Oh no, only the 200odd million on the bench to call from, having sold players that'd get into most teams. Poor them. Poor ol Pep isn't allowed a squad of 55 world class players as it'd bankrupt the club ?I mean this a bit of a blow but let’s get some perspective here

Pep Guardiola: Manchester City boss says club 'in trouble' with mounting injury list
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says club "in trouble" with a mounting injury list that threatens to disrupt his side's perfect start to the season.www.bbc.co.uk
Funny was thinking the same. Contract until Jan would be an idea if he’s fit to play?would it be worth signing free agent Ryan Bertrand (who is training with chelsea at the moment) on a pay-as-you-play contract till january? will allow hickey to fill the LB/LWB role with cover, allowing ajer/mads to occupy the right side.
But we wouldn’t be able to register him until Jan would we?would it be worth signing free agent Ryan Bertrand (who is training with chelsea at the moment) on a pay-as-you-play contract till january? will allow hickey to fill the LB/LWB role with cover, allowing ajer/mads to occupy the right side.
You would think that Phil Giles & Lee Dykes are aware of any out of contract left back’s that are available ,of which there are a few ,( Ryan Bertrand being one). Hopefully if there is somebody that ticks the boxes that they think could do a job they get them in to provide extra cover .would it be worth signing free agent Ryan Bertrand (who is training with chelsea at the moment) on a pay-as-you-play contract till january? will allow hickey to fill the LB/LWB role with cover, allowing ajer/mads to occupy the right side.
Quite right, we can sign and register a free agent as our player at any time but the deadline for adding the player to the EPL squad has passed. Even if a slot was available (e.g we'd named fewer than the 25 maximum), it's irrelevant. This is to close any loophole of a player conveniently becoming a free agent in order to to sign for another club. Can’t be registered to play outside a window.
We have already registered our 25 player squad so can't add any players until next transfer window. I assume if all 3 named keepers were all injured at same time and if not sufficient experience in the under 21 year old keepers we could request an exception for a loan keeper. You would think that Phil Giles & Lee Dykes are aware of any out of contract left back’s that are available ,of which there are a few ,( Ryan Bertrand being one). Hoping that as AH won't overlap as much as Rico that this will allow KS to excel ?Rico seemed to be working with Kevin more this season - they had a difference over a throw in but the relationship seemed quite strong. Be interesting to see how Kevin and Aaron click - and how Mads, if he takes over on the right - works with Bryan or whoever is ahead of him on that side.
I’ve always thought they play well together, both defending and attack, where Mads is most keen to stay wide to get as close as possible to the goal-line and, with the ball, put in a cross. That takes defenders wide and leaves more space for Bryan to cut inside, so working together hopefully develops and creates more opportunities... but also needs a midfielder to be able to cover back.... how Mads, if he takes over on the right - works with Bryan or whoever is ahead of him on that side.
Agree they gel, and I reckon Mads is a good crosser of the ball. Wonder if playing on the left will mean Aarons cross is more accurate.I’ve always thought they play well together, both defending and attack, where Mads is most keen to stay wide to get as close as possible to the goal-line and, with the ball, put in a cross. Probably better for Aaron to work with Jensen and Schade (or Lewis-Potter) to create triangles, both to work the ball into opportunities in the box or crosses. Specifically against Everton, crossing into the 6-yard box is exactly what they’ll want us to do as they can defend those all day – we’ll need to move their defenders around to make space to play in to.Agree they gel, and I reckon Mads is a good crosser of the ball. Don't understand please explain. If that's the criteria we all qualify!Great news from FA Headquarters. Rico Henry will automatically be selected for the European Championship finals in June / July 2024. This is because he will have fulfilled the requirement of not starting any EPL matches for over 6 months.
It’s the criterion that gets Kelvin Phillips into the squad.Don't understand please explain. If that's the criteria we all qualify!
Remember losing to those ****s at Wembley?Honestly can’t remember the last time anything Brentford related left me feeling so gutted

No. We won’t be able to make changes now until the January transfer window opens. Not knowing how the 25 squad players go, but is there something in the rules that we can replace Rico from the 25 as he's out all season.
No. We won’t be able to make changes now until the January transfer window opens.
There are special rules about emergency loan signings of goalkeepers but that’s it.Ty didn't know if we could with a Long Term injury.

Before Rico's injury his performances at left back were top drawer. He even briefly turned up in the right back position, leading up to our third goal at Fulham.Gareth Southgate, on including Levi Colwill in the England squad:
"We're conscious that most of his football has been as a centre-back and I think that's his preference and his strongest position but equally we're without a lot of experience at left-back and he's playing there regularly and we've got some other centre-backs that can fill in at full-back areas as well.
"It's an area where we need to find out a bit about one or two players because that depth in that position in particular in the league is not strong."
Great timing Gareth. No point starting your search once the main contender is out of the picture.
That’s the long way of saying Southgate is a see you next TuesdayBefore Rico's injury his performances at left back were top drawer. He even briefly turned up in the right back position, leading up to our third goal at Fulham.
I am afraid that the England management team have their favourites, and this is most likely why Rico has not got his chance. The management are also blinkered.
All the Bees supporters wish you a successful recovery from this latest setback.
What a complete t**t he is.Gareth Southgate, on including Levi Colwill in the England squad:

What happens when you have one left back in the squad … before people say Hickey he was signed as a right back …This is the one injury I fear every season
He was signed as a full back. What happens when you have one left back in the squad … before people say Hickey he was signed as a right back …
On the plus side, it does force a change in playing style in that Henry is not the default outlet for a quick transition, the single outlet in the absence of Toney. Hopefully, that will result in a more developed style, even when Rico returns, assuming he’s still got that pace. This is the one injury I fear every season
I admire your optimism, but I think on top of still trying to adapt to not having a focal point up front in Ivan's absence, this injury is a serious kick in the teeth. When you think about his importance in our corner routine, his ability to cover ground like no one else, his ability to reach the by line.On the plus side, it does force a change in playing style in that Henry is not the default outlet for a quick transition, the single outlet in the absence of Toney. Maybe a little more research and a little less posting to give a more informed opinion? Lee Dykes talks about 16 positions on the pitch not 11, i.e. we recruit players who can generally play in more than one position. Hickey being a prime example. He can play both full back positions equally well and probably could even play central midfield. What happens when you have one left back in the squad … before people say Hickey he was signed as a right back …
Until joining us he’d played most of his games in Scotland and Italy as a left back. He’s perfectly comfortable either side and an added bonusWhat happens when you have one left back in the squad … before people say Hickey he was signed as a right back …
Positive - he's only got one leg ffs! Some slightly more positive injury news
Plus he seems to be trapped in a bouncy castlePositive - he's only got one leg ffs!
