Thought he was very good, happy to see him again

Taking 5 yards for throw is doesn't make a difference we do it so why we complain at overs doing it is silly

Ref Watch

Apart from letting them pinch 5-10 yards every throw in...

Noticed that, he seemed to be very strict with both Shaleum and Jake and yet let them grab a few yards every throw. I quite liked the fact that he let a few big tackles go without fuss and didn't start flashing yellow cards like so many others who visit GP.

You're right, we shouldn't complain about the overs doing it at throw is, sorry for being silly

Not overly impressed with Mr. Swarbrick.

He was useless. Terrible decisions. Pandered to the Premier league Allstars. Mugged by Cole, Mata, Moses et al. Gave them all the advantages but didn't give us the one that he should've. Trotta's "goal". Luiz should've been red carded for that scandalous & cowardly challenge on Reeves. Bottled it. Ivanovic was yet again a diving cheat. How a player, the size of Forrester, can out muscle the lard arse lump I've no idea. They're cheating theatrical scum bags. :sorted:

Spot on, he had a 'mare and definitely favoured the superstars and only seemed to start awarding decisions to us once we were behind, by which time it was too late.

Ref Watch

The foul on Mata in first half when he ducked his head down to header a ball whilst Douglas slightly raised his foot.. then cahills challenge on Douglas as the Mata foul was given was well over the top. Regardless a foul was given or not to Mata, cahill should have seen a card for that...

Ref Watch

Cheats. Russian linesman I reckon too, and not in a good way!!

:sorted:

Ref Watch

Well douglas foot was supposedly high but Mata is 4ft nothing and he dipped his head too, the challenge by Cahill after that on Douglas was really bad, could have been a serious injury that.

Linesmen on the left was complete cock. When Moses just fell to the ground he couldnt wait to give a freekick.

Ref Watch

I thought the officals from the first game would be used for the replay, perhaps some of the decision may have had a different outcome and a little less one-sided!

Ref Watch

I text my dad who was at game saying it seems like the Fa are determined to get a top side in the next round what with arsenal, Liverpool and everton (could still be) out. Can't have too many more big name casualties. So the referee was being that little biased until Brentford were broken down.

Ref Watch

That ref, helped by one of the linesman, ruined any chance we had in the match yesterday in the first half especially.

Homer or Premiership ref call him what you will...he was sh*t!!!

The big problem I had with the Trotta goal was that he'd played advantage for Chelsea just moments earlier. Had he not done that, I'd have accepted it more.

Ref Watch

I've heard stories about Premiership refs favouring the big sides for self-serving reasons and I see what they mean. I also watched the Oldham/Everton game on Saturday and the ref was clearly heard using first names to Everton players, don't suppose Oldham got the same treatment. Some of the decisions yesterday were poor but I didn't expect anything else. Even the Daily Mail was critical of this ref, can't believe I agree with that paper. I don't suppose it influenced the result in the end but it leaves a bad taste.

Ref Watch

..............think it goes to show how good the ref in the first game was.............

Ref Watch

I would say Premier League ref for Premier League team, but to be fair 1 or 2 of the top refs arent like that. Swarbrick is still someone finding his way in the Premier League and hes not going to want to be singled out by Chelsea. The big teams do have a ridiculous amount of influence over referees these days, just look at the Clattenburg incident earlier this season. So im not surprised he heavily favoured Chelsea, for him its not a good career move to upset them.

Think that sums it up pretty well. Hoping for better officials on Saturday.

There have been crap referees ever since they invented the game. We've seen many of them over the years at GP.

But nowdays we have a covert form of corruption going on, lead by Sir Alex but with many of the big clubs being a party to it. No money passes hands cos it's not that form of corruption. It's a case of, "If you wanna get somewhere in this game ref, then you will want me on your side. Won't you!".

RESPECT - only when you've earnt it, chum.

Couldn't agree more and the bigger the club the more it goes on.

Noticed that Keith Hill (he with the deformed arm (apologies if i offended anyone, unsure what the medical term is)) has returned to the League list after 'retiring' for 2 years. He has reffed a couple of League 2 games already. Dont know why he has returned.

Also the FL have given a couple of linos a League 2 'trial' game each, both familiar to GP. Rob Whitton from Essex has been given a game and that complete idiot Michael Bull from Chelmsford has also been given a game. Possibly one of the most incompetent linos ive ever seen, and now hes getting promoted!

Ref Watch

Lee Collins from Surrey is the man in the middle at Crawley - last reffed us in the home game with MK Dons - let's hope for the same result.

I think that when each club puts forward their ratings for the referee, the ballot paper is written in the wrong order. 1 must equal 10, 2=9 etc.....

Ref Watch

How Saturday's ref only gave 4 minutes added on time at the end was bewildering. Must have been 6 subs and two lengthy injury stoppages one of which must have been almost 4 minutes in itself. In Fergie time it would have been 8 minutes at least.

Ref Watch

Good, lets hope he sends off a home player again! - doh! I thought you meant the MK Dons game last season at MK!

prescient

sounds like he was a ****ing **** otherwise tho :mad1:

Ref Watch

Many wrong decisions it seems including booking Forshaw (yet another one for a dive - not saying he did, just what he was booked for)... how many corners/goal kicks/throw ins did he want to give when it was other way around?

Ref Watch

It,s about time Mr Benham paid his dues into The Referees Benevolent Fund!

Ref Watch

Michael Oliver.

Not impressed.

Ref Watch

I seem to remember COllins being an nightmare earlier in the season as well Unfortunately it appears he is one of the consistently inept referees.

Ref Watch

Just seen the forshaw simulation and I think when the ref looks back on that he is going to be very ashamed of himself, blatant pen in my book

To answer my own question, Keith Hill has been out of the game for 2 seasons because he was in Japan training referees. Must be part of the program which had the Japanese ref taking charge of our Cup game against Basingstoke last season

Ref Watch

A new ref to us on Saturday at carlisle - Scott Duncan then for the really big one against Swindon on Tuesday our old friend Stuart Atwell

Ref Watch

Will need translators to deal with the officials today. Ref from Newcastle, linos from Darlington and Hartlepool and 4th official from Durham!

One of our gigest league games of the season and we get a **** like that.

Ref Watch

Agreed he was really good. Never noticed him which is a good sign.

I thought he had refereed one of our games already. He was excellent and hopefully the same again.

Ref Watch

And nocoat can **** off with It's Atwell Innit ;)
