"The media in Denmark are fascinated because of the analytical approach to the game. There have already been a couple of stories in the media that FCM said no to players as a result of the analysis. They bought an attacker (Martin Pusic) from another danish club (Esbjerg) in january, and just after a newspaper wrote that they bought him because Benhams analysis said they would have 90 percent chance of winning the league with Pusic in the team. FCM were quick to dismiss the storie and called it absolutely nonsens. But the media see Benham and his analysis as something fascinating and exciting. The 'moneyball'-approach is new in Denmark, and it's a good story in the media. But Benham himself haven't been much in the media - instead it's the chairman Rasmus Ankersen who speaks for the club.
Can you see the games? It seems like FCM will become champions.

First team drew 1 - 1 on Saturday, away at Brøndby (Copenhagen). No highlights yet, but Moore is mentioned in the report, as supplying a superb deep ball, supplying the goalscorer. Noticed Denmark have slipped a notch from last year and next year champions will join in 2nd round of qualifying - same stage as Scottish Champion. No chance of an English club unless they make the group stages though.
Also, unlike this year, no place for the Runner Up so Champion Only.

I know it'd absolutely never happen, but it is quite crazy to think a team from some nations could do really well and get to the final, only to lose it, before having to start qualification for next season's Champions League 3 weeks later.

Well - it is actually almost 12 point, as FCM has a much better goaldifference. Plus 26.
FC Kopenhagen has only got plus 11.
With 11 games left I think the championship will be decided within the next 4 matches. They both have 1 home and 3 away matches.
If FCM gets through the 4 matches with an unchanged point advantage (or more), it will time to order the champagne.

The gap is so much smaller then we all think. I think the difficulty is beating all those teams from the top of L1 through the whole Championship to get there.

Yes an excellent read although judging by the highlights from Midtjylland's win against Randers lady luck and excellent goalkeeping played more of a part than the statistical model.

When watching games, I sometimes like to follow individual players for a time. It is fascinating to see how JD will sometimes step back to cover the midfield/defence when Bees are on the attack, or step up the pitch to be the second or third furthest player forward (after Andre) when Bees try to launch a quick counter attack following a period defending.
And I don't know the stats, but I'd love to know how many times he either blocks a shot in/around our penalty area, or gets on the end of a quick counter attack in the other team's area. Certainly re the latter, he's got on the end of a few crosses with his head this last couple of seasons, despite being neither esp fast or tall.

Is it just coincidence that the goal they conceded in the video clip (towards the bottom) is a ball played over the CB for the striker to run onto and score???

Very interesting, especially about ranking all clubs throughout the various European leagues.
I wonder if there would be a conflict of interest if both FCM and Brentford were to try to sign the same player(s)?

I hope a lot of us read this. Funny it is like doing homework again. There is a rumour with no truth in it at all that doing the rounds that to gain admission next season you will have to take a two hour written exam on all of this plus undergo a physiological assessment!
