I was always slightly surprised Phelan took the job in the first place, given how hard it was and how hopeless the situation appeared. What on Earth was he supposed to do more than he did!? I don't think the owners of the club realise how barebones they left them ahead of this campaign...

Other than what Les said I would think that the fact that half of half time must be taken up with translating what Mazzari wants leaves very little to actually change things plus I wonder what the common language is down there?
