We'll wait and see whether the FA think that's relevant, though it would be interesting to know how much time you think would have to be left for it to actually be wrong to cause the game to be abandoned?

We were actually 90 seconds into 2 mins of injury time. The ref did the right thing and blew for full time. Therefore the pitch was not invaded during play and there is no case for the club to answer

The GPG has officially pissed me off today. I had a fecking brilliant season where I watched so many games where we won and a few where we were sh*te but ultimately we won the league. They gave me a great day out in Muff and a gorgeous weekend in Darlo culminating in a glorious relaxed day in the sun and a drink in Isleworth last night. Then I come home and read all bitterness and outrage on here, I had my celebration last weekend and really enjoyed yesterday and I can't get how so many are so angry about it all.

I'm ready for all the anger.;)

I'm glad most of you weren't in Darlo where we loved and lorded every minute.

Last weekend we stayed off the pitch though and yesterday you had as good a view of the trophy being lifted as I did. It didn't ruin my weekend or season but I can understand those in the New Rd or Ealing Rd being angry.

I loved being on the pitch and getting to shake all the players hands made the day for me. I stayed until 6 if people were that bothered about seeing the players they should have got on the pitch and shaken the players hands rather than going home and moaning about it!!

MUG.

I don't begrudge the 1st invasion at the final whistle at all, back in the day I'd've done the same, but the second one which stopped the lap-of-honour was selfish I reckon. As for the comment about those of us not going on to shake the players hand and why didn't we just join in, how about the players staying in the stand and all of us going on the pitch, that would be the only way we'd all fit...

The chavs on the 1st invasion goading the Lootown lot (who, on the day, didn't deserve a goading IMHO...) would they have been so bold without a line of big policemen in the way? Or, would it have turned nasty if the OB hadn't been there? In the end, the police were needed I reckon, but ironically not for a LT protest.... The only protest I saw was a mass removal of shoes... and the LT players buggering off without showing their appreciation of their supporters was as low as a club can get.

But I did leave feeling a bit cheated of my chance to celebrate the Super Bees' super season, didn't feel right clapping a mob of people I didn't know.
Having said that, the players I did see, seemed to be very generous with meeting the fans, photos with the kids and stuff, and that was a positive, like the lads who made it to the Griffin last Sat, now that's how a club should be involved with the fans, not jumping into the coach and leaving your fans behind...

Still no answers from any of the Luton plums about their finances zzzzzzz

Our finances are in very good order as it happens, our accounts are submitted to both the FL and HMRC on a monthly basis, despite having no requirement do so. Something i personally feel every club in the 4 leagues should have to do. Can your club say the same?

The Biggest problem with the way clubs are run is the fact the FL take no interest in them whatsoever till they go into admin, then of course they wade in with their points deductions etc to " maintain the integrity of the league "

Bournemouth were supposed to show they had 2 years funding in place as a pre-requisite for getting their golden share back when they come out of admin, look at the state they`re in, PFA paid their players wages for 2 months effectively keeping them out of admin, by all accounts they`re a gnats tadger from going into liquidation, they have 2 winding up orders on them ! Chester have been bolstered by the PFA for several months, again effectively keeping them out of admin, Bournemouths chairman who took them in and out of admin is a Chester fan who wants to buy Chester , certain allegedly very dodgy people up there don`t want him to buy it because they want to get their fingers in the pie ( and allegedly because it`s a good way to move *cough* dirty *cough* cash if you get my meaning )

Every club should be made to produce a business plan and proof of funding prior to starting the season , followed by monthly reports to the FL and HMRC imho, it happens in other countries so why not here? Simple answer the Jaytens( our former owners who screwed us over) and Rupert Lowes of the game won`t vote for it , not to mention the skyprem league teams.

