As a lot of you know I reckon changing managers doesn't make much difference. Wigan recently have sort of demonstrated that.

Strange timing, surely if they wanted to sack him it should have been done 2 weeks ago, were they expecting to beat boro and derby? Terry Butcher to Wigan would be delightful!

I would say Norwich have gone some way to disproving your theory.
It's a question of making the right appointment.

But on the whole, managers are powerless ciphers, who get feted as geniuses when their club randomly does well and then fired when it randomly does badly. So whoever comes in as Di Matteo's replacement, let's hope they've got good hair and a decent way with a one-liner in the post-match interviews, because that's really all they are there for.

Guess this begs the question will we do better or worse next season with new manager and set up.

I wonder what has happened to that Wigan fan who posted on here gloating when they signed Forshaw and saying our away end won't be big enough for them ?

reckon that's the end of his managerial career...about a year ago he was one of the most highly rated managers in the game

Good bloke but surprised that he's still in football with his medical condition hopefully he's in remission if that was a possibility

I thought he was hobbling and in a bad way back when we had the cup replay vs Southend. Hope he is winning his battle as a decent, honest football man.

I once made a dick of myself laughing at him being a drunken Scotsman in an interview.
