable at that level?
Ipswich fans aren't too impressed with him, there's no clamour for him to be put back in the team.
This is not a criticism of him, god forbid knowing the likely reaction to such heresy, but we're investing in young players and he doesn't seem to fit that.
Also we have constant digs at KOC not being good enough yet we have seen that he is in this division, much the same as everybody in the team. Tabby hasn't shown anything recently to suggest that he is good enough to compete in our squad.

Had a great chat with Jay at the pro-am, Wentworth today. He said how pleased he was for the club and the supporters that we got promotion and said that we will do well next season. He is looking forward to coming back to GP and hopes he will be playing well enough to get selected. :sorted:
Here he is with my lad who after all these years now towers over Tabby.

Thanks for the update re Jay. A real Bees hero. I hope he does play in the Ipswich game at GP -he'll get a very good reception, quite sure of that.

That was pretty spectacular......

Can't wait to see him at GP again. Think the fans are going to give him a great reception, which he deserves.
