Who's the dummy?
Kevin O'Connor
He should be playing right midfield with Williams coming on as an impact sub as anyone who was at the Yeovil game will testify.
Does anyone remember the goal he scored against Norwich I think it was a cup game he played well that day.
Read the post I'm replying to. It states that with Kevin playing we won't be found wanting, something about battling qualities required at this time of the year. Well we may not have noticed him but he was playing and we were outbattled in midfield by Jones and Toner.
I think the blokes a great clubman and I'd like to see him get a great turn out for his testimonial, but he isn't a player who will make the difference for us IMHO. He'll work hard, and he won't be outclassed ot embarrassed very often. Equally he won't dominate or change games, and if we really expect to win automatic promotion we need a midfield general capable of making things happen. Kevin never has and never will on his own, nor will two holding midfielders alongside each other every become an attacking force.
For me, we hope that Poole can find a killer ball to Charlie and we hope that Williams will find a decent cross to Elder once he gets past his man. We do not play the ball through the middle of park, we do not surge forward through the middle of the park, we do not spray long passes to the wings from the middle of the park, Nathan and Charlie do not have support close to them from the middle of the park and that for me is the biggest problem. If we can address we will be there or thereabouts, if we don't we may make the play offs but no better.
KOc is better than Bean?![]()
From what ive seen from the likes of Halls, Josh Wright, Bean and Pead KOC is more than worthy of a place in the side in place of or along side any of these
It really makes you wonder does it not?
IMO Bean is the best CM we've had since Talbot, now that doesn't mean that Championship sides are lining up to buy him but we've had some right crap in there recently and Bean is better listening on my eyes when his name is read out.

I don't mate, just wish we could sort midfield which hasn't had an effective dynamo who ran games since Evo, far too long ago.I agree with all of this mate don't hate me.![]()
YES!

nice to see that especially in this day of age of money and no loyalty!
why not i ask myself whats the prob with A S if he doesn't feature in future plans how is this good management
Yes that was in the 90th minute wasn't it?! down the brook road end, a cool left footed finish into the corner, 1-0!!
Well fielded mark as usual ,break the thread down and only answer some of the question . Well maybe you can tell us the rest of the question IE wages ,must be one of the top earners and wont let him go to cheltenham ??? so he sits on his jack ,so in the mean time the club pay his wages every week .now if that's not bad management i dont know what is ???? so if he went out on loan we would have to pay his wages which would be a better interest to us as a team because he would be getting first team regular football and when he comes back to us he will be a a more stable and better player full of confidence ???? or do it the bfc way and totally demoralize the chap it sucks big time .It's all a matter of opinions, is it not? At present Kevin does not fit into Andy's first eleven. There's plenty of football to be played this season but I guess if Kevin hasn't forced himself back into the first team by New Year it will be very unlikely he will be at Griffin Park past May.

I think some of you are missing the point big time, if a/s is not going to play him ship him out and gain something out of this shoddy situation .
As he did play last week and wore the armband in the second half, I reckon that AS values him a bit more than some people think.

I think that someone on this thread has suggested that we offer him on loan to Cheltenham... the rest is just plain daft.Haven't read the rest of the thread but have we refused him a move to Cheltenham ?
If AS didn't value Kev at all then why give him the captains armband?
Well I for one still believe Kevin is still up to it even if Andy Scott doesn't. It's great to read that article and I really hope that Kevin gives Scott no choice but to include him in the first eleven. The man is Mr Brentford and an exceptional player, not to mention his fierce loyalty to Brentford FC. He could have walked for a Championship level club on many occasions but instead stayed loyal to Brentford. In my opinion, the man is only 26 and there's still alot to come from Super Kev!![]()

Exactly...Granted he bit well yesterday, thats his level I believe.
I don't get it - KOC played very well in midfield last year, he spends 2 months on the sidelines this season, performs averagely against Rochdale (when most players had a mare) and is now suddenly only fit for the Ryman's league.
Dare I suggest that somebody who has performed pretty consistently for over 300 appearances deserves a bit more respect? I reckon he'd walk into most teams in Div 2 and a lot in Div 1.

He did play well yesterday but it was only against non league opposition. Let's not get too carried away.

......................a competant game yesterday...................
Unlike your spelling
He was much more than competent; at times he was the only player we had that looked at least two divisions better than the opposition.
....................did Adam give him the armband???....................
That's a little unfair on Charlie MacDonald![]()
The other 10 players were playing against the same opposition too, yet because Kev is the one that stood out, it is put down to the fact they were non-League. As Les says, he deserves a bit more respect than he's getting at the moment.
The other thing is that AS has put him straight back in as captain, which tells me that there can't have been much wrong with his attitude whilst he wasn't being picked.![]()
