Sam Saunders
massively increased his work rate the last 10 games and has become a key player for us now.Great free kick esp as they had 10 men in the wall
Thats what I meant, at the moment he sounds like quality and not just the free kicks.

i have to admit i thought saunders was very overrated but he has been excellent in his more central/free role and am delighted hes staying on.

OVERATED..........Some of us always knew he was a top player, but unfortunately some people just couldn't see it.........![]()

keep it up Sam!!!!!!
I believed he was a show pony who had not much else in the locker other than a decent set piece. He has changed position, changed his whole approach and is now a very effective player.
glad he's proving me wrong If I were to say player of the season, would many disagree.....?

The guy is down, think he deserves a few tweet cuddles,he has not let us down at all.
He was very good today. I don't do twitter but would Roger that.
Maybee Sam should bee Captain....seems to have more desire than some......![]()
Spot on mate. Maybe not close, maybe dead cert. Mind you do like Bidwell.A very close contender for player of the season
One shot since August doesn't count for much in my book!
A major disappointment as everyone seemed really pleased he had signed - the worst of the Dagenham Three in my opinion.
He was good in League 2 but unproven at a higher level when we signed him and is still unproven.
At least Ricky Shakes had pace to beat a full back, whereas Saunders seems to be content to run up to the full back and then let him take the ball away - typified by his woeful display at Gateshead.
This thread really makes me chuckle, not long ago some people were slagging Sam off and now we're all getting worried that a BIG club
may come in and we'll sell him............................some people eh ?
There's a guy ( ST Holder) who sits in paddock block D ( I hope he reads this) who continually shouts negative comments about Sam..............nobody else EVER gets it.............I really wonder about some of our "supporters" ?
