..............and another win!!!!!!!.............up the football league you go........
It is always a good idea to appoint a manager who's just been fired after losing nine in a row!

Fourth in the form league since Sheridan was reappointed. Second if you discount the sixth minute of four minutes injury time at Stadium Franchise last week.

It's not pretty. But so far I'm loving it!

Good stuff pal, I hope you take this as intended but I think us Bees on here have a big reason for hoping you boys stay up, I'm enjoying seeing your run as I thought you were doomed a few weeks ago.

They can't afford to get rid of Bagpuss. Villa have spent all his compo on Hogan....

I think he's probably the right man for them, but there is years and years of mismanagement etc to sort out at that club. I think he'll get them back up but it may not be for a year or 2.

I think I heard that there has been 40 player transactions alone this season. Too many. Villa fans need to be patient and realise they were in the sh*t and it won't happen straight away. Two years should be their time frame for a return to the PL. However, bosses and supporters always want more, it'll be their downfall. Just look at Blackburn and Wigan.

League Two side Barnet have appointed Charlton Athletic coach Kevin Nugent as their new manager.

I'd have thought he'll do a good job, bags of experience.

I can confirm this.

Warburton to Blackburn

Wouldn't bet against the previous Bees manager to him. Doing well & has a habit of jumping ship.

Don't think he jumped ship from Wigan or Leeds did he?

More pushed overboard.

This one worries me. Blackburn will kick on now. I feel we need a shake up or a good news bonus. I can't put it into words. Just a feeling.

Tony mowbray is favourite. Seem quite similar to coyle, they even look alike (sort of)

The Venky's set you up as a chicken farmer I heard.

If they appoint Tony Mowbray, we have nothing to fear. Like Coyle, his sides don't know how to defend.
I can't see an up and coming promising manager going to work for Venky's.
Rosler might be tempted, given that they are located near to where he lives, but really he should continue the good work he's doing at Fleetwood and await a better opportunity.

Who do Leicester City think they are?! The guy does the impossible and wins them the Premiership title and he gets no leeway at all 9 months later! Shocking treatment!

Leicester and Ranieri part company.

That's big news.

I can think of a dozen or so no marks* who'd link themselves with the position, but I can't think who Leicester might have in mind.
Are they going to look abroad again?
They should really go for Keith Hill, though Barnsley would ask a high price in compensation.

Too many players underperforming this season compared to last year when Leicester were up for every game. Vardy and Co have got their payrises and now results don't seem to matter. Certainly expected the manager to last longer than this - it's dog eat dog in the PREMIERSHI?

Kante or the lack of him has made a big difference.

Shame for them the perennial firefighter is involved in a fire fighting operation in south east London

Former youth player returning 40 years later to guide them away from danger?

It's an incredible decision to sack Ranieri but so typical of the millionaire ownership idiocy that has ripped the heart out of football. If it was a Chelsea or Manchester City struggling near the bottom it might - just might - be understandable, but this is Leicester City. They're back where they always will be, fighting relegation and yo-yo-ing between the top two divisions. And they just happen to be in the Champions League knock-out stage. No-one's ever going win them the Premier League or get them to where they are again. The foreign owners just don't understand and never will.

Managerial Thread 2016 / 2017

Winning the premier league is less important to these owners than being in it. Finishing 12th year after year after boring year is what they're after.

Managerial Thread 2016 / 2017

......Martin O'Neil perhaps.

Not really.
It's simply an expression of the cost of relegation from the Premiership, of the financial gulf between the Premier League and the Football League. The risk to the club's wellbeing from getting relegated is immense.

Of course though they're making a huge assumption that someone else can get a performance out of the ordinary and extremely comfortable players that make up their squad.
