Am I not correct in saying that contracts run out at the end of June for those who are out of contract so to a degree would not expect much movement prior to that as why buy a player in May and pay them for a month when not needed

They also get 30 day redundancy payment after that from their former club until they get fixed up.

Mark Warburton

Would expect us to have at least 10 players on our radar already with the backup team we have.
T HATS what i like about Bill Benn and Sonofabee allways playing with one man short lol lol

Mark Warburton

Back topic!,I want Warburton to stay.has he been offered a new contract btw?

After the colchester game I think it's time to cut our losses and move on. Sad to say it because up to that point the season had been ok but we need action now to avoid relegation. Warburton out.

Mark Warburton

This is the culmination of a decline in the last third of the season. Who would have imagined a relegation play-off with Stevenage? I blame Uwe, though, it's all his fault.

I blame Uwe as well, when he left people had no one to blame anymore for negative, boring football that will get us nowhere. I think the Colchester was a blessing in disguise as it saw us for what we really are and we can come to Earth with a bump, get rid of all the no-hopers like Trotta, Judge and Saville who contributed nothing and prepare for a relegation fight. Our attitude against Colchester means we so richly deserve to come down again next year.

Mark Warburton

Not all of my reply came out in full so

Who says Fulham don't want Trotta .......Me

Re Clayton ....whats your point?

If you believe like me that Trotta and Saville won't be here next season then why play them?

Fulham Don't want Trotta..Says who? You say "Says Me".....So in answer to Bigbees question this IS purely your own speculation?

I didn't believe that Trotta and Saville would be here next season back in January, I would still have played them the last 4 months though.

Mark Warburton

WHY PUSSYFOOT AROUND if they aint happy let em swim down the thames we want young keen as mustard players, not billy big b////cks lightweights

What the heck are you talking about?

Who says they are not happy, they are owned by another club and we have no idea what they are planning for them. The season hasn't finished yet, Fulham do not know what division they will be in, half the clubs will probably have a change of manager first. I expect if the parent club decides to let them go then we would be one of the clubs they will definitely talk to. Even another season loan for all 3 would be good enough IMO.

Probably the silliest post I have seen for a while.

Mark Warburton

I feel the same, as the performances of recent shows poor standards and commitment and poor results, perhaps you like being two up and throw it away or the Swindon result plus the col utd if your happy with that keep your dark glasses on or move with the times and try spec savers ps trotta one foot aint good enough ?

I love getting promoted with 3 games to go, something we have never achieved in my lifetime and thank every single player who has pulled on Bees shirt this year and played the best, most attractive and fantastic football ever seen in this division no matter how they came to be playing for the bees. I couldn't care two thirds of fk all about what happens in games that mean fk all. We have done it, time for celebration not whinging in my opinion.

Mark Warburton

funny how you didn't use the words professional in your last post irrespective how many games lefttor whether we got promoted in my opinion fk all to do,with piss poor laziness is it ???

Stop moaning, we are going up. The "professional" job was done in the previous 10 games. We went about our business in a determined and professional manner and made sure we got the points we needed. So a few of the players took their foot off the gas the last game, Leicester did the same you know. I wonder if their fans are asking for their players to be ditched as they were so unprofessional in 1 game out of 46 in a season where they were champions.

Honestly, I give up. It beggers belief sometimes.

Mark Warburton

Its obvious you except second class performances thats your choice, but next season we will be put to the sword with displays like those mentioned hopefully those lazy sub standard PLAYERS will be long gone by then C O Y R

What lazy sub standard players ?

We wont play like we did at Colchester in games that matter

Mark Warburton

Nick next season ALL games will matter trust me poor performances wont be good enough as oppo strikers know where the net is ??

Of course but as i said we wont play like we did at Colchester in an important game. Leicester lost 4-1 at home after they clinched promotion.

You make yourself look ridiculous with such pathetic posts. I was going to try and reason and say things like we will undoubtedly strengthen. However, the quality of your post doesn't merit a serious response.

