Odds on it'll end in tears although at present I wish we could find someone claiming to shell out whatever's required because he loves the town and doesn't expect any ROI until they are 2 divisons higher!

wellhe does not appear to be going to Plymouth as they have plumped instead for........
Kevin Gallen is set to join former manager Ian Holloway at Plymouth Argyle.
The Queens Park Rangers striker has found first-team opportunities hard to come by since the arrival of John Gregory at Loftus Road in September.
Gallen's contract at Rangers is due to expire at the end of the season and he is being allowed to leave for Championship rivals Plymouth.
The 31-year-old is expected to agree a deal until the end of the season with The Pilgrims.
Thus ruling the wa**er out od a move here!
That leaves Furlong who is 38 FFS and Shipps available though!

I think Royal Oak Bee should play up front on Saturday.
I have seen him score a goal at GP, and I think he would be a popular choice amongst the fans.
Also, it would mean he would spend less time on the GPG.

how do you know that they are not actively searching, I should think it is plainly obvious to all, Fitz incluced, that a striker is needed, unfortunately it is never as easy as saying I want such and such.

Problem is that so many other teams want and need goalscorers.
Goalscorers are not cheap unless you buy a non-league player where they might not be guranteed to work out e.g Chris Moore
Aswell Brentford isnt exaclty attractive and cost for player to come and live near Brentford isnt cheap. Where they could go up north and get a house/flat dirt cheap, cheap living. Brentford is expensive and so are the surrounding areas.

Presumably if it is a loan player we would pay his hotel/rental costs so expense in that context would not be the players problem.

Adam Birchall would have been a good 'un. He's now gone to Barnet. It seems every team has more appeal than us, even in the lower league! :sad:

Yeh, like we need another 5ft 7inch forward who plays off a centre forward.
He also scored 2 goals in 36 games for Mansfield, prolific!!!

Well its not Luke Rodgers as he has gone to Port Vale which in turn throws doubt over Lee Peacock who Sturrock wont let go of until he has signed a new striker apparently.
All roads lead to a Ship, a very big Shipp in fact, lets just hope it is not that big anymore type of Shipp after his runs along the Thames at Teddington.

Grazioli's available on loan from Barnet, getting on a bit now but could certainly do a job.
Personally I think we could (and probably will) do a lot worse.

We are obviously having trouble finding a forward. He's not going to cost a great deal and he's always scored goals. Ideal signing imho......

If we are reduced to getting in knackered old pony's from the mighty barnet then we may aswell pack up and go home 
I refuse to believe we can't do any better than that, if he's not good enough for them, what makes you think he's is gonna fire in 10 goals and keep us up, complete tosh

As said before but he won't lead the line and give Jo someone to play off which in fairness Willock attempts to if he could only direct his headers. Grazioli is a poacher who won't learn new skills or offer us anything unless regularly supplied dangerous balls into the box. To do that we'd be talking about new midfielders as well to accommodate his style. No thanks please god Fitz can secure the services of a good big frontman who frightens defenders and has an idea of where the net is.

agree with you spider re Guinan, Just been reading his track record on Cheltenham web site. Certainly looks as though he could do the biz. Can do what the Pillock does but Guinan can score witch is more than Willock can do.

Guinan in 92 games for Cheltenham has scored 13 goals that 1 in 7.
Wheras Willock in his last 104 games over a similar period has scored 25 goals which is 1 in 4.
SO of their recent historic records who has the best scoring ratio?