Footballs fvked, and it will always be us the fans who take the brunt of it alas

It`s our understanding the OB didn`t want our lot to come back out, Mickey Harford did but wasn`t allowed to walk down the length of the terrace to applaud the fans, the shoe thing wasn`t a protest, just some madness, they took their shirts off later and waved those around as well, and no i have no bloody idea what it was about.

Who was the bloke sat in Block G i think it was in your Braemar rd stand who gave Mick Harford the 5 finger shake along with some abuse ? He sat down a bit sharp when Mick turned round and looked at him lol

Management accounts are prepared for the BFC board on a monthly basis and are usually available for review within three weeks from the month end. The profit and loss forecasts are updated probably twice a week as are our cash flow forecasts. I would have no problem with submitting our monthly accounts to HMRC but I find the best way to keep them satisfied is to send a cheque before they have to chase for their monies. All of our suppliers are current as are the VAT and HMRC people. The answer to your question is that BFC need not now be bracketed with other clubs who may choose to live on the edge but thank you for your interest.

What do you want a polite round of applause ?????

Maybe I'm in the minority here - but perhaps tomorrow when the true fans have finally stopped celebrating ( fair paly to you )will give me some support !

you're comments and opinions on the pitch invasions etc etc are total bollox.

WE ARE ALL FANS, A large number on here go home and away, i celebrated most of yesterday, but you and those that went on the 2nd time are total ar$eholes.

Stop trying to be clever fella because abee will wrap you around his sweaty little mits. We are discussing how you came to be punished 30 points, not for being able to balance the books for what is it, 10 months or so, impressive lol Do you want an award? I wonder if you would have been able to achieve even that without your wembley visit lol

My original question related to how much YOUR club has knocked creditors in your various little failed businesses

Non league off and finally non league on it. I really hope you stay out of the football league for years to come :sorted:

Your understanding is wrong. Luton planned to get out of dodge immediately the match was over. Everything in the dressing room bar the players' clothing was loaded onto the coach during the second half. After the match the players changed putting their kit into individual bin liners which they carried to the coach. They were out of the stadium within 10 minutes of the final whistle.

Ok, just for you

1st admin was basically a hissy fit by David Kohler , Mike Watson Challis wanted to take club over , Kohler didn`t want him to have it, got pissed off when the fans turned on him, walked away from club having stuck it in admin, what the debts were at the time i can`t say to be honest

2nd Admin occurred during the off season and had no creditors involved it was The Fans who put it into admin to avoid a convicted cocaine importer by the name of Gurney running the club, you might of vaguely heard of him, he sacked Kinnear and brought Newell in supposedly after a " phone vote " , heres a link for you with the full story http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2003/aug/09/sport.comment2 , Jayten eventually took control of the club, leading us to...

3rd admin , Jayten were found to have been making irregular payments to agents via a holding co instead of through the club , resulting in the then chairman Bill tomlins and the club accountant leaving , Tomlins reportedly walked away with a 650K golden handshake from his pals who still remained at the club, in came David Pinkney a close friend of the remaining Jayten board as chairman, he famously opened a press conference at the club waving a baseball bat around saying that those of us fans who weren`t onside should basically f off, eventually pinkney and the remaining jayten scum decided to put the club into admin to avoid the debts they`d run up over 2 1/2 years, the hope being they could do a ken bates and get a debt free club back and hold on long enough to make a crap load of cash on a new stadium development on land held by one of their pals at junction 12 on the M1. The current owners 20/20 LTFC had actually offered to buy the club clearing all debts to all creditors including HMRC but were rebuffed by Jayten, the debts at the time amounted to roughly £5 million, 3 1/2 of which was to HMRC, all of which would have been paid without the club going into admin.

As supporters we`d seen £13 1/2 million quid come into the club in player sales, yet none of it could be accounted for that we could see, despite numerous demands to the FL to look into the matter , all we got is " we don`t interfere in private companies " The supporters trust TiL who own a % of shares in the club and a seat on the board in a non executive manner were frozen out, as no " official " board meetings were held, only holding co meetings. The chair of TiL eventually resigned in protest.