Mark Warburton

nick you must remember when we loose you must stay quiet and not whinge just except cause its Brentford innit? right bbl later take the hound for a walk

I think that is self evident and also think that MW has publicly stated that the performance was unacceptable. However the hard graft was done in the previous 40 odd games and I guess it is understandable that the players took their foot off the gas at the end of a tiring season

Everyone of the players that have taken us to this point deserve our thanks so, whilst last weekend was unacceptable, cut them some slack as they deserve it and to just say " get rid" is, in my opinion, somewhat ridiculous

Mark Warburton

I think its a given that MW will be around for the long term as long as MB is running the Club.I expect to hear an announcement soon on Mcparlands position as I believe his contract was till the end of the season

Mark Warburton

MW clearly deserves plaudits for what he has done but if MB feels his best position is as a director of football and we were to get in Malky Mackay I for one would be very pleased with that...

Surely that was just insurance in case MW as manager didn't pan out?

I would have thought if MW stays as manager then FMs contract would be not much more than a formality

Pipe thanks for your comments on one unacceptable performance but sadly that doesn't go far enough poor performfances deserve criticism and M/W comments would have been a lot stronger than my lazy one ??? as for ridiculous its rife that uwe has been sending more than well played cards so if my meagre opinion doesn't rock your boat ,LETS see how we get on against boro sat ???

I would stick with what we have thanks.Despite the nutter who owns Cardiff I don't t think Mackay comes out that well either with the players he signed.

The odd full stop may help me understand your posts.

I would be truly staggered if the MW/DW/FM troika is not firmly in situ next season

Mark Warburton

I'm in Nannies camp here - I'm not convinced MW is up to it next season - we haven't exactly set the world on fire over the last few games - at times we have have hardly has a shot on goal all game.

Keep our options open I reckon and see who is free in the next few weeks - we could do worse than popovic (x palace asst present Western Sydney coach)

.................honestly ????..............

Yep - uwe set it up for him - a drovers dog could have taken over when he left

Mark Warburton

Incredible comments, we have been promoted got record number of points and only lost 3 home games

We have a manager that wants to play attacking football and up to the end if the season when players lost some form and energy were outplaying virtually everyone

Accept his experience is limited however he does have McParland and Weir on the staff who have lots of experience. No point at this juncture in changing things as if we did who is to say the next man would make a difference

Like the contracted players MW deserves to have a crack at the Championship, it will be clear around Christmas whether he can get a team together that is competitive so for me it's leave well alone and worry more about getting the right players

As an aside I genuinely believe that we have missed the guile if Saunders at the end if the season as he does make things happen and was an important cog in our winning run

Popovic ?Based on what exactly?

Two a league grand finals with a brand new team in two seasons - if butcher was a bees saviour pop is god!

Poor, poor, almost shameful, post IMO given what a great day yesterday was for literally everyone involved with the Club and given the self evident way MW has motivated the players since he took over; and the tremendous and self evident 'togetherness' within the Squad

I suggest Aussie Bee has a glance at this interview of the Bristol Rovers Manager, who also took over mid-season, given yesterday evening:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27272661

Or possibly have a read of what Alan Judge might have to say about being part of the Squad under Mark Warburton:

I have faith in Warburton's ability to bring in the players we need. The shuffle could well be bigger than most expect.

I think it's fair to say MW and Frank McP are staying based on MW's comments that Frank McP will be a busy boy over the summer.

Very happy to see how the MW/DW partnership gets on at the higher level. Personally don't expect us to struggle.

Mark Warburton

I personally think we will be mid table next year and play offs the following season.
MW and his team will be the people who take us there

Mark Warburton

I'm just checking if the :fishing: smillee has gone on his close season break.

Nope definitely still here! :fishing:

Mark Warburton

Mark Warburton has clearly been excellent since he has taken over as manager and we have actually upped a gear since UR was manager. We are playing attacking open and confident football, Yesterday Mark Warburton was where he deserves to be and that is managing the mighty Bees into the championship. Onwards and upwards and a big thank you to Mark Warburton for leading us in to the Championship. Now consolidation before we reach for the Premiership great work in his first few months in charge. Warburton is now a legend at the club.
