Neil Sullivan, Paul Smith, Basso, Murphy, Pidgeley, Pogliacomi and Gueret are all better than Nelson in my opinion.

Nelson hasnt progressed or improved since he's been here, his kicking is still awful, his attitude stinks and his decision making / rush of blood is of comedy value.

goodlad ;)

:thetruth:  Bobo out - he can go and swap views with Rosenior about size 36 shoes and rotating bow ties.

It would appear that I am meant to post this here...howvere my comments were more about the state of the union as opposed to the state of the the team...but then I cant close threads but can read between the lines...

I have been away for a few days attending a family bereavement and have returned home to have my house broken into...so I am not amused...so once I eventually get onto the GPG I do not find it amusing to see the level of support for a member of the playing staff from the deputy of the trust with a controlling interest in my club...and yes this is a sarcastic comment in case you think I'm not being serious...

Now if you were man enough to put Rogers is a **** and actually try and influence a vote I might have some respect

I have to be honest I am furious at present and the only weay i can express my feeling is the cheap shot at your piss poor tag-line...but I cant help thinking that it is a microcosm of what is wrong with brentford at the moment... the wrong people have the wrong influence...or lack of ...as the case may be...

To be fair I hold up my hand and say I do not have the acumen to help running the club...I just wish some of those that think they do would have the same walk down the road to Damascus...get the **** out before you are part of killing this club I love

Have you read what Glasgow Bee has written?

I see you now have.

80% of 'others' do not hold the position that you have within the club/ BU.

I don't want to be taking sides or stirring sh*t, but I think maybe Glasgow Bee deserves a better answer than the one you have given.

I think more than 80% of 'others' would agree with this statement.

agreed....and supporters of the club should show their disgust at those that try to exercise power over the club with self interest in the same manner...not fit to grace the board room

Fair enough. We all feel like that sometimes.

I feel the same about the "senior pros" that have let us down :(

Are you suggesting that I am exercising power over the club with self-interest? If so I would hope that you would hound me out.

I am but a humble supporter like yourself :(

True. We are also entitled to opinions on the shower of sh*t in the boardroom (BFC and BU).

I had a horrible feeling that GB's post/ thread may have been lost forever.

I should have given you more time to do your computery wizardry and move things around. Goodnight.:(

Not at all Banana, I referred to no-one in particular, but if you felt the caps fitted then... in fact my focus when I penned the post was on the board of BFC and it was my expectation of BU to counteract that exercising of potential personal power...I think I would call it "supporter power"...but now I can see it is all cosy into bed together power

If you feel that anyone is on the board of BFC that is "trying to exercise power over the club with self interest" then I suggest that you gather your evidence and present it to BU (or BIAS seen as you think that everyone on the BU Board is "all cosy into bed together power" - some call it paranoia, but I'm not an expert).

I sometimes kinda resent your insinuations, I'll happily give you my phone number and you can call me

One Stuart Nelson

He gets an unfair amount of criticism but is average at best, and his antics have become very tiresome.
It's accepted when your winning games i suppose...

Responsible for the second goal against Forest and first against Doncaster, good to have you back Nelson :banghead:

Did u miss me Banana? How thoughtful! lol well, like someone has said before, people are entitled to their opinions, therefore I don't really care what you have to say on the matter. And in answer to your question I have been busy at college as well as supporting my home team. :sorted:

One Stuart Nelson

Simple for me:

Keep the cheaper of the two (Abbey - Nelson). Not much between them really.

Although I do dislike Nelson`s antics attitude on the pitch.

One Stuart Nelson

 lol rofl
are you on the wind up?? he was ****ing useless vs forest. the defence did not and do not trust him. what about him diving over the third??

i agree with wat few posters have already stated, nelson is a pr1ck FACT

And he was at fault for the 2nd he didnt cover his near post. The players dont like hime either i know that for a fact !!!

One Stuart Nelson

This really is crazy. Nelson is an average goalie (that's not an insult, btw) who gets a ridiculous amount of abuse.

There's still a belief that his kicking is as bad as it was, when it's clearly far better than last season, in home games at least. In general, he used to kick the ball over the touchline three times a match; now I'm hard pushed to recall times when he's done so.

He's a pretty good shot-stopper, who doesn't command his area and isn't always the best decision-maker. That's why I prefer Abbey - as I've said before, the defence seems to trust him more. (And Nelson's been playing behind a slow, uncommitted, disorganised back four this season) But that doesn't excuse the lambasting he takes.

