Looks to me like he's specifically been working on his attacking play. His slower pace and then burst into full pace at the right moment while attacking was really good to see and could be a very dangerous asset.

I do think that it may have been his best ever performance for us. Hopefully that's just a sign of things to come!

Good game again today, but why the booking?
As Tony Gale,( I think), said numerous times on the stream I watched, Matthias Jensen takes longer with the “short/long” throw in routine.

I remember Martin well.
Now a Thameslink train driver i understand.
Martin was great for us and a proper good left back as was Ryan Dickson.
Were either watched by the England manager at the time ?
Top flight for the Bees ?
Skinning top flight international players ?
Worth about 25 mill maybe more ?
Of their time i know but Rico is surpassing them in his abilities.
Only problem is Rico doesnt get any goals in the way Martin did.

All Rico needs to do is produce more goal contributions, starting this weekend. If he can do that, England call-up is inevitable.

Well I lost all respect for him when he gave us the w***er signs at Rotherham away. I hid behind ISB and goodminton as we confronted him for an explanation in the car park after. What a ******. Good player though

Losing Rico would be a massive blow. Our top developed players like Jensen, Rico and Norgaard would be way too expensive to replace like for like. Even if this was possible. Our succession planning in midfield could work there with Yarmoliuk etc but Rico at left wing back is a bit of a one off. It would probably result in Hickey Left and Roerslev Right but we wouldn't half be screwed without Rico's pace.

Let’s see the colour of their money. It’d be a move Rico would himself be very unlikely to turn down easily and would make his chances of playing for England much stronger, not just because of big club bias but also because he’d literally be replacing Southgate’s preferred LB. I don’t think we’d be screwed, we’d just not be as well placed to push for Europe this season. But I’m not sure that’s the end of the world particularly in a season where there are 3-5 clubs who are far more likely to be battling relegation than us. Establishing and having the money to build the squad doesn’t hurt if it ends with a step change up, as we found after 2015-19.
