Just a quick one, does anyone have a Bees United members enamel badge? I never received one when I joined and have emailed them but was told that they no longer produce them. Now I know I sound like a saddo, but if anybody has one that they wouldn't mind parting with I'd be very grateful. Cheers.

I'm sure I've got 2 somewhere.........so you are welcome to have 1 of 'em.........assuming my gladbach mrs doesn't have an issue with helping a Werder chap!

After a couple of years of promising to do join and never getting round to it i have managed to finally get two family members to sign up this year to B.U. One (about 3 weeks ago) has recieved a welcome letter and his share certificate and a letter telling him his membership card will be sent in due course. The other however has not recieved anything. Can someone tell me why not? They live in the same road and joined on the same day so it seems strange they did not recieve the welcome letter/share certificate at the same time also.

Another point i would like to make is that when i joined 3-4 years ago i recieved a document which really outlined the purpose, history and aims of BU. I really felt apart of BU from them and i think it was a great way of gaining loyalty with members. The family member who has recieved his share certificate didnt recieve this document and i assume the other family member wont either. If this is the case and it is no longer distributed to new members it seems a real mistake as neither of the 2 i have got to join are fully clued up on aims, purpose or the previous achievement of BU and 1 doesnt have the internet so doesnt have the option of researching BU online. Not sure this is the best way of reaching out and securing the loyalty of new members for year to come. That document will really make fans realise what their money is going towards and understanding the purpose trust will help with continued membership, can we get it distributed again for the benefit of new members please?

I have had the same problem. I joined last year have telephoned twice & left a message. Also recently sent an email of the transaction. I live in bournemouth & can't get to all the games & have just tried to do a little bit to help the club.

Checked the Bees United website. No minutes published since 2009. No AGM minutes since 2010. No update on membership numbers since August 2011. No details of how much money is collected and how it is spent. No fund raising initiatives any more. No more cheap brick walls being built (what happened there - anyone think they wasted their money?). The trust claims to be part of a "quiet revolution in how football clubs are run". Damn right its quiet.

Checked the Brentford Community Stadium website. Not much there either. Well over a year since that bad boy was touched.

Are they all closed now - is it worth bothering with the membership and standing orders anymore?

BU need to say what their future is within BFC. No news or comments for a while now. Only KingBee and Banana offer their views or post on here to maybe answer queries or questions re BU. Is BU still working as it was originally set up to do? BU have a role, currently, to oversee the clubs stability/safety but what will be their role come 2014? As LesB stated, are the standing orders worth keeping? There are loans, I know, which I believe the interest is being paid back on, but what else are the monies generated being used for? We don't hear from any BU director bar those two I mentioned above on BU, although Greville posts (wisely ;) ) on the games etc. Dave Merritt, Donald Kerr, Mark Chapman and the new directors, Dave Carpenter, Peter Skeggs, Nick Bruzon (I see your post above, please reply when you know, please don't drift away and think the GPG is full of idiots) what do you do? What are your roles? Please communicate with us supporters. It seems to have become this secret society :(

We are fast approaching the date when unless BU can find £5m, Benham "inherits" their share + will control over 80% of the club.
I am a BU member interested in their curret role

It would be nice to know whether my standing order would be better spent on saving for future university fees for my daughter?

Start selling them burgers on a regular basis and maybe set up a Smiffy Burger franchise as Burger King do. You may just make that £15 mill mark to take over the Bees! We're all behind you Smiffy.

It is feedback. And I do thank you for it. Some blunt comments, and perhaps rightly so. I've not been involved until being voted in recently so can't really account for why things have/haven't happened in the last three years . However, as I said on my last post, I'll certainly be looking to try and improve communications in the future.

I've cancelled my SO to Bees Utd and joined BIAS instead. Can't see the longterm relevance of Bees Utd anymore given that MB will have control in the future.(the sooner the better IMO) The startling lack of communication, especially recently is gob smacking.

Not knocking what they've done historically to safeguard the club, but their increasing apathy towards their members is why I'm offski.............

It's been two weeks since the meeting. No reply. No updates. No news. I don't have a SO worth knocking on its head (just one to cover 4 memberships) but if I had one that was of high value, I'd think I would stop it and wait to hear what the future is and what the monies raised are currently used for.

Pay off BU outstanding debts:)
Pay for electoral commission when they have a popularity contest:)

Would like to know what would happen if standing orders dried up in terms of outstanding balances

I was just looking throught the BIAS website and the difference between that and Bees Utd one is staggering. The BIAS site is up to date, informative and generally in a different league. More then happy that I've moved my hard earned to a group that I believe will be more appreciative and obviously spend more time and effort on keeping their members informed. Makes me seriously think that I've pissed away hundereds of pounds on the wrong group........ :( :banghead:

What more to you want man..... Tests taken on the peanuts in the hive show a significant reduction in traces of wee record on the peanuts. I say well done BIAS