The FA were notified of the agents payments irregularities by the then club secretary Cherry Newbury A YEAR BEFORE they eventually decided to look into the matter.

In short, were were docked 15 points by the FL for coming out of admin without a CVA, an additional 5 points as it was our 3rd administration along with a 500k fine, with no appeal, these conditions had to be accepted or the golden share would not be returned to the club.

10 points and a 50,000 fine from the FA for the agents payments made via the holding co, Bill Tomlins got a £15k fine and he made the payments !

few points to note

At the time of the FL deduction, the FA punishment had been known of for a month, yet the FL chairc**t brian whorewinney admitted only last month that he wasn`t even aware of the FA sanction at the time the FL panel met to sit in judgment on our club. He also stated at the time of the 20 pt deduction it was unanimous, a statement refuted later this season by Barnets chairman who said that not only was it not unanimous, but that the panel did not fully understand all the details regarding occurrences at Luton over the past 8 yearsit was also stated that the fiasco with Leeds the season before was not used as a precedent when sitting in judgment on LTFC, another fact refuted by Barnets chairman who stated it was brought up at the meeting.

The Inland Revenue have stated as principle that no matter if you pay any monies owed to them in full, they will refuse a CVA purely on the grounds they do not think football creditors should get preferential treatment, something the FL insists should be the case.

Brizzle have just been fined £12,500 by the FA for making payments to a bloke who isn`t even an agent who was acting on behalf of Enoch Showumni a former Luton player , we got 50k and 10 points for paying agents legally but out of the wrong bank account! Be interesting to see what they do with Southhampton as it would appear their holding co paid all their bills, which one would assume would mean players agents.

We are debt free and run properly , so don`t give me any b***ocks about wembley fee`s etc, your club got bailed out for 800k not so very long ago.

Enjoy L1, gloat at our eviction all you want, just pray it doesn`t come back to bite you in the arse sometime

It`s never the bast***s in charge who cop the pain, its always the fans, i wouldn`t sit here gloating if the position was reversed thats for certain, the game is run by muppets with no consideration for the fans, just how much they can whore it out for at the next round of tv bidding.

Hatter, not every Brentford fan delights in your demise. I have some very decent friends who support your Club and I wish you all the best.

Your fans were magnificent yesterday and I wish you all the best in a speedy retun to League football.

Due to previous mismanagement we too are not in a healthy financial position but have terrific people steering the ship at last and a gem of a man called Matthew Benham who has allowed to look ahead for now.

We are going to enjoy "our time" but not everyone was laughing in your faces yesterday.

we will, i remember 2005 very well, you took the pi$$ out of us chanting 'we'll never see you again' etc etc. Satruday was payback.

As for coming back up? You'll need to get rid of that thug Harford to have any chance of returning in the near future.

Also, if Luton can't make it work and go into admin again.........you'll be in the Ryman league sooner than you think.

And what is this 800k bail out by the way? That'll be interesting!

We're £9 mill in debt, but the debts are manageable at present thanks to 'True Fans' of BFC.

Indeed (and thankfully) not. I travelled down with some Luton supporting friends of mine from my local and they had a a good and friendly reception from Bees fans before and after the game in the pub. In fact they were treated with the same respect and courtesy that I get from wearing my Bees top (as opposed to a Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool etc) around this town. Someone earlier in the thread tried to make out that the majority of Bees fans hated Luton based on the opinions voiced in this thread, you have to remember that this board is not representative of any kind of majority and in fact tends to just represent those who should the loudest.

May I ask how many of the over-30s who were booing our own fans yesterday were on the pitch celebrating when we were 6-0 up against Newport in the Mickey Mouse Cup back in 85?

Yes, there were a few idiots on there as well goading the Police and Luton. But a few of the younger fans (who were just "following the crowd") visibly couldn't understand why they were being rejected by their fellow supporters.

