I'd agree but suspect KLP will start. Seems to be the only real selection decision in doubt. Strong bench again, except for the total lack of forwards.

Great to see Rico back. Pace is still there, unbelievable cover run to RB to make a tackle against Bournemouth.
The world’s largest IF but if he stays fit I can see him finally getting an England call up this season.

Start Rico today, but KLP starts when we come up against elite right wingers. We saw how he dealt with the likes of Salah last season.

It wasn't a penalty but then again the ref gave us a soft penalty IMO. The difference was they scored theirs and we missed.

The problem is they have all got away with it up til now.

Both penalties were soft. Henry was a bit unlucky in that he bumped into one of our own players when trying to mark/block, and then instinctively put his arms out on his man to compensate.

Rico has a huge amount of brownie points in credit but it was beyond stupid to give away a penalty like that.
We all know about the referee’s crackdown this year and it couldn’t have been made any clearer when we got our penalty earlier on.

Ill say it again and no doubt get slated.
He is still a long way off where he needs to be and KA not starting him for that reason also i assume.
No doubt he will be back to his best in months to come , but for me we need to concentrate on the players who are up to speed.
Issue is he needs minutes, but you cant give him minutes to try bring him up to speed quicker when the game is as tight as it was today.

The penalty was dubious but the fact he kept their striker onside for their winner was terrible defending. KLP ALLLLLL day long currently

Playing their guy onside for the goal was the bigger sin than the penalty IMO.
I want Rico to get more minutes and back to his best, but maybe not when the game is on a knife edge? In a tight game like yesterday it seems like an unnecessary risk, and ended up being key to our downfall.

I agree.
9 out of 10 refs wouldn’t give that pen. Watching it again he has his arm on him, but it is a clear dive. I would go as far to say had Taylor not given the first one he wouldn’t have given the second one. He was looking for it.

One great run down the pitch off the bench yesterday, was great to have that option as KLP was tiring defensively.

Partly blame that on Ethan who, for some reason, had gone sprinting up the pitch leaving Rico to get caught 2 on 1 and fluffing his pass.

Thought Rico showed how he has lost that pace which backed up his game. Due to injury and being out for so long. Sad really.

I'm not sure he's lost that much pace, it was just that Neto is faster than people realise.
I love Pinnock, but he definitely was trying to offer an outlet upfield for the mistake mentioned, and left us exposed. Henderson had a chat with EP immediately after, so clearly something wasn't to plan.
At any rate, I'm sure the more football Henry plays, the better he'll get. Hopefully with us.

I agree on yesterday’s showing. But then I hope the same as we've seen with Ethan, long lay off, on first showings was very worried. Given time he’s back. unfortunately as we have moved on so much they neither are first names on the team sheet anymore.
