Five-year rolling TAPs model??
Not only that but it was always a hack as they never natively supported a loyalty points system. Not surprised with Kurt’s adjustments all over it.

Not surprised with Kurt’s requirements specification and procurement expertise. Should have stuck to umpah bands. Not only that but it was always a hack as they never natively supported a loyalty points system.
Indeed. However I would temper your expectationsHopefully the emails come out quickly this week and everyone will know where they stand
Have we not mentioned this particular mess before ?The SecuTix data is a mess.
Yes many times - if you remember before Ticketmaster you had to keep track of your own TAPs by screenshotting it and then trying to work out why/when it had gone up or down. You couldn't easily see what matches you had earned TAPs for, you just had a running total.Have we not mentioned this particular mess before ?
Of course it is.Yes, I know it can be done, we had done and do a few every year. But from "can be done" to use it supporting an argument like "kids can attend all the home and away games for 5 years", well it's a bit of a stretch IMO.
Oh.Has to be family ie Mum,dad, kids
? indeed!
Fewer fatties = more seats.? indeed!
no gays and no Mohammeds allowed so far ? ?
Next they may come for the fatties
Double TAPs for fatties?? indeed!
no gays and no Mohammeds allowed so far ? ?

Double chipsDouble TAPs for fatties?
You’ll set off a diversion of this thread into debating why they don’t sell chips like they did at GP.Double chips
They want more families to attend i read.
I'd speculate @horhambees might have meant eg rather than ie?
or maybe we could have another criteria, such as how many burgers you can eat in a day.Can a fan see their rolling 5 year TAPS amount and their Lifetime TAPS? Maybe when we play Real Madrid in a European Cup final if there are many fans at a rolling TAPS cut-off we can use Lifetime TAPS to decide who gets the opportunity to buy a ticket
At pretty much every ground a CL final would be played at we could guarantee a ticket to all STs and members regardless of TAPs. Ditto any domestic game at Wembley. I think had we got to the ECL final last season at a ground in Athens with a 32k capacity we’d have done well to have sold out our allocation as I’m not completely convinced we have over 10k fans who could at fairly short notice shell out over a grand each to attend even that big a game. Happy to be corrected next year if we have long term fans who still come missing out on one of 20k tickets to the ECL Final in Leipzig because of the loss of pre-21-22 TAPs.Can a fan see their rolling 5 year TAPS amount and their Lifetime TAPS? TAPs are, and have only ever been, relevant for tiny away ends; which happen rarely these days.At pretty much every ground a CL final would be played at we could guarantee a ticket to all STs and members regardless of TAPs. I’m sure a lot would be keen but the actual demand is highly likely to be suppressed sufficiently by the non-ticket costs of travelling. Almost certainly by enough to mean that any long term fan who still comes regularly to away games can get a ticket. We have a little over 30k STs and Members. For good reason we hold the club’s feet to the fire to keep Gtech tickets affordable. I’m somewhat sceptical that a fanbase who’d be rightly outraged and in many cases completely priced out by us pricing like Fulham’s new stand would also go “a grand for tickets, travel and accommodation for a Conference League group stage game, yeah, all 30k are well up for that!”TAPs are, and have only ever been, relevant for tiny away ends; which happen rarely these days.
But I suspect if we ever made it in to Europe, then even a large away capacity allocation would be subject to huge demand.
....you won't be missing much mate....I assume it's still the same as it was all those years ago in leagues 1 and 2.... probably a sanitised version mind....no running battles expected in the park outside the ground in 2025....the games gone. This thread just cemented my suspicions I wouldn't get Bournmouth away tickets. I haven't tried for them before and I forgot their stadium was quite so small tbh, thought it was similar to ours.

Well i might as well hand my ticket back now.? indeed!

This would also have been true pre-2021. A lot refused to go to spend £47 to watch us at Sheff W because they couldn’t afford it.Football is expensive and so are rents and mortgages. I expect some of Cliff’s friends will even tell us that school fees are high too. But, the point is that if anybody is suffering any short term financial challenges their ability to acquire TAP’s may be reduced. Irrespective of previous away grounds visited and TAP’s aquired over the years a change to the current TAP system would disadvantage anybody who was experiencing a short term financial hardship.
Last year was brilliant , great turn out in the sun in the Aruba beach bar !....you won't be missing much mate....I assume it's still the same as it was all those years ago in leagues 1 and 2.... probably a sanitised version mind....no running battles expected in the park outside the ground in 2025....the games gone.![]()
Only if you have ginger hair. Fwiw my DNA on Ancestry.com is 53 % Welsh, 40% English, 5% Scandinavian, and 2% Bengali. Life's rich tapestry and all that.Well i might as well hand my ticket back now.
Just to clarify, I am of Black American heritage, mixed with Chinese, 1.56 meters tall at a 150 kilo's, that has the pleasure of, yet to decide.
Oh well it was nice knowing you all.