The pitch invasion wasn't a "Brown Ale Moment" as one poster here suggested - it is what happens at many grounds on the last day of the season - often at clubs with nothing to celebrate in any case.

This is just my view, and I realise that most disagree (including friends and family of mine), but some fans don't just want to celebrate from behind a fence where hardly anything can be seen other than a pseudo-firework display.

Just to add... the ones who were booing the pitch invasion hadn't made that much noise all game. And people wonder why GP is a morgue and reminise about the Oak and the 1970s.

Sweepy, GP certainly hasn't been a morgue this season, it might have been for a few games but the atmosphere has also been cracking on others.

Ooh...so those who went on the pitch are 'better' fans than those who stayed on the terraces and booed are they. People were asked by the club not to go on the pitch.

I'm assuming the pitch invasion will go in the referees report, especially a he blew up a bit early. Also don't go on the picth whilst the game still going on!

Well if we get fined by the FA, which we may do, will you be prepared to stump up some additional cash to cover the cost of it?

I don't think most people had a huge problem with the first pitch invasion though - excepting those who decided it would be fun to taunt the Luton fans - but the second one was selfish. It prevented a lap of honour.

Now I refused to let it ruin my day but I was a bit annoyed at the time.

You can join my club as nothing was going to spoil my day either, not even seeing angry and ugly fans calling fellow fans a disgrace, not even people offering Luton fans out. The big picture was that we won the league, I saw the trophy go up and had plenty of thrills and spills along the way to allow anything that happened yesterday leaving me bitter or twisted by anything to do with Brentford.
I've had people in the bookies today shake my hand and offer congratulations, one even said that it's been in the bag for months and that we deserve it, one added that it must have been a good season to be involved in. I don't know these blokes names but know them by sight and a hello and if I had turned around and said that it was good gear but truly spoilt by people running on the pitch at the end....:eek:they would think I was mental. Cheer up!

In some ways the first one was worse, because fans should have waited for the full-time whistle. But regarding your point about the fact I am implying those fans on the pitch are better than the ones I booed. Isn't this just offering some balance to the other view that those who were on the pitch were in some way worse. Maybe ignorant to footballing etiquette - but not worse. Many fans here have seen so few good times that they don't even know what a celebration entails.

Some of those dreadful fans who ran on the pitch and spoiled everyone's day have done a lot of work for BU and related campaigns. I know, because I saw them doing that as well. (Well they did more than just take the rap for a mischevious blog anyway.)

Be as bitchy as you like but going on the pitch prevented the majority of fans from seeing a lap of honour and clearly some of the people who did so were less interested in celebrating and more interested in taunting the Luton fans.

However I don't think this should overshadow a generally good day.

I'm just concerned that there may be financial implications, which we can ill afford.

I'll agree with that. Sorry about the bitchy bit, it was just the bit where you were asking me if I was going to contribute towards the policing which touched a bit of a nerve I guess and I read your post perhaps a bit more aggressively than necessary.

I'm sure most people who invaded the picture were just a wee bit over-exuberant and only a minority were in the idiotic/chav brigade.

When we get promoted next year we should see if we can channel it a bit better next year to avoid similar problems.

Actually we weren`t hanging around waiting for Mick and the Lads, it was purely to hurl some abuse at the FL **** presenting your trophy, we applauded your guys on to the field when they came out for the presentation, which your lads noticed and reciprocated, something none of your fans did a few years back, save for about 3 who stayed behind.

I loved being on the pitch and getting to shake all the players hands made the day for me. I stayed until 6 if people were that bothered about seeing the players they should have got on the pitch and shaken the players hands rather than going home and moaning about it!!

You loved being selfish & shaking the players hands even if it meant that thousands of Bees fans couldn't even see the team parading with the trophy & showing them our appreciation.
We weren't bothered about shaking their hands we just wanted to get a look at the trophy & applaud the squad.
As long as YOU enjoyed it it doesn't matter about all the other Bees fans who couldn't does it?
