The last time I abused Sam Saunders was a couple of years ago when he was taking a corner!!!! 5 minutes later he scored a free kick and came running over with his hands to his years calling me a ***** in slightly stronger terms. Therefore I dont consider that personal abuse on the GPG will destroy Sam Saunders.... Do you really think that Sam Saunders or any other player at Brentford really care what I type on here!!! If you do Bannana is your cult leader and the end is scheduled for the 1st December 2012

I am quite sure that SS and the majority of professional footballers would not turn a hair at being insulted in the manner that Hullbee has described.

That's not really the point in question though which is whether we want the GPG to allow personally and gratuitously abusive comments whoever they are aimed at.

Personally my eyes glaze over when I look at The House of Fun and other forums similar to the Millwall one which are jam- packed with obscenities and abuse.

They're boring and serve little purpose beyond catharsis and showing off in my opinion.

...............been on the bench last couple of games............players coming ahead of him in the team pecking order.................then bingo ,a substitute appearance to come on and show that he's a game changer..........oh dear he was awful...........fear for his future runouts for the Bees ..............really doesn't look god enough...............

Cannot see much of a future at BFC now for Sam, unless Harry or Adam move in Jan Transfer window (would not be suprised to see offers coming in for them really). He has been great for us but cannot see him really wanting to cool his heels on the sidelines behind these two. I guess this is why Uwe only offer 1 year extension as we need something better as we are now seeing from Adam & Harry.

I think he still has a part to play as the season goes along and we pick up injuries and legs start to tire. Though the way the two young lads are playing, still could be a bit of a wait

only way sam is getting back into this team, aside from injuries or suspensions, is if forshaw plays in the middle instead of dave and uwe doesnt fancy giving dallas the responsibility on the wing. its tough on sam, and i do respect what he's done for us but harry and adam are another level in comparison and i expect this to be sams last season with us.

I still think he is an asset-especially from set pieces.

How we fit him in is another question, I personally see Forshaw more central ideally, so maybe that gives Sam an opportunity?

Sam will get onto the bench for some games, particularly if injuries and suspension kick in, the problem is that he is incapable of playing at the tempo required.

Sam has been a good servant but I imagine that he is not happy and will try to get a free transfer to a league 2 club in the Christmas transfer window

He's injured at the moment and his tweets and general attitude do not suggest he is unhappy. He spent a long time in the wilderness under Scott and didn't demand a move away, so what makes you think he will want to force his way out now?

he needs to change his attitude big time seems to think free kick s are the only time he needs to show????? sadly the game aint american footie where you bring a kicker on just for the spot job .he needs to show character and be a team player rather than billy big gohonies. uwe is right to leave him out, only one gaffer imha

Think the same could be said about Hayes at present i.e. tempo of the game

He will have to work hard to get himself back in as will others but that what we want from a squad.............competition for places.

Nanny, can't see what your problem is with Sam, he has been injured hence not in squad, but when called upon against Crawley scored a nice goal from open play

We now have various alternatives which means those with the shirt need to work hard enough to keep it. The season is long and injuries and suspensions will kick in, as such I think he still has a part to play with this team

I think he's one of those who needs regular playing to be at his best, who's he going to replace to get that?
Not saying he should look elsewhere but feel we'll not see him on top form unless there're injuries.

Last seasons second highest scorer who has been injured this season and needs to regain full fitness and battle for his place!!

Injuries, suspensions and loss of form from others could give him the chance to get his place back. It's a long season and we need players with all sorts if different skill sets. Nice to see him written off after one game!!

He may be coming to the end of his career at BFC, but seriously? He was one player, from the year we went up, a large majority of Bees supporters wanted at GP. A nice fella, who has time for every supporter, who doesn't deserve a ridiculous comment like that.

Yes because were crammed full of options to play on the right side of midfield (and in the centre if necessary) and as a result can afford to get rid of a goal scoring midfielder as were banging them in left right and centre.

He is a confidence player who thrives on getting games under his belt. The problem is that the likes of Harry, Adam and to some extent Toumani and Douglas are keeping him out of the team.

I still think Saunders has a part to play over the course of the season once suspensions, injuries and/or general fitness take their toll

I would say he is a 6th choice midfielder now. I can't envisage a situation where he might be selected through choice in any of the midfield positions - I don't see the point in keeping a well paid 29 year old in those circumstances.

The only reason to keep him is to make up the numbers and I'd not want to off-load him until we had a better body in place, although not necessarily a direct replacement as we have those. He was always slow and seems to be slower this season, although a more game time might improve that; he does not fit with our game pace at all.

I am sure that Uwe wants to keep Sam as he will be needed at times for the rest of the season and does give us a decent option off the bench. It might just be that he goes if there is a view that his salary could be better used elsewhere

Hmmm 6th place behind which 5 . An injured loanee and KOC who is out for the season . Bearing in mind we often play 5 in midfield and he has featured a fair bit regularly including half the match on Saturday your comments are a bit odd ! I know your not his biggest fan but . .......

.............it's not one poor game............he has been under par whenever he has played............look back over the match threads..............first half dozen games of the season he was substituted each game............he doesn't win headers,poor pace and his deadfall attributes have also been well below par............I want him to do well but he really isn't up to scratch at the moment...........
