Its a complicated old process that q School lark. I see John Part, Fallon Sherrock and Andy Hamilton were all beat yesterday but get a few more chances in the week.
I was going to enter myself. Seems anyone can!

Also Jimmy Bristow...

You probably could if you paid the entrance fee. Didnt we have a member on here who entered a big pool competition that was on Sky Sports? Same sort of thing I guess.

Yes, anyone can enter, I think the fee is about £400.

There are only 29 places available across both the UK and EU qualifiers so only the very, very best amateurs - or those who’ve just lost their tour cards - have a sniff.

Ironically, most will earn more at the very top of the amateur circuit than they will at the bottom of the pro tour because they have more opportunities.

Stunning 144 checkout from RVB to win the match at the Dutch World Series event last night.

Both Nathan Aspinall and Luke Humphries lost heavily. The former looks in a particularly bad way. PDC have done him no favours putting him back in the PL this year

Dimitri Van den Bergh hits a 9 darter in his Round 2 victory over MVG at the World Masters.

Took the less common 7 x T20, 1 x T15, 1 x D18 route and never looked like he was going to miss.

The Darts

I’m enjoying the best of three legs for a set format. Makes the matches feel incredibly fast.

9 Darters seem to be a lot more common these days, with at least one, it seems in every competition.

Decent final tonight.
Humphries looked in prime position then Jonny Clayton came back before Luke H won.

The Darts

Now 5-5 after Cross misses two darts at double 18!

Littler to throw first in the last leg. What a game!

The Darts

Not the last time we will have a Luke v Luke in a Darts final, over the next few years.

First time in a while that I’ve seen something like this. The “party atmosphere” is a big selling point for the PDC but the players, rightly so, have had enough

The Darts

Price enjoying himself knocking the two Lukes tonight - can he go all the way?

I turned on late but he played great against Humphries. Hit all 5 of his first 5 doubles, including a 170 check out.

And he won it.

Suspect a Price v Aspinall final will be a bit of an outlier in this year's PL, surely it'll mainly be LL, LH and MVG? Best player won on the night though.

Yes well played to him.

Shpws what good momentum can do .

Very much enjoying the World Seniors this weekend. The first round last week was a bit iffy but from the QFs onwards it’s been superb. Good to see a packed Circus Tavern.

The Darts

Greaves v Humphries in the 4th round of the UK open!
Littler just beat Wright 10-9 in a superb match.

I love the UK Open - it’s comfortably the best tournament of the year. I was meant to be there this weekend but family circumstances prevented it.

The Darts

Ladbroke’s UK Open - Sunday 2nd March
Quarter Finals: 12:45 ITV4 / ITV X
Semi Finals / Final: 19:00 ITV4 / ITV X

Quarter Final line up:
Gian van Veen v Luke Littler
Josh Rock v Nathan Aspinall
Jonny Clayton v Michael Smith
James Wade v Luke Humphries

It’s a completely open draw (no seedings) so anyone can play anyone at any stage.

Humphries has won his Round 5 & 6 matches 10-0 & 10-2, respectively; as well as 25 out of the last 27 legs he’s played.
One word for that, “Magic darts”.
