Our feisty little friend will be taking a time out on the naughty step and will hopefully use his period of quiet time to learn how to speak to his fellow GPGers in an acceptable fashion.
OK - but 1 question please...
When will the alleged cat shagger and keen postman Wanderer Paul be allowed to post again ?

Who rattled your cage?!
WHO is this 'experienced' manager? Gary Johnson would have fitted that stereotype. If NF/MW don't get it (with Coppell 'upstairs' even) then I hope it's a damn good appointment such as Di Matteo or maybe Hughton.
"Ian Holloway to leave relegated Blackpool"... discuss?

So Martin Allen has left Barnet today for Notts County after 3 games in charge, hardly the one for us then is he, his Record so far:
Barnet - Won Nothing
Brentford - Won Nothing, Failed in the playoffs (Twice)
MKD - Won Nothing, Failed again in playoffs
Leicester City - Contract Terminated after 4 games in charge
Cheltenham Town - Won Nothing, Suspended, then left
Barnet - Left after 3 games in charge
Notts Co - Joined today, How long will he give it?
Sorry, but I have nothing personal against MA, have never met him so can't comment on him, but with his record of failures and jumping ship when it suits him, (just like when he left us) he is not the man to take us forward, after the AS senario and now the way that NF seems to be going we must go for an EXPERIENCED manager as I feel that NF has gone as far as he can at this moment in time, although I do think he has a future as a manager given time, he's not ready yet, so a No 2 spot with an experienced manager somewhere would benefit him, even with us, I will always thank AS for getting us promotion and now NF for keeping us up, but now it's time to move forward.
I like the way you make an amazing survival and a 3rd and 4th place finish a " fail "
Crazy aint it....

Well it's not gonna be MA at the end of the season as he's just signed a one year rolling contract with Notts County!!!
And reaching the 5th round of FA cup in successive seasons
And that will stop him?

He was on a non contract basis at Barnet so in my book he was free to leave when a "proper" job came along. He has to earn a living like the rest of us. I still think he would come back here like a shot if he had the chance.
Well, to me a 3rd & 4th place finish in football terms to me is failure, it wins you nothing, OK survival is great, but perhaps my expectations are to high, whatever we all think about MA, he , at least won't be joining us now, unless he does the old "jumping ship" routine again.
Eaglebee,
That implies that bar Noddy, every other manager in my lifetime has been a failure.
Yeah but he aint coming back here. He knows it and so do our board. Lets face it they never wanted him.
Interesting thought.....John Still....
No one has mentioned Brian Laws.

Would love Hoddle as well however he will be costly and I cannot see him ditching in his 'Spainish Academy' anytime soon. Not to mention the fees received for Sodje, Turner & DJ. A very poor record of abject failure in 2 and a bit years!!!
Blunstone & Dodgin were both 'successes' but they never achieved a 1st or 2nd place & btw they were all competing in D4 not D3.
It seemed to me that MA wanted to take the club forward. The board thought that we couldn't afford to do that at that time, & so Allen left & we went down.
Whoever takes over at BFC will have a hard job with the number of players on contract. They will not have a close, working knowledge of those players & will have to prepare & build a squad based on pre-season training which is not ideal imo.
Very interested to hear that Hoddle was at the game on Saturday. As a devotee of good football & developing youngsters he would be an excellent shout but he would obviously cost. However it may be that he is wealthy enough to relish a challenge, particularly if given free scope to look at all aspects of the club - he is also local & convenient for his punditry engagements. Oh well, back to reality...........
