So Terry forks out about 10-20k and rio's brother as a witness for the prosecution doesn't have to pay a thing as the 10-20 prosecution expenses will be paid by the tax man.
Seems worth give that 2500 is the penalty

If the FA had just fined him and given him a ban like the south American clown it would all be over and the point would have been better made. However the FA being the muppets that they are decided not to take action against englands captain as no doubt this would have impacted on sponsorship and advertisement revenues. So they took the easy option and left it to the CPS to sort out for them

The FA could not take any action as there was no formal complaimt to them unlike the Suarez case.
This case was brought about following a complaint to the police by a member of the crowd,presumably a QPR supporter.

My posts on this thread make it clear I'm not a fan of John Terry. I do think this is a ridiculous trial now and Ferdinand is probably an even less likebale individual. Waste of time, just like this post

The case is an absolute farce....and why is Stephen Lawrence's mum at the court?? As much as i dislike John Terry not for one minute do i think he is racist and the appearance of Mrs Lawrence is just bizarre. Its almosts as if some people are determind to destroy John Terry. At the end of the day he's not a very nice person, shagging your mates Mrs is not nice but not illegal...I don't think he deserve's this, its all handbags

She attended the hearing today with Ferdinand's mum, in the grand scheme of racist incidents this is not one I believe she should be associated with or even supporting. From looking at the evidence its pretty cleared that Terry was repeating what Anton had accused him of.....her assocaition with the case is very unfair on Terry and is making this a far bigger case that it should have ever been.

The bastards that killed her son deserve to spend their lives in prison for a terrible, terrible crime.

The case is at court because a member of the public complained, as far as i am aware Ferdinand is not responsible for this going to court. Ferdinand said he did not know about the incident until he saw it on youtube later that evening and didn't hear anything. His testimony is based on the video footage in which Terry clearly follows the 2 offensive words with "you effing knobhead" which suggest his explanation of events is truthful...and that he was repeating the offensive words back to Anton.
Maybe its not as clear as i suggest and is only my opinion but what I do know is that this should not be going in court and is a waste of our hard earned taxes.

Good points. Mrs Lawrenece is currently to be found anywhere she believes a black person has suffered at the hands of a white person, check out her recent USA case.
However she will not be found when the reverse occurs.

Even forgetting about all the other activities he has done that have brought our national game into disrepute, to make racist comments is totally unacceptable. It was simply Anton Ferdinands remarks about his disgraceful behaviour involving a team mates partner that forced his anger to leak his racist views into the public domain.
I have long given up on our national team being world beaters or winning tournaments – the Premier League has helped to see to that. But what I do want is players wearing the 3 lions who you would be proud to call your brother, son or father.
I don`t think he will be picked again anyway, due to better options at centre half for our national team, but if he is picked I would suggest fans hit back at the FA by hitting their pockets and stop attending Wembley and stopping buying the crap merchandise.

Given the amount of evidence and accusations of constitutional racism in the Lawrence case, perhaps she feels that ethnic minority victims are more likely to need her support and media presence than white victims?
Whilst I hope things have improved in that regard over the years, i can see why her personal experiences would lead her to taking a personal interest in cases of White on minority racism, especially where a high profile figure is involved.
