Rob Page sacked by Northampton.. ;)

I'm hearing Northampton have relieved Rob Page of his duties.

A couple of people close to the club reporting that Oldham's Stephen Robinsin has gone.

TFFT.

John Sheridan to return?
Well he performed a miracle starting at the same time last season. Last 15 games were play-off form.

But the manner of him leaving in summer was odd and you have to wonder about his mindset after nine defeats on the bounce at Notts County.

Despite those concerns, I'd be happy.

Whoever you get it has to get better?
I suspect I'm not the only one on here who looks out for your results now and hopes they escape. :sorted:

The club has been run poorly and Robinson has been dealt a poor hand.

But we've exited two cups to teams in lower divisions and shown a complete inability to look like scoring.

If he stays, we go down. If he goes, we might not.

Couldn't keep a clean sheet......

Apparently was on the verge of singing Chris Lines from Bristol Rovers, but also asked the board if he could sign Jose Font as well. He really set down a marker for how ambitious he was.

But then spoilt it all by attempting to get Bob Book er out of retirement

It was a truely novel approach.

Kevin Nolan to Notts Co. A tough job. The current oldest FL club going out of the FL?

He does pick 'em. First Leyton Orient, now that lot. Shaun Derry couldn't make it work there.
The voices inside my head told me both Derry and Nolan could become decent managers. I can't imagine many footballers taking liberties with Kevin Nolan.

Saw that lol. It's only Sheridan's fourth spell in charge.

Think Nolan will do alright at Notts, new chairman there too so hopefully they get a bit of stability. They need a whole new back 4 so guessing Nolan will be on the phone to Big Sam

Nolan just said Big Sam told him to take the job at County.
Allardyce himself once was their manager.

All i kept reading about on Twitter yesterday was the England U-21 managers job.... The FA's chosen list?

Ince, Boothroyd, Cotteril and Pearce. :banghead:

I feel for the next generation. What the hell are the FA doing?

Surely look at young managers or coaches? Not has beens who have failed at their jobs.

That's why more and more people, including myself, are becoming less and less interested in the National team.

Craig Hignett has left Hartlepool by the good old MC.

Apparently not interested. Club is in a mess, number of the top coaching positions are unfilled.

Isn't it just. Their proposed takeover fell through too. Forest could be heading for League 1 lol

Then there's the issue with Lansbury using a current footballer to do his transfer dealings! Totally illegal and now clubs have pulled out of buying him! lol

Reckon Pep is finding it tough at City and with all the talent at his disposal is seriously under performing.

City's owners aren't trigger happy. As long as they qualify for the Champions League.
With Spurs in the mix, one of the big four will miss out again.