You are deffo new. Never heard of play offs?TAPs are, and have only ever been, relevant for tiny away ends; which happen rarely these days.

That’s also true but not sure that provides a reason for wiping those points from fans who did attend? Economic situations change in people’s lives and the great thing about the current system is they are acquired over a lifetime of being a bees fan not just the past five years ability of somebody to watch the bees. This would also have been true pre-2021. A lot refused to go to spend £47 to watch us at Sheff W because they couldn’t afford it.
Five years is quite a long time though. That’s also true but not sure that provides a reason for wiping those points from fans who did attend? Economic situations change in people’s lives and the great thing about the current system is they are acquired over a lifetime of being a bees fan not just the past five years ability of somebody to watch the bees.
It would be wonderful if any changes made to the system could include some kind of reflection for previous bees support?
What’s one of those? You are deffo new. Never heard of play offs?
There’s a lot of us who gained TAP’s attending play-offs!What’s one of those?
The existence of the discussions was not confidential and I’ve not shared anything disclosed to BIAS in confidence. Is this the first time that confidential discussions between the club and the supporters groups has been leaked on the GPG?
Apologise... i mis-read the first postThe existence of the discussions was not confidential and I’ve not shared anything disclosed to BIAS in confidence.
I love a monorail me......Honest to God, sometimes this board reminds me of Springfield and its tendency to get its knickers in a twist before anything has happened, or about something that someone says has happened but actually hasn't.
All together now, Monorail, Monorail...
If there was any “leak” then it was on the clubs websiteIs this the first time that confidential discussions between the club and the supporters groups has been leaked on the GPG?

Have you talked to the TO about this?I have a son in school age (10) who could not make Villa,Fulham and Chelsea away in the league and Colchester and Newcastle in the Cup.
Season ticket holder and 3300 Taps in his name and going week in week out.
He will, more than likely, miss Muff and The Toon away between now and the final game at Wolverhampton and possibly miss Ipswich depending on sales windows.
Its a challenge, but trust me it can be done.
The biggest difficulty is buying a ticket just for him when i can and the club do not like selling him a single ticket despite me already buying mine.
I have on numerous occassions and the last one was Tottenham when i rang the club up as his tranche went on sale and i managed to find 4 together after buying 2 in the first tranche.Have you talked to the TO about this?
I have had the same issue but since talking to someone in the TO have not had any further issues in terms of not sending out a single U18 ticket with no accompanying adult one.
They now send out the tickets all together too instead of two different envelopes.
The foreunner, loyalty points, which are included in the current TAPs totals, launched in August 2013 I believe. How many years have taps been going?
There’s a post from me in 2015 writing about club shop purchases: “You cannot gain points by buying online at present - it is available to personal callers only.”The foreunner, loyalty points, which are included in the current TAPs totals, launched in August 2013 I believe.
You can read a bit about its launch here

BFC Membership Scheme
Anymore news on this??.............. Should I be re-newing my BIAS Membership or be waiting for the club's 'official' scheme to come out or both??........ How will 'The Charter' work this season??............ Thanks............griffinpark.org
I agree with this. I have been fortunate that in the period since TAPs were introduced I have attended a whole lot more games than I did, say, in the 80s and 90s when I worked away from home and often travelled at weekends. I also worked until late at night when in my normal London office. Of course, during that time, it was a case of paying on the gate, home and away. I face the prospect of attending far fewer aways in the future so expect to drop down the TAPs rankings over time. It is hard to devise a fair system to reflect, for example, years away at university or the commitment of a young family or, indeed, personal finance. That’s also true but not sure that provides a reason for wiping those points from fans who did attend? Economic situations change in people’s lives and the great thing about the current system is they are acquired over a lifetime of being a bees fan not just the past five years ability of somebody to watch the bees.

Shambles really. As @hobbsy mentioned, the pre ticketmaster data is terrible.
I mean, I have been to Hartlepool 400+ times, will Mo have time to stick around for a chat after dropping it off or does he have to rush for his next job.If you’ve been to Hartlepool 8 times then I’ll get Mo Farah to deliver your pizza