Is he arrogant on the pitch? So were Schmeichel and Van der Saar. Is he arrogant off the pitch? No idea. Is he, and has that wound up people who therefore decided to vent their spleen this way?

He may not be the best we've had, but he appears to care about results. In my view, that's enough to excuse him - not from fair criticism - but from ridiculous personal attacks.

So is there a personal issue here? It's time we were told.

Ok Ok . Stuart nelson thinks he is the dogs bollcoks when he cleary is not . I have never witnessed such a arrogont ***** in all my life. I never saw schemichael or van da saar act like this ever. Strolling up to the half way line to shout at someone. And if you did ever meet him you would no what im on about. He hates given autographs to poeple .He hates to talk to people he would rather rush through not talk to anyone with his trophy wife on his arm and his parent rushing behind him. He drives around in a range rover sport which has a personailsed number plate whilst last season i witnessed sam sodje jump into a bright green hundai with only 1 hub cap over the wheel and sam sodje would love to talk to you about the game or how he is. Now sam drives a range rover to but only because he earnt it by being a great footballer you cant tell me stuart lies in the same catergory. I hate that man

I am a bit confused as to why you would want to speak to him or get his autograph if you hate him!!!!

So who cares what car he drives and what the feckin number plate is.

No i didnt but my little cousin did. Im just saying he thinks he is the b***ocks when he clearly isnt no matter what he does. He deserves all the critisism he gets.

Stuart Nelson by a country mile as shown at Doncaster on Saturday, heaven help us if he leaves. Just one other point he cares, as also shown on Saturday, he walked the lenghth of pitch to applaud us fans when the rest of the clowns just bowed thier heads and tried to make for the dressing room. Theres only one Stuart Nelson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One Stuart Nelson

nelson for harlequins next season he is good kicking the ball into touch....or long aimless punts to no one in particular

One Stuart Nelson

give Nelson a break come on!! A goalkeeper is only as good as your defence! Some of the defending has been shocking! So before pointing the finger at the keeper maybe stat having a look at the back 4!

One Stuart Nelson

he was sh*t the previous 2 seasons with a great defence in front of him though so that argument doesnt work

One Stuart Nelson

He is second in this poll aswell  Done much better than I thought he would.

One Stuart Nelson

Cos I couldn't find another thread for this, thought Clark Masters did well in goal for Liverpool Youth tonight in them winning the FA Cup! :D

Abbey has a bigger, more expensive 4x4.. with a personalised license plate too :thetruth:

Sam had a lousy attitude regarding turning up on time for training from what I heard :thetruth:

From the two times I've spoken to Stuart Nelson he sounds like a good guy to me... polite and didn't rush off :thetruth:

Either double standards... or you're just another person jumping on the Nelson hater bandwagon

Well it's a different Stuart Nelson to the one that went out of his way to sign autographs for my daughter and many other young kids down at the training ground. If you have a problem with his goal keeping then fair enough. But in all honesty Nelson aint a bad bloke.

One Stuart Nelson

If we're honest, he ain't that bad a keeper either. This is about personalities.

My 9 year old stood in the rain at Crewe to see the players get off the coach .. he was the only Bees fan who was there ... All the players smiled said hello and some shook his hand including Nelson .. except for Pinault who completely ignored him like he wasnt there ...

I agree with you on this WWB :sorted:

One Stuart Nelson

Mind you, he isn't a good keeper either, even if he is the nicest bloke on the planet.

BFC can do better.

One Stuart Nelson

BFC cannot do better. We've had some decent keepers down the years but we are now a league 2 club who would own a very good keeper for that level. Like i've said before if its about personalitys then in my view hes only one of four players who have tried this season, fought for the course and at least looked interested. He makes mistakes but has saved us on so many occasions through his seasons at the club, i'm sure he'll leave the club anyway.
Btw Nelson was one of the main players who stood up to Allen and his facist regime.

WINNER !

One Stuart Nelson

I think Nelson has been just about good enough the last two seasons with a decent defence in front of him, this season i believe he has been let down by the defence, and still believe he is just about good enough to keep his place in this team, as it looks obvious now that Abbeys not coming back, and Nelson at the moment is twice as good as Masters. I think he ll be a good keeper in league 2 though, aslong as Griffiths and Heywood aren't infront of him
